Migration to new ipad

I have a new Ipad 2 air inlet. My old 4 Ipad is already running iOS 9.2. How do you know before you turn on the new ipad if they already have iOS 9 on it? And if the new Ipad 2 to Air a still iOS 8 on it, what will happen when I try to migrate the information from the Ipad 4. I use iTunes rather than the cloud to do the migration. I hope this question makes sense.

The new iPad 2 Air iOS 9.2 update. You cannot use the backup of the old

iPad 4 running iOs 9.2 on the new iPad 2 air unless the Air 2 is running iOS 9.2

or a later version.

When your new iPad 2 Air arrives, look at settings > General > about > Version. If not, 9.2,

Update.

  • Migration to a new Ipad

Just got my wife a new Ipad.  A 4 to a 1st gen air movement.

I have saved everything to a PC via Itunes and restored the backup to the new Ipad.  Everything seemed to go well, but she tried to access some PDF files and they appeared briefly but now aren't there.

It's the iBooks app? If not...?

If it's in iBooks so are they to the computer iTunes library, you will produce > devices > transfer purchases to copy on the old iPad (transfer purchases must copy files PDF or EPUB in the iBooks app, not only of real ibooks)? The content of the iBooks app is not included in the actual backup, restore will attempt to pick them up in the section books from the iTunes library (same music is taken from my music library) - if they are not in the library of the restoration cannot copy them on a device, so their covers could show briefly after a restore , but will disappear if the files are not available.

  • New SIM card new iPad mini 4 offer only AT & T refurb apple

I bought an iPad mini 4 on the Apple refurb store. It came with no SIM card. I went to my local apple retail store, and you have a card SIM Apple (after assisted by about 3 people; they seemed barely even know what I was talking about). I put the card and went data cell in the settings. Under "Choose a date plan" is the only option (already checked) "AT & T - A & T - Postpaid" and under that in the fine print, it says "SIM expired." If I tap on "Add a new plan", the only option for the carrier that appears is AT & T. After reading all about the flexibility of the Apple SIM card, I am very frustrated that it does not work as advertised. I've heard talk about AT & T lock SIM card after you choose, but I never had the chance to make the choice.

    PS. a reboot didn't help.

Back up your current iPad to a computer or iCloud. When you have the new device, restore it from the computer or iCloud. You should get all restored on the new iPad.

  • Problem to download applications with the new iPad Pro

I am not able to download apps on my new iPad Pro.  The word "waiting...". "poster permanently under the application icon.  When I try to download apps to iCloud (i.e. apps I have on other devices) I just get a circle of rotation.  I have checked and confirmed that my wifi connection works.  I have no problem to access Web sites via safari.

Try to reset the App Store:

Close the App Store completely from the window of the selector app by double clicking the Home button and slide up the App Store preview pane until it disappears from the display. Then sign out of the iTunes Store (in the settings).

    Then restart the unit.

Then sign into the iTunes Store and try to download again.

Also check the settings > general > Restrictions > and make sure that iTunes Store, Apps install, delete the Apps and In - App purchases are all under the section allow.

I just bought and set up a new iPad Pro. Everything seems to be OK, emails, calendar, contacts, photos etc showing all the top - with the exception of my (text) Messages.  Show only two messages I have sent since the introduction of the ipad. How to I synchronize / transfer my 100 texts to my new ipad?

    Thank you

    Andy

Restore you from a backup (iCloud or iTunes) from the old device?  It is the only way to get your message history to the new.

  • New iPad Pro - implement Q

I have a new IPad Pro and I backup my old ipad on the cloud, but there are a lot of pictures there that I don't want on the new. How do I just get paid for applications and the things I want on the new ipad?

The backup is virtually all or nothing. The only way to choose what to back up is if you were to delete unwanted photos out of your old device, then back up, and then restore your other from the newly formed backup.

Or you can simply find out that you need to remove unwanted things on your new device.
