  When my business has improved my Photoshop CS5 (version 6.0.1) a few years ago, I noticed that some menu items were no longer available. I didn't think too much of it, but I just finished watching a tutorial and they showed one of these options for CS5. The two I can think of to are Image = > Adjust = > Gamma and tone dark / light tones. How can I not, and how to bring them back? I've looked everywhere but can't find it in one of the forums.

  I don't know what you have. I've owned Photoshop since v 5.0.2 (1998) and anything marked CS5 is not version 6, it has the 12 version.

  • You can get rid of Photoshop elements 11, but I think you should keep the other application where you need it.
  • Adobe Bridge is the kind of an organizer.
  • The extension manager is used to install plugins adobe or third, but 4 CS is old enough, the most recent version is CC

  In your case, you must at least Camera Raw 6.2, compatible with CS5.

  Fortunately for you, Adobe has developed the DNG Converter that can convert your RW2 in DNG files that Camera Raw 5.7 (*) will be able to open and process.

  Well, Yes and no. You can use bridge CS4, but you can not update the raw converter, then you will not be able to see the pictures or make conversions from cameras raw files that are not old enough. But the bridge file types associations should automatically update to send pictures on PES 12 for editing.

  However, although I'm not a fan of the Organizer, is, there is something in your message which can be a misunderstanding:

  The Organizer is just a database. It contains no pictures at all and the only time where only he never copy a picture without more precisely said to do is whent you import a picture from iphoto library, and then he does this to avoid writing in the iphoto iphoto library to the outside, which is a very bad thing to do. You should not use the bridge on your iphoto library, either.

  Don't think that you can run the two Bridge CS4 and CS5 at the same time (even with photoshop).  In addition, Bridge CS5 cannot read the cache for Bridge CS4.  We must build its own.

  If you Bridge CS5 to load automatically at startup (default), it runs in the background so that you cannot run CS4.  To disable this feature, it is in the Advanced preferences.

  I used PS CS3 for a couple of years and then bought Photoshop Elements 8 last year because I felt that it was more modern, included Bridge CS4, was incredibly cheap and would also do everything I wanted.

  I went through and applied tags to hundreds of images, with a respective hierarchy as well. As long as bridge remains open and turned on my computer I have access to sort and find files based on keywords.

  'Closing bridge': and all the keywords are missing from the keyword pane, with the exception of a few who are present with bridge as examples that are always there.

  I can re - select all images and keywords will load again in the keyword pane, but that takes time to manage.

  It's like some preferences file does not play, or key words are not saved in the keywords pane. I loaded this app from Photoshop CS4 again.

  One person suggested I go to preferences and UN-click 'Keywords read hierarchy' then open all my image files and even once, click on the pictures to reload the keywords in the keyword pane again. Then return to the preferences and re - click Read hierarchy of the keywords again, and everything to be in order. I did twice, once with starting point before clicking the RHK button again.

  Yet after two years of Bridge CS4, I can't use this function to search for images.

  And Yes, I select a folder or installation disk for bridge to look for key words.

  After all this time, someone to solve the riddle of trying to make this work. I can't update my Mac. I have a PowerPC, Quick Silver, 2002 G4 1000 double. 10.4.11 is the latest operating system, I believe that I can use.

  Are you italicized keywords?  If so, they are temporary and will go away when the bridge is closed.  They will repopulate when the image is open.

  If this is the case right click on the keyword and choose 'make persistent '.

  I just bought a Canon 60 d, where .cr2 raw files. They open in Bridge, which has already opened my Canon 10 D raw files .crw. What should I do to make the .cr2 files?

  Your CR2 files the 60 d are not supported for your version of ACR.

  Each provider uses different kind of Raw and sadly enough they also use another type of crude oil for every new camera produces. Adobe offers a free upgrade for the cameras, about 3 or 4 times a year. In the past, that they could not get new types of Raw earlier while consumers so often that meant you had to wait a long time before the ability to ACR was there. Today, they have a better relationship and often get pre model of production for the updates are already there when new cameras are entering the market.

