Migration repository subversion

Hello

I just moved my work to a new laptop computer.  I have set up in the new computer and transferred subversion repository from the old to the new computer using the svnadmin dump and load.  However, when I connected my sites in Dreamweaver (CS5.5) to the new standards, it does not seem to recognize any of the older versions.  When I select 'Version Control' in the menu, the option "Show revisions" is grayed out.  So essentially, all files are treated as new files.  In other words, my migration from the repository has not worked as I can't compare my files for older versions.

One possible reason is that my CF directory has changed.  In the old laptop, my files are stored in C:\websites\cf9\sitename, while in the new laptop, I use C:\websites\cf10\sitename.  I think that it shouldn't matter because the location of the file must match the path to the svn server, IE.  "myserver/svn/nom_du_site" and not to their physical location.

Anyway, any suggestion as to what I should do?

Thank you.

Understood what happened. In each case, he has a record of .svn (can be hidden).  In this folder there is a file called entered. This file contains the name of the subversion server. Since I changed my computer, the name of the server changed subversion also. So I had to edit this file to reflect the new name of the server.  I used notepad ++ to search the files tool to perform bulk changes. Only tricky part is that the .svn files are read only, so I have to you, particularly uncheck this flag in Solution Explorer.

Once I changed the name of the server in the Scriptures, I clicked on update status in dw and I get my deposit back.

    I'm filing our great Oracle Designer migration to Oracle SQL Devleoper Data Modeler. A few months back I imported Designer SDDM and changed some diagrams to resemble those in the designer in a sandbox on my workstation. In the meantime I've set up a repository subversion on a server and made changes in the designer. At this point, I want a smooth migration of the designer and to merge with the sandbox. It's only a couple of patterns that have been modified in SDDM.

    It is interesting to try to merge, only two patterns? If it's worth what is the process? I watched several videos and know how to import Designer SDDM and check it into Subversion. But how do I merge what is already on my workstation in Subversion.

    I'm on SDDM V3.1.1.703 and VisualSubversion V 2.5.6.

    Thank you

    Hi Marcus,

    It is not possible to merge the only patterns if you do not merge used objects. I logged a bug for this.

  • Impossible to associate migration repository

    Hi, I'm at my wits end trying to associate a repository of migration using the 4.0.2.15 sql developer and oracle 12 c. my user is in a pdb file.

    I created a new pdb file with the administrator.

    I created a new user using the script:

    CREATE a USER myuser

    DEFAULT TABLESPACE USERS
    TEMPORARY TEMP TABLESPACE
    unlimited quota on users;

    GRANT CONNECT, RESOURCE, CREATE SESSION, CREATE VIEW TO myuser.

    are there opportunities to locate the necessary scripts that are used to create the migration repository so that I can find the problem?

    or you is a way to capture the ddl/dml failures on the database?

    You can use 4.1. Open the cover of the journal. Click on the statements page. You'll see what we do.

  • MSSQL Server 2000 to Oracle 11 g: error on the Migration repository linking

    Hello! I'm currently migrating a MS SQL Server 2000 database to Oracle 11 g. With the help of:

    SQL Developer Version 4.0.2.15 Build 15.21

    JDK1.7.0_65

    I sysad account in MS SQL Server 2000, but have limited the privilege with Oracle 11 g as we have another group of TI that govern. Reading the documentation of migration said in the tutorial of migration of a database server Microsoft SQL to Oracle Database 11 g, I asked our IT to create the user using the following script:

    CREATING USER MWREP
    IDENTIFIED BY mwrep
    DEFAULT TABLESPACE MWREP_DATA
    TEMPORARY TABLESPACE TEMP;

    GRANT CONNECT, RESOURCE, CREATE SESSION, SEE at MWREP;

    Using the user defined MWREP, I tried to create the migration repository using SQL Developer, but it returned an error:

    SQL error on executing the Script

    Try to delete the repository before the creation of repository

    I tried to delete the repository, but he returned a denunciation of the question:

    Removal of the migration repository is completed, however, there was a problem with the deletion.  There may be several reasons for this. (1) the connection is not open.  (2) the repository has been damaged.  (3) there was no repository in this regard.  Db objects have not been deleted. The saved connection has been removed from the migration repository list

    Reading further, I came across these topics: How to remove a directory, How to associate Migration repository when using the tooland https://blogs.oracle.com/OCP10to11/entry/sqldeveloper_try_deleting_repoand learns that it is caused by a limited tablespace. Given that our IT run the following script to change the user MWREP:

    ALTER USER MWREP QUOTA UNLIMITED ON MWREP_DATA;

    But I still encounter the same error than repository migration association. Do I need a sysad privilege to continue with the association? (The generated code will run in by IT after conversion and translation). Do not change the quota of the user on the tablespace not yet enough?

