Mirror of my office on my TV screen.

My roommate tinkered with some of my settings when I first connected my computer to my TV and now it acts only as an extended desktop. However, I want to my office in mirror and, despite what any forum help tell me, there is absolutely NO option in the customization only to display the settings to do this. All I can do is select my main monitor and choose to extend the desktop on a monitor. If I don't, then the second screen is disabled. How can I solve this problem and my mirrored desktop?

Hi reddragon162.

In this case, try to decrease the size of the screen by changing the display settings.

The following procedure works only for laptops. If you are using a desktop computer, you can change a view extended to a mirrored display by using the software provided with your video card or display driver.

1. open Windows Mobility Center by clicking the Start button, click on the Panel, clicking Mobile PC, and then click Mobility Center Windows.
2. on the external display tile, click Connect display.
3. in the dialog box new display detected, click on mirror, and then click OK.
More laptops use FN + F5, FN + F7 or FN + F8 to cycle through the display modes. To determine what function keyboard shortcut, you will need to use, see the documentation that came with your laptop or go to the manufacturer's Web site.

By default, when you connect an external monitor to a laptop, the same image (mirror image) of your desktop appears on the external monitor. You can try to unplug and plug the second monitor cable and see if the problem is resolved.

  • Office and loading photo-screen saver

Recently, Mac Book Pro, my wife (2009) started acting incorrectly when we go to active corners or the timer expires and should load the photos.

If I look at the screen saver preferences, we have a relatively small designated images folder. Photos of maybe 20. In preferences, we can see many lines of small images and it may be that the number of lines continues to rise. If we use Active corners or the timer expires, the screen goes black and after a minute or two, the message loading Photos appears.

I looked at all the pictures in the folder and none are corrupt. They all will normally open in preview or Graphic Converter. I tried to change to another photo folder and get the same problem.

I think rather than Office preferences and screen saver is damaged or it is maybe something stored in a library that is corrupted.

I tried to restart the laptop with the SHIFT key is pressed twice and that did not help.

This who should I try next.

Its operating system is 10.11.4 and the Mac laptop is mid-2009.

Suggestions on what do I do then?

    Howdy Gil Woolley,

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple.

I understand that you run into problems when you try to use your photos as screensaver on Mac. your wife you mentioned that you have been able to open these photos on their own with no problem, so you have tried other photos also?  If this isn't the case, I suggest that you try and make the desktop folder photos after your screen saver to see if the problem persists:

    / Library/screen saver by default/Collections

If Yes, then the next step that I suggest is to test this behavior in a new user account:

How to test with another user account

You can find out if unexpected behavior is related to the user file or a parameter in trying to reproduce the problem to a different user account. This process includes creating a new user account, connect to it and test for the issue.

    Create a test user account

    1. In the Apple menu, choose System Preferences.
    2. Click the users and groups in the System Preferences window.
    3. Click the lock icon and enter an administrator name and password.
    4. Click on the button Add (+) below the list of users.
    5. Choose a type of user in the new pop-up menu.
    6. Give the user a name and first name, account name, and password.
    7. Click OK.
    8. Close the System Preferences window.

If there are documents from your user account that you want to test with original, place a copy of these items in the shared folder in the users folder. Press the Option key while dragging a file in this folder to create a copy.

Connect to the test user account

Log out of your current user account by choosing logout in the Apple menu, and then open a session the new account that you created. If you are prompted to login with your iCloud or Apple ID account when you log in, skip this step.

    Try to reproduce the problem

Try the same steps that caused the unexpected behavior to appear. For example, if you are unable to print, try printing from this user account. If you were unable to connect to the Internet, try to navigate on a website of this user account.

  • P2V Office gives a black screen in full screen

So I have a new desktop computer and I've done a P2V on my old desk. Set up on our servers from view with a trust dedicated to me.

I can sign in, however, if I put it in mode full-screen, the screen remains black.

In fact, it displays black screen if I resize the window beyond size approximately 1290 x 790. (take a guess, I'm on a monitor 22 '')

The pool is set up to allow 2 monitors and set to max resolution.

My question is, has anyone encounter this problem before and how solve you this problem? I don't mind running in a window, but it would be nice to use the full screen. I won't have this forever desktop computer, it's mostly just to ease the transition between offices.

    Thanks in advance.

If you use Windows 7, set the pool field (number of screens, mem) display to the maximum options.

So that change memory to take effect, you will have to completely turn off your VM (reboot won't be enough).

  • Microsoft Office Word 2007 (vista) screen appears black and white

I'm not really a computer person and I don't have any real problems with my laptop lately, up to what has happened. I have a Dell 1525 Insiprion, if this is useful, and I've owned it for 6-8 months now. The document appears white, but the rest is messed up. I can still type and everything it's just incredibly boring. I have installed the latest updates colors appear the same as they always have, and makes me worried to update one of my documents. Do you know what could be wrong with it? If so, how can I solve this problem? Thank you!

    moharden13,
So what's with Office Word 2007 or you notice in any other program or window?
    Run the Office Diagnostics utility
In Word, click the Office logo in the top left, and then click Word Options. In the section resources, run Microsoft Office Diagnostics by clicking on diagnose. Follow the instructions in the wizard.

If you still get the same appearance even after diagnosis, test opening Office in safe mode and post your results:
To open Word in safe mode, press the Windows key + R on your keyboard, the program will open, type the following command and press ok:

I suggest you to connect thecable VGA/SVGA PC to TV

    1. Select the PC on the TV input.

On most computers, there is a F key that allows the external monitor. Generally, you will see an icon on one of the F keys that look like a monitor. Don't forget that you will also need to press the function (FN) key at the same time.

    3 display Windows Configure properties.

    a. right click on the desktop and left click on Customize

    b. left click on display settings

    c. click left on the Advanced button.

    d. you should see a tab on the row of the top for your portable video card.

    left click on it.

    f. you should see a big button that says Launch Control Panel.

    g. click left on big button.

h you should see a window with screens as one of the options.

    i. click on view , then choose display change Configuration.

    j. choose Clone or mirror.

    Hope this information is useful.