  However being a commercial company, they don't offer upgrades for others then the latest versions of Photoshop and ACR. Currently, CS6 and CC are both get updates but the previous version don't are not updated any longer.

  Another option is available, and it is the free Adobe DNG converter. The latest version is here:

  Or if the link does not do a search on Adobe.com. After the files have been converted to DNG, you will be able to use them in your version of ACR.

• Adobe Bridge CS4 window will not appear MAC

  I was using Bridge CS4 on a MAC OS x 10.6.8 yesterday and everything was fine. Today when I went to use the bridge, there wasn't any open window. Bridge started upward and seems normal. However, there is no window. When I select 'new window' nothing happens. I uninstalled manually and reinstall all of the Photoshop software from the beginning. I went to open the bridge, and the same thing happened. How can I get a new window in the bridge to operate?

• Bridge CS4 image previews are too small

  In Bridge CS4, can't do the preview images to show something larger than a large thumbnail view, see the image below.  I tried all the preferences in the Edit menu (miniatures for example: do not treat more game to 10 000 MB files, cache options are keep 100% previews in cache export checked/automatically cache files when the size slider possible checked / cache is set to 50%, rendering software saw size of monitor checked/unchecked/generate checked).  None of these options change anything for the size of the preview image.  I have a XOC DX10.1 ATI Radeon HD4890 1 GB, so my video card is not the issue.  I am running Windows 7 Ult x 64 on ASUS P8P67 Deluxe with 16 GB of RAM and over 2 TB of HARD drive space.   Also, these images are showing everything in the image of the AI, not individual images in each file.  How to show individual images in each file HAVE as if they were separate pictures, like Illustrator?

  

  I don't know anything about the .ai or Illustrator files.  But I think would be it has something to do with how IIlustarator saves the file.  Look to see if there are other options.  As can a test you convert the .ai to another form and see the evolution of the size of the thumbnails?

  Pre Menus are in the games Menu. Each set is a main Menu and a Menu selection of scenes. As before the semi-automatic creation, there are many 'extras' in the Photoshop PSD, in button layer sets. All you have to do is to make a copy of your two Menus in a separate folder, so that you don't worry everything ruin your Menu sets in pre. I could do this in a new subfolder in the library folder hierarchy yet. Then, each of these two Menus open in PS. Go and clean up all the other languages for the text and the text of the button. Correspond to the names of Layer button Set/Layer Set such naming conventions in the library of the Menus again, because you won't get any semi automation. Where you do not, say a next button, just to eliminate layers of this button. Don't forget, before it will be semi-automatiquement, will give you the number of scene selection Menus, that your project includes - will not be still. You must count the scenes, divide by the number of buttons on this scene selection Menu and make copies of this Menu, to account for what you need.

• Bridge CS4 overview of NEF files is not updated

  Somewhere along the line, he stopped working for me. I can click on a thumbnail in Bridge CS4 to edit the file in Camera Raw. After mounting, the thumbnail in Bridge has this little icon with two triangles at the top right indicates that the file has been changed. However, the tile will not refresh to display the edited version. He always looks as if not edited. How can I fix it?   If you have active quick thumbnails it will show no changes.  Need to have one of the HQ options enabled.

• Bridge CS4 - lost all associations of files - on 2 computers

  I run Photoshop CS4 on my desktop and laptop, Windows XP Pro.

  I've lost all my associations with bridge CS4 file.  If I clicked on a .jpg MS paint would start up.  It allows to work before no problem.  If I reset, it does nothing.  What is happening on both of my machines.

  I manually chose PS CS4 but sometimes MS Paint happens again and if I click on the restore default settings, nothing happens.

  Any ideas how to solve this problem?

  For those who do not open as you wish you could re-read the post #1 and change the default settings in Windows Explorer for these programs.
