  I have improved my Illustrator CS5 and my default font changed to a strange font. In Photoshop and InDesign, I was told that all you have to do is to change the font in the menu of character to the police you want to define as the 'default' and it will be the police who you always start with.

  NOTE: This means that, if I use a different font in another document, the police will stay this policy unless I change it back? Is there a way to make a particular font fonts that I still what I start with? All that means this configuration, is the "default" font will always be what was the last font that was used.   Illustrator gives you no option for font type, unless a file is opened. Then, if you change the font and close the file, the next time you launch a file, it will go back what has been initially. There must be a way to change the default font for all of these programs where the police always remains the same unless you change it. Mine is just set up to use a weird font that I would probably never use.

  Just never, I thought it would be that big of a deal to change the default settings for the police.

  I forgot there were two folders too. I'm happy that we got sorted.

  When I try to open or use illustrator 5.5 it says are missing and gives me a list of plugins. I'm on a Mac 0SX, I uninstalled and reinstalled. I tried to locate the Illustrator Prefs file but can't find it and can't able to reset my preferences. Any advice? It was a new Adobe Disc... the rest of the stuff which is indesign photoshop etc installed fine.

  With these clarifications, I definitely suggest you try reinstalling how complete three steps (that would be 6) in your other thread):

  (Check the box to delete the preferences), run the clean uninstall and reinstall.

  CS3 - is Illustrator not able to read a font on my Mac? That's how each field - a blurred font. I have never seen it before. Everything worked fine yesterday and now this.

  You may also have a problem with your system, not only your ones adobe font caches.

  I have several DVD models that I created with Photoshop CS2.  I have Photoshop CS5.  I open these with PS CS5 DVD models.  There has been several cases where the fonts I used in CS2 is not available in CS5.  Is it possible for me to import these fonts PS CS5?  If so, how?

  You run CS5 on the same computer that was used to create the work in CS2?

  If the fonts will always be there.

  You may need to clear font caches.

  Find and delete all instances adobefnt*.lst (that the extension is . LST).

  If you have a new computer just need you to copy them on the former. (C:\WINDOWS\Fonts)

  Open system preferences and go to accessibility. Then select display in the source on the left side list, then check the box transparency reduced.

  I tested with Illustrator CC - 2014 PC with preferences > Type > Language Options > Show CL Options enabled and it seems to work fine. View Adobe Devanagari is assigned by default. (same result with Illustrator CC-2014 on Mac with Yosemite 10.10.3). It also works with Sanskrit 2003, which seems to be the font used in the online sample.

  The Live Paint Bucket tool does not appear in the Toolbox of Illustrator CS5. I looked at other threads which suggest to delete the file "Adobe Illustrator CS5 préférences". I did and it has no effect.   I use Adobe Illustrator CS6, CS5 upgrade on a Win7 machine. I have an old Type 1 hangover (Interstate) where I am replaced with a custom face of open Type of police Office (InterstateRL). I removed the old fonts from my system, in order to eradicate all instances and replace it with open each Illustrator file used by week. When I open the file, I get the expected message "InterstateTab-Regular: fonts not found on the system; missing font has been substituted. "Great, just what I expected! But when I find the replace it with the new police, I can't find it in the file. I did the following:

  • Look in the Normal paragraph Style (or any paragraph style). -missing font, do not use
  • Look in the Normal Character Style (or any style) - lack of fonts do not use
  • Document setup > highlight substituted fonts - none appear
  • Go to finding fonts to find missing fonts - but apparently not finding fonts
  • Go to object > path > cleaning and check empty text paths, and then click ok. Close, and then reopen the document. -does, no change
  • Check that there are no hidden layer - there is no hidden layers or sublayers
  • Check if all the colorless formatted text objects that use the missing font - none
  • Check patterns and symbols, if there is no text inside those. Find police search only what is in the document. -Choose all symbols and deleted (it does not include the text), no change.

  Other ideas for what I could try?

  SOLUTION! This appears to related to the fact that the object in the file was a GRAPH. Increments appeared always empty in the final document, and the corresponding cells in the datasheet were empty. To resolve this problem, I had to enter text in each empty cell in the first column of the datasheet to make it visible under a label the x-axis in the chart. Since it does not matter what was the text, I just used a symbol period in each empty cell. I could select group the x-axis label text at the bottom of the chart, and then apply the character Style in the favorite police and ERASE the substitution (if it was) to the character Style.

  

  

  I then closed and then reopened, and missing fonts message did not appear. I removed the open periods in the map data, saved again, and the message of missing fonts appears to be gone for good.

  It appears that regardless of the police has been assigned to the category of chart label text was always affected, even if the police were not visible in one of the panels or through the find fonts.

  NOTE: The unwanted InterstateTab-Regular police Type1 is NEVER APPEARED anywhere where I could see in Illustrator. However, it was of course incorporated in the chart element itself at the time I created the chart.   Open the preferences and under the Type tab, check Show asian options and Show font names in English .

  After that, it shows extra bold, bold and regular. Hope that helps you and all those in the future.

  Hello, I have problems, find missing fonts in my Indesign CC program. At work, they use an earlier version of Indesign CS5 and of course the fonts are there, but when I work at home, I can't find the fonts anywhere in my CC version.   At work, use file > package... and include the fonts. Take the case of the House package and the fonts should be available in the file without having to install.

  Yes, older versions of the Creative Suite that included Adobe Illustrator included the old, now obsolete versions Type 1 of myriad. However, you can safely replace Myriad Roman by Myriad Pro Regular, Italic Myriad with Myriad Pro Italic in Myriad "BOLD" with Myriad Pro "BOLD" and Myriad Bold Italic with Myriad Pro Bold Italic, which are included in all versions of the Creative Suite and creative cloud applications.
