Minimum width of a window / ResizeEvent?

I want to make a resizable window, but want to restrict to a minimum width, so that you can not resize smaller than 300px e.g. pane.

Is this possible?

Is there some sort of a ResizeEvent, which I could join the scene?

It sort of works, but is there a better solution?
It will Flash a lot. You can still drag the edge of the stage during a short period until the new size is defined.

Yes, the flickering was noted in the related case of Jira: http://javafx-jira.kenai.com/browse/RT-15200.
You may have to wait for version 2.1 get a better solution.

  • width of the window

Years, I found code or an addon that allowed me to change the minimum width of a window of firefox. I've searched and searched but I can't find it again. I think that I did by adding the code somewhere but just can't remember or find. So, how can I change the minimum window width in Firefox?

The file type of the file is OK (Cascading Style Sheet), but the name is wrong and must be userChrome.css with a capital 'C'.
You must also create a chrome folder (note the tiny chrome in this case) and move the userChrome.css file in this folder.

  • Cannot reduce the width of the window of Bluetooth File Exchange

The width of the window of the Bluetooth File Exchange application can not narrowed, has increased. How can I reduce the width of the window or reset default window width?

I use the Bluetooth File Exchange to browse files on a device (in my case, a Windows laptop). The application works normally, but I can't reduce the width of the window. The resizing handles only the increase in bandwidth. The height can be increased or decreased as you would expect.

This image shows the width handles can only increase the width. Now, after playing with resizing, the window is wider than my iMac 27 "screen. I see no way to reduce the width of the window. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Minimum system requirements for Windows

I'm having a 'debate' with a friend about the minimum hardware specs for Windows 7 and Windows 8.  My friend is suggesting that Microsoft greatly underestimates the amount of hard drive capacity required to support these two BONES.  Specifically, he mentioned that they do not consider the amount of space for the cache files and temporary files necessary for the operation of Windows and they minimize the requirements in order to sell the operating system.

My thoughts are that if these files are required to run the operating system, then Microsoft took them into consideration and include them in the analysis that its in line/compatibility upgrade tool performs.
You wonder what some of you think about these things.

Minimum is a lot different than recommended. Minimum is the lowest absolute that is needed to install and use Windows. This will work, but not well. Some of the older style netbook PC being used to the strict minimum and they worked well, but they were very limited in what they could do. Web browsing, light word processing was what you could do with good performance. Other that that, you do not want to upgrade the RAM and hard drive.

It is very recommended to exceed the minimum requirements for an operating system if you want to use it for any practical purpose, however.

  • HID is not in breakpoint 320 independently of the content

I have a 768 breakpoint and breakpoint 320 within a 1400 width site. In the breakpoint 320, here a text box that I have 'hidden' within this breakpoint. However, he does not hide. But, if I go to 1400 and select this same text box then "hide in other breakpoints" it hides in all. That make sense. BUT if I hide it in the breakpoint in 768, it automatically hides in the breakpoint 320. (BTW, 320 is the minimum size of site, but also a breakpoint). Clues?

320 px is the minimum page width and no breakpoint. You can see, there is no breakpoint icon.

Try to reduce the minimum page width and look what happens.

But beware: many browsers have a minimum width of their windows, so it is possible you do not reach the minimum width of your page.

  • 38.2.0 Linux Thunderbird does not width of the main window is normally paramèters

Last update prevents the resizing to a width that corresponds to the main Thunderbird window screen. The minimum width seems to be limited to an abnormally high value, which means that it is impossible to get a normal screen. The width can be increased without problem.

After further investigation, I found the cause of the problem.

It was the FoxClocks addon v 4.0.2. v v 3.4.14.1 the previous works very well and allows the main Thunderbird window to be resized normally; v4.0.2 doesn't.

  • How do I resize the window Firefox for a width in specific pixels (in Firefox)?

I need to take screenshots to a specific width. How can I set the width of the window, say, to 1275 pixels? Height is not important. I would like to be able to get rid of it in the window of Firefox itself.

    1. Open Notepad or by pressing SHIFT + F4 or by clicking on the Firefox button, open the Web Developer submenu, then choose Notepad.
    2. In the Notepad window, type window.resizeTo (1275,700);
    3. Press Ctrl + R or open the Execute menu and choose run.
  • System minimum requirments windows 7

Hello everyone, I was wondering what are the minimum system requirements for windows 7

    Thank you

all we have at the moment are applications for the rc:
    from: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/faq.aspx

These are the Microsoft minimum hardware recommendations for systems that will run the RC. These recommendations are specific to this release and are subject to change.

System requirements for Windows 7 RC:
    1 GHz or faster 32-bit (x 86) or 64-bit (x 64) processor
    1 GB of RAM (32-bit) / 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
    16 GB of disk space available (32-bit) / 20 GB (64-bit)
GPU DirectX 9 with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver

Note: Some Windows 7 features such as the ability to watch and record live TV or navigation through the use of "touch" may require advanced or additional hardware.

  • ObjectChoiceField: how to set the width of the drop-down window

    Hi guys,.

How would you define the width of the window from the drop-down list (which displays all the elements of choice of the field of your choice)? The application automatically sets the width based on the width of the items of choice.

    Thank you

    Nitin

Ever need to use it, so have not tried, but I note that the ObjectChoiceField includes a method called:

    getWidthOfChoice();

Now, I assume that the width is in pixels, and that the normal process would invoke using the field.font and make a getAdvance().  But I have often wondered if, by changing it, I would change the actual width of the field.

Maybe worth a try.  If you try it, let us know.