    Any help is appreciated. Thank you in advance!

    LCM happens correctly in the source? You see folders are created with the correct names?

    Try is change fileSystem.friendlyNames false, so that LCM doesn't create friendly records. It will replicate this folder structure you have in the folder data biplus.

    Hi dbcapoeira

    I would say that the database user has no privileges on tablespace space.

    Something like:

    delete and create the user from a sql command prompt then "Grant unlimited tablespace to " DBA. then associate the repository

    (partner must do everything that creates it and inserts)

    (Grant "resource", used to give privileges on tablespace space, not in 12 c).

    You can create a table in the tablespace without data in 12 c as it is a metadata operation - no blocks are affected in the target tablespace.

    An "empty" from repository has a few entries of data such as its version number.

  • Steps to migrate repository master 1 database to another

    Hi all

    I am new to ODI, but was assigned to a project to a different master repository ODI databases for our DVRs of test and production. It is just the main repository that needs to be moved, referential work are stored in other DB.

    Looking at our current configuration seems to me if we have 1 master repository for all DVRs (3 approx) test and a repository of Mater separate for Production approx. We have to move both the test and prod repositories masters to 2 different databases.

    The new databases will be Oracle db version 11.2.0.1 or 11.2.0.2 old DB was master repositories resident now are Oracle db version 10.2.0.2.

    Can you get it someone please let me know the steps I have to do to make this migration? Or is there any document out there covering this task?

    Thanks, Ali

    I see two ways to address this issue.
    Method - 1

    Export and import the schema from a database to a different database like Bill said.
    Login and go to the topology - > repositories - edit the master repository and update the connection string and the pattern and the test and apply. Make sure you have the complete control repository already imported.
    Edit the connection String in the designer and the topology so that they can read the new Master Correct repository.

    Assistant database upgrade is also responsible for the upgrade of the old database again with all schemas. You can reach your DBA for this method.

    Method - 2

    Export the master repository
    Create the new schema in the most recent 11g database and import the repository captain in insert mode, and then change the connection designer and topology details.

    Since your working repository is in the different database, I think that you should not worry abt

  • Repository migration to a secondary server in clustered environment

    I implemented a clustered of QA following environment
    Machine 1 - main cluster service, host of Java, Presentation Server and the BI server. This server also has the master repository
    Machine 2 - secondary cluster service, host of Java, Presentation Server and the BI server.

    Everything works fine. Now, I'm trying migrate repository updated dev to QA. I dropped all services, copied the new repositoty to 3 - Reposioty directory on server 1, shared location and directory of repository on the secondary server.

    When I do the service to the top the machine 2, the repository on machine 2 is returned to the previous version of the repository. I see this by noting that the date of the last modification of the repository gets changed at an early date. SO I understand that machine 2 tries to synchronize with the master repository on the computer 1. But why is it synchronize with an older version of the repository when I placed the new repository as master?

    Any help is greatly appreciated

    Published by: VNC on January 25, 2010 11:49

    In a cluster environment, when we modify the repository on the online mode, it will create files in the shared location. The file name will be "> .rpd. " >". This file will reflect the secondary repository when you reboot the secondary server to BI.
    "In your case, you have replaced the RPD file in 3 places, but even these".rpd. > "files reside there. reflects this file in the secondary server. So, you can remove the primary and secondary location .sav files, and also remove all the .rpd. > files from the shared location. That will solve your problem.

  • Migration from MySQL to Oracle SQL does not

    Hello everyone,

    I am new to Oracle SQL, but since our MySQL database is more and get more slowly, I would like to test the performance of Oracle SQL.

    So, I downloaded the current Oracle Linux distro and installed Oracle Database 11 g Express Edition.

    I connected with Oracle SQL Developer and started to migrate the MySQL database by following each step of this tutorial.

    I had to abandon all the privileges of the user migration (otherwise the creation and the deleteion of the migration repository did not) and I have disabled the migration of constraints to make migration work.

