Pavilion 23-P118: missing drivers - HP Pavilion 23-P118
I reinstalled Windows 7 on a HP Pavilion 23-P118. I was able to install most drivers, mainly because of these forums. I still cannot locate the drivers for the side USB 3.0 Ports. As far as I know, the motherboard is an Amber T 2 / I, but I still can't find Windows 7 drivers for these ports to work. The rider I was missing was for the SMBus.
Any help would be appreciated.

Missing drivers on HP Pavilion DV7-6166
I recently bought a used laptop and becaused it was used I advanced and reinstalled windows on it. But now there are several missing drivers on it, I tried to download from the hp Web site but they keep telling me that they have not been installed correctly. I also have them uninstalled from the Device Manager and rebooted the computer, but got the same error message. I downloaded the Hp Support Assistant, but that did not help.
Missing drivers are:
SM Bus controller
(2) USB
Not to mention that the finger print scanner does not work either although I have installed the correct drivers, he is just telling me that there is no scanner attached.
Any ideas?
Windows 7 64 is being run on the laptop.
Hello:
I don't know why HP does not include the driver for chipset for AMD laptops as they do for Intel ones.
Download and install the first file listed in the link below, which will install the missing material.
http://support.AMD.com/us/gpudownload/Windows/pages/raid_windows.aspx#2
Because I do not use security features, I can't help you with why does not the fingerprint reader.
If you have installed the driver fingerprint validity and Pass Simple fingerprint reader software, then?

Aloha
First of all... I'm not grumpy, geek or nerd... And I want to say these words to those who are at best.
In this case, you need to see me as a kid in kindergarten, being taken by the hand and what to do, down on every detail. Sad but true.
Without me know why, I've known several DLL files missing, and often obtained on those error messages.
A pain in the neck, so I re-installed Windows 7 64 bit, because I didn't want to mess with these missing dll.
After this relocation, I couldn't have the internet connection to my router. Fortunately, I have a fixed 10 year and longer, where I eventually found the driver I needed, so it works now.
But now it seems that there are several other drivers missing or not installed.
I got a little info, another post, it must provide information and hope that will be enough. If this isn't the case, then please let me know additional information which may be required, and where I can find those on my PC, so I can provide these.
Missing drivers:
Network controller;
Hardware ID: PCI VEN_8086 & DEV_008B & SUBSYS_53158086 & REV_34
SM Bus controller.
Hardware ID: PCI VEN_8086 & DEV_1C22 & SUBSYS_1659103C & REV_05
(USB) Universal Serial Bus controller.
Hardware ID: PCI\VEN_1033 & DEV_0194 & SUBSYS_1659103C & REV_04
I have 4 USB ports, but only work, others do not react, and I need all four at the same time. In addition, I would like to have everything in order after I had to reinstall Win 7.
Thank you in advance for any help I can get. Just have in mind that I need the things dug into the paper.
Hello:
You need these drivers...
SM Bus controller. Install this first and then restart.
Network controller;
(USB) Universal Serial Bus controller.
You will also need this bluetooth driver.

Hello:
Here is the link for the usb driver, you must... Download, unzip and run the setup.exe file.
Now, as to why you couldn't find the drivers on your laptop support page...
All the drivers, specifications and manuals are missing from pages support again.
They have disappeared since Friday night.
This happened earlier in the week also.
Another Member of the forum has reported the problem to administrators forum, which will be in touch tour HP, but since I am not employed by, nor do I represent HP, I don't know how long it will take to restore the missing data to the support pages.
If all goes well, now that it's Monday, HP is going to move to fixing the real problem soon.

HELP Please: can't find missing drivers on the HP website
My computer is missing 4 drivers (network controller, Ethernet, PCI device and SM bus controller controller), including the first two (I presume?) stop to connect to Internet.
I downloaded what looked like the appropriate drivers for the ethernet controller network off-site Internet HP on another computer and transfer files with a USB key.
Then I opened the files and everything seemed to go well - installation wizard arrives, I accept the user agreement, it seems to start updating - when he suddenly stops and a notification will appear that says "your system does not meet the minimum requirements for this update. Update has been canceled. (9996).
I would like first of all to understand what are the requirements may not be satisfied with my computer, and then how to find exactly the right drivers necessary to connect to the Internet.
I'm running a new (although not the latest version) copy of win7 and have a new hard drive which I assume is at fault for missing drivers. It is a g6 - 1232ea portable Pavilion.
Help, please. See you soon. You are the very welcome.
Yes, you can download on another PC. Just download and copy on a USB or burn it to a DVD.
Here is the link for the driver for the wireless card.

Hello ashwani26596,
Welcome to the HP Forums!I understand that your Pavilion G6 missing some drivers after reinstalling Windows.
Having two drivers for your hard disk (HDD) could be the result of a disk partition. As long as the disk is fully accessible and functional, I see no reason to worry. All the chipset drivers install during the update of one of the devices listed and it is not necessary to update each device listed. As long as you are not having any problem and have no devices in Device Manager that has a yellow! on them, I see no reason for alarm.
If you encounter problems during execution, please specify in a response.
Hope this helps!

How to find out what are the missing drivers?
No, my laptop model is Hp Pavilion dv6 1337tx. One day ago, I installed Windows 7 32 bit OS and also installed all the drivers from the HP site. In Device Manager I see som drivers are missing. Those, what can we and how can I identify the missing drivers and fix this?
I've attached a screenshot of the Device Manager showing that some drivers are missing.
Usually, it's hard drive of SmartProtect or HP 3D protection Guard. I see not available on the web portal of support for your laptop.
Post your results here in your thread.
Best regards
