Migration of HFM

I have HFM on server A... now faces the same pattern in serere B where I configured the new HFM instance.

Now, after a while there is an HFM application developed on server A, I need to move it is the instance of the server B of HFM...

my options:

(1) copy utility simply running app-, but this could take a long time.

diagram of A 2) export server on server B, a dpuis on server B, run the utility to copy app

Diagram 3) Server B replace server a schema, then reconfigure HFM.

movement artifacts 4) by LCM and data move schema on server B and execute copy utility App.

Your comments please.

Concerning

Hello Rickepm,

We always use copy app utility. Do to minimize downtime of the server A is to copy the application to a temp on a server application, it takes only 1 or 2 hours, depends on your app size, server capacity and the speed of the network. Once it's done, the server application should be available for the developers/users to use, and then copy the temporary application to Server B. That's what we did if we need to copy HFM app in environments.

HFM rules can be extracted from a 9.3.1 application and then load in a 11.1.2.1 application without modification. Simply choose to extract the rules of the 9.3.1 asks who will write a file with. ELA extension. Then open the 11.1.2.1 application and load the rule using this file. Simple as that.

  • 11.1.1.3 to 11.1.2.3 HFM migration

    Hello

    1. the use of schema conversion utility based system to migrate a HFM and FDM in its current State 11.1.1.3 to 11.1.2.3 application. It work?

    2. How can I put HFR 11.1.1.3 to 11.1.2.3 reports

    (1) Yes.  The schema of HFM and FDM update utility works 11.1.1.3 to 11.1.2.3, although it is not officially supported by Oracle.  HSS and BI + cannot be updated.

    (2) for reports, LCM will not work between these versions.  11.1.1.3 export and import of 11.1.2.3 will work, but you need to manually reapply all the permissions to report.

Note: Oracle changed the engine of calculation between these two versions, so be very careful for recon data that do not change your numbers after consolidating in 11.1.2.3.

  • FDMEE MIGRATION

    Hello Experts,

I'm having a problem related to the migration of fdmee of the environment from the source to the target environment. I managed to import all of the artifacts of the source to the target environment. Now, instead of run state of loading data into environmental target in order to load the data in the application of hfm, can I copy the fdmee guard that includes the Inbox, Outbox, and so on in my environment target source and update the path of this directory in the target location? Would this fill data in hfm? Otherwise, always what I run manually the loading status of data just like in the source.

    Help appreciated!

The repository FDMEE does not hold HFM data. To enter data in HFM your new target environment, you would have to charge if your target application HFM had no data. Or if you also migrate your HFM application you could simply make sure that you move the data, as well as metadata

  • HFM - Services down copy utility

    Hi all

I use HFM 11.1.2.3 version and trying to copy the application QA HFM in Dev using HFM environment copy utility. I checked that no user not connected to QA HFM application.

Is - mandatory down services QA to perform the copy of the application to QA environment for Dev Environment?

I also have another question. Is it possible that I can get the QA application profile to create the same apps in Dev? I did export LCM and I got the application.xpad.xml file. But it is is not clear to me to create the new creation of the application. Please could you suggest any solution to create the new application in Dev as similar to QA.

    Thank you

    Michel K

    Hello

Regarding your first question. It is not mandatory, but it is preferable to stop services because in the earlier version, he was known to corrupt the application. In a sense bringing the service just ensures that nobody is able to connect.

Way the easiest way is to use LCM. All you have to do is go to export Service QA-Shared objects you need and then import it on the Dev reuse LCM.

With your question, I guess, that you try to migrate a HFM-EPMA of QA dev app. To make sure you get exact copy, you must run the utility to copy of HFM app and even take the export of LCM > EPMA > and import it into the DEV server. This will ensure that you have the data and metadata in place.

  • HFM export and import of security from one environment to another

    Hi all

I had an obligation to migrate the HFM application (V11.1.2) from one environment to another environment.

I've migrated the application via the HFMCopyApplication.exe utility.

could you please guide me how to export security from one environment to the other so that I can reproduce the security too

    Thank you

    VT

    Hi 2687075,

If your environment is the same or similar version and the application groups are named the same, you can use LCMS as suggested by Amarnath.  You'll want to come the native Directory artifact that contains native users, Aboriginal groups (with their AD/native users) and roles.  Be careful when you do this, if you use accounts/passwords different in each environment native user as the new will overwrite the old.

    Thank you

  • HFM, FDM 11.1.2.2 to 9.3.1 price drop?

    Hi all

Could someone please suggest Rollbacking (Migrating) of HFM and FDM 11.1.2.2 9.3.1

    > Is this possbile?, if he is kindly share the steps?

There is no other possibility I could think.

    1. have a backup of database 9.3.1 database.

    2. If you want to restore to 9.3.1 at some point then just install the 9.3.1 software and connect to the database.

If you do not have the 9.3.1 database backup or the 9.3.1 application artifacts such profile, metadata, rules, data and journals then it is not at all possible for us to downgrade the 11.1.2.2. database of the 9.3.1. ORACLE COULD ONLY HELP.

How do I solve this problem

    Have you run update schema?

  • Problem changing the database of reports of HFM

Hi, I have currently two applications in HFM, one is for the development and the other for testing

I have several reports in my application dev., and I'm trying to use them in the test application.

I followed the manual instructions on how to change the connection of database reports using the tools-> menu change the database connection on the workspace.

I managed to most of the cases, but 4 reports throw a warning that says ArrayIndexOutOfBounds that blocks the process of "migration."

Could someone help me with this one?

    Thank you

I hate to say it, but I have a lot of problems with that too. Sometimes it does not give an error, but it does not work. My solution is to change the connection of database outside the workspace and re-import them manually. In particular, this makes the most sense if you have a quantity in bulk of reports to work with. (i.e., I have a new app and I want to import a group of reports to run against it).

As I do this is to use a text search and replace tool and replace the existing information in the database with the new information.

I've posted a text on how to do it here.

I'll see if I can find it and I will update this post with a link.

Edit: Link is here: Re: migration of HFM, FDM, SS one env to another

Look at my notes of the workspace as I speak to you of migration related to a different environment that has the idea of Basic.

  • Add Member error data form

    Hello gurus,

I am running into an error with the data forms saying "an unknown error has occurred in the HsvWebFormGeneratorACM object. The error occurs when I open the form data in excel and then try to add a member to a billing on R15 (please see text below). The "Add Member" feature works fine when I shoot to the top of the form of data in the browser.

So Far, based on the OTN forums and the idea of Oracle knowledge base, I have 1) removed all replacements on the blank lines and SCalc and 2) removed all deletion on the data form options.

This page was built in HFM 11.1.2.0 and we just migrated to HFM 11.1.2.2.304 during an upgrade. I'm pulling into excel using Smart View 11.1.2.2.300 (soon to update 11.1.2.2.310).

I'd appreciate it really all comments or advice from someone who has faced this problem before or can find out what is causing the problem.

    Thank you!

  • 9.2 versions of Planning, Essbase and HFM to 11.1.2 migration

    Hi all

I am new to the world of Hyperion and assigned to a project in which we migrate from * 9.2 versions of Planning, Essbase and HFM to * 11.1.2 *.

Any help / suggestions would be much appreciated.

Could someone please explain step by step process, we should take to migrate from * 9.2 to * 11.1.2? *

    Thank you very much!

You will need to perform a new installation of 11.1.2 as there is no upgrade option.

Create an empty application and a copy of the database.

Check - upgrade 9.2.0.3 to 11.1.2 with or without SP1 update scripts