    Then I proceeded through all of the steps of the tutorial and ended with a "successful migration.

    The last step of the tutorial, it was to connect to the db migrated (using a combination of username/password generated name), it was not possible.

    What do I already checked?

    • Logged on as user system, I see that there is no new user created for the migrated db
    • Looking at the overview in the migration repository I see 3 phases, not knowing if the third displays an error or if it is not necessary at all (I got 58 tables in the db of the source)
      • Capture of 58/58
      • Convert 58/58
      • Compile 0/58

    From here, I don't know where to look for additional errors.

    I still can't use the migrated db and so I can't go forward with my tests.

    I missed something?

    I would appreciate your help.

    Astaldo

    Astaldo salvation,

    First, you must use SQL Developer 4.0.2 If you aren't already. It is available for free on OTN

    http://www.Oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/SQL-Developer/downloads/index-098778.html

    There are two ways to convert tables from MySQL to Oracle.

    1) copy to Oracle

    (2) migration to Oracle.

    Copy to Oracle is the simplest method. It does not imply the creation of a repository of migration.  But it only migrates data without constraints or default values or indexes and tables. The set of data to move should be reasonably low as it is moved on JDBC.

    It may suit your purpose to try to Oracle.

    http://dermotoneill.blogspot.co.UK/2010/11/copy-to-Oracle.html

    Migrate Oracle requires the implementation of a migration repository. But he migrate the default settings, constraints, and indexes and can also provide scripts offline data move that can manage the circulation of large data sets.

    Here is a small script to create a new MIGRATIONREPO user, and grant the correct privileges.

    CREATE USER MIGRATIONREPO IDENTIFIED BY oracle.

    ALTER USER MIGRATIONREPO QUOTA UNLIMITED ON USERS;

    GRANT CONNECT, RESOURCE, CREATE VIEW, CREATE MATERIALIZED VIEW to MIGRATIONREPO;

    Then using SQL Developer, create a connection to MIGRATIONREPO, right-click on the connection and choose "associate the Migration repository.

    I hope you have success best creation of migration with the privileges of theses repository.

    Migration Wizard step 8: target database

    Choose Offline Mode.

    This will present you with a build script that you can inspect before the race.

    The build script must be run using the SQL Developer worksheet and choose free user sufficiently privileged in Oracle generally SYSTEM.

    Note that if you would rather work with the repository you must currently you can browse your browser of Migration.

    Access converted database objects, right-click and select "generate the target".

    This will again open the Migration Wizard in step 8. Allowing you to choose Offline Mode so that you can review the build script.

    Hope this helps,

    Kind regards

    Dermot.

    Hello

    My guess is the user you tried to install/partner to the migration repository done don't have the appropriate privileges.

    Best to start over if we can enter the question.

    Start by creating a new user in Oracle for the migration repository. Give the correct privileges

    > Connect to SYS or SYSTEM and run the following commands

    Migrep CREATE a USER identified by migrep;

    GRANT connect, resources, create view, create a view on migrep;

    ALTER USER migrep unlimited quota on USERS;

    Now using SQL Developer, create a connection to the MIGREP and associate the migration repository in this regard.

    Check if migration Repository packages have been created and are compiled valid. Worth the package bodies are valid as well.

    I hope it was just a privilege you were missing.

    Kind regards

    Dermot.

    I try with model db (DB empty, just a single table), but the error is same. However, if I try to copy the acronym tabele from SQL Server to Oracle it works fine...

    I guess it's something with the configuration, but beacause I am new in Oracle still have no idea...

    Any help would be much appreciated

    I thank in advance

    Stefan

    Hello Stefan,

    did you create the repository Migration of your database to Oracle (Tools-> Migration-> repository management)?

    The SS2K5ALLPLATFORM package is usually created when you add the migration of the Oracle database repository and it contains the function StageCapture.

    So please make sure that you have created a repository of migration in an Oracle database and associate it with the first step of your migration.

  • Migration from db2 to Oracle - different schemas

    Using the Migration Wizard from the SQL Developer, can I migrate from a db2 schema to another Oracle schema?

    I know that I am able to do the following:

    Source: db2Database target: OracleDatabase.userA

    And the db2 schema (say UserA) is recreated in the OracleDatabase as UserA.

    However, I would like to make

    Source: db2Database.userA target: OracleDatabase:userB

    So far I have not much chance.  Any suggestion would be appreciated...

    Thank you

    \k

    I found a solution.

    I kept the privileges of the user in the State for UserB (is that I used the following)

    GRANT CREATE SESSION, RESOURCE, CREATE VIEW, CREATE MATERIALIZED VIEW, CREATE SYNONYM TO UserB.

    I also changed my preferences under Options Migration\Generation and selected the option of least privilege Schema Migration

    Before data movement occurs, manually, I went into the table MD_SCHEMAS in the migration repository and indicated to the schema UserB (by changing the column NAME for UserB)

    Then with the data step moving ==> it works.  Correctly, the data is migrated in the correct schema,

    Thanks for your help!

  • Access of migration on 64-bit

    Have a thread in the forum of the apex on the exporter tool works only on 32-bit office. Access exporter. 64-bit Version

    After watching this: http://www.oracle.com/webfolder/technetwork/tutorials/obe/db/hol08/sqldev_migration/msaccess/migrate_microsoft_access_otn.htm and this http://www.oracle.com/webfolder/technetwork/tutorials/obe/db/hol08/sqldev_migration/msaccess/viewlets/access_capture.html (Toos-> Migration-> exporting Access + Migration) repository, I think it depends on the same tool.

    The last thing I stumbled on was exemplary in Oracle when right click on a dial-up connection or table. However, when it works, I seem to face an error: failure JournalArticles of table. Message: [Microsoft] [ODBC Driver Manager] invalid length string or buffer.

    Curiously, is not error in the same place every time:
    < snip >
    Table JournalArticles failed. Message: [Microsoft] [ODBC Driver Manager] string length or invalid buffer

    < snip >
    Notes to table failed. Message: [Microsoft] [ODBC Driver Manager] string length or invalid buffer

    < snip >
    Table JournalArticles failed. Message: [Microsoft] [ODBC Driver Manager] string length or invalid buffer

    < snip >
    Conferences of the table failed. Message: [Microsoft] [ODBC Driver Manager] string length or invalid buffer
    >

    After doing a bit of research, it seems that this error is related to 64-bit (as well).

    Possibly related: {message identifier: = 10030903}

    ... I guess I better get my hands on a 32-bit OS/Office! (or any other options)

    I also tried starting sqldeveloper in debug mode as described: http://www.thatjeffsmith.com/archive/2012/06/how-to-collect-debug-info-for-oracle-sql-developer/, but no output was generated really related to the question.

    Hello

    It is not very likely a problem with the JDBC-ODBC bridge. This problem has been tapped already against SQL Developer, and it has been fixed in the last week. Version 3.2.2.09.69 and later contain the fix. The latest version on OTN is 24-Sep-2012, so it cannot include the fix.

    Please look out on OTN until the next version of SQL Developer will be available. Here is the reference of the bugs:

    BUG 13367076 - WIN 64 BIT: ACCESS: COPY TO GET the ORACLE, 'INVALID STRING OR BUFFER' ERROR

    You don't see this bug in My Oracle Support because it is hidden for guests.

  • Needs of the company to run for Regional service rule Migration

    We have issues with the server of the Regional service in one of the env, it is offline. The user wants to access this env BR, so server EAS must run to migrate these BR using LCM or LCM would connect with the database for the migration repository.

    If you use the LCM, you don't have to have EAS running. However, HBR is probably the weakest feature of LCM (in my experience).

    Now it is clear that has happened - the repository for the Migration of SQL Developer is created successfully.

    I did not really notice you use Oracle 9i to store the good SQL Dev repository as specified above. Using an Oracle 9i database to store the repository will fail create several packages and the packages are marked as invalid in the Oracle db.

    When you have a look at the invalid objects by using this query:
    Select user_objects object_name, object_type, State where status = 'INVALID ';
    You will see several packages required by the migration utility (such as MIGRATION, of MIGRATION_TRANSFORMER, a few MD % triggers etc.) are marked as invalid.

    When you try to recompile them manually you will get errors like:

    SQL > alter compilation of migration package;

    WARNING: The package has been modified with compilation errors.

    SQL > show errors

    The cause is that the SQL Developer migration repository can be stored in a 9i database more. You must use a database 10g or more recent. So please, create the repository again in an Oracle 10 g 2 or more recent database.
