Web service SOAP of the access of LabView?

I like to connect to a service-based SOAP from my code Labview (PC), or at least to understand if it is possible and how it will be.

Just googling "Labview SOAP" gives a few hits, so it seems that people do, but I've found any way white paper or examples yet.

Can someone ligh to the top of my darkness on SOAP web services and Labview?

I also understand that web services is often described in wsdl (web service description language) files. A wsdl file completely describes a feature of web services, and in some languages, you can import such a file and say "give me the skeleton code to access this web service. Can do something like this in Labview?

OLA (Just installed LV2015)

Thank you Sam!

It was the last piece that I needed! Now it works!

I got the url, headers and body of the SoapUI test case as in my previous post. See the photos and the attachment.

That means this vi:

She calls the web service GuestManagementService on my local server (see url)

It performs the getGuestDetails of action SOAP (see header)

The guestName is Ola4 (see the body)

In the body of the result, you can find (with difficulty)

address = the nest, Norrland

age = 467

name = Ola4

Totally cool! But a lot of work for a simple database search.

Thanks for all the help.

My next step is to understand what labview tools exist to help me create and manipulate xml files, but that's for next week.

Yes, you can use FDF/XFDF to send data to the server and report information in the document. Take a look at the Doc.submitForm () method using the FDF/XFDF parameter: DC-Acrobat SDK Documentation - Doc.submitForm () you'll need fields for send/receive form data, but these can be hidden.

  • Programmatically control a Web Service (SOAP/REST) data control

    Hello

I'm relatively new to JDeveloper and I need help. Asked me to create a JAX - WS, who will be used in an Oracle DB procedures. It works very well. The problem is that the JAX - WS needs to communicate with a web 3rd party service that is rpc/encoded so I am not able to use the Proxy Client of Service Web JDeveloper, as it will not accept this type of web service.

I would like to know if I could use the JDeveloper to create a Web Service (SOAP/REST) data control that points to 3rd party encoding/rpc, how could I call this my JAX - WS DataControl to execute the methods available in the DataControl programmatically?

Or is there another solution that would allow the JAX - WS to use the RPC/Encoded Web Service?

  • How to limit the appeal of Web service method when the page loads?

    Hello

I have an a choice selection list that is populated using a web service method. There are several different lists on the page. When a page loads, all of these methods of service web (methods are inside the POJO class) are executed.

I would like to limit the call to the web service methods. The call occurs even if the component is not rendered. Basically, all methods in the page links are executed during the loading of the page. Is there a way to limit this behavior?

More time is consumed during the loading of the page. Can someone help me on this?

  • HOW URL WSDL Web Service: Web Service call in the workflow

have a 1 step, Web service workflow: call the Web Service.  I wish I could pass a string parameter to the url of the endpoint for the parameter of the URL of the WSDL in the Web service settings dialog box as oppose to the transmission of the actual url (http://machine/some_service.svc?wsdl).

The reason is that we are moving the workflow between environments DEV, TEST, etc., we do not want to reopen the workflow in each env and update the DEV, TEST endpoint.

I tried the following without success

    1. create a parameter of type String devURL

2 by default, set the value on http://machine/some_service.svc?wsdl

3 Goto service web appeal stage and set the URL of the WSDL to the /process_data/@devURL

    I get the error:

Is this possible?  OR if not, how can this be achieved?

Under the Service Web Options change 'The Option' use 'variable' instead of 'literal '. Then click the Green + and it will create a variable of type WebServiceSettingBean.

You can use a setValue before the stage of web service to set this variable.

  • Web Service data control the result as a basis for workflow router

    Hello

    I'm under JDEVADF_11.1.2.3.0_GENERIC_120914.0223.6276.1 build

I want to use the result of a check of SOAP Web Service data as input for a router on a workflow; lines will only ever return 0-1 control of data.

Is it possible declaratively on the workflow diagram by simply using a SOAP data control, or should I access the data control through a managed bean, or go on the road of web service proxy?

I'm new to ADF some detailed guidance would be appreciated.

    Thank you very much.

    Hello

routers can have their own binding ADF file, so yes its possible. Select the router and then use the right button of the mouse to go to the pageDef file. As it does not exist it will be created. Then add a method binding point to the method on the WS to invoke domain controller. In the router, you should be able to use #{bindings.methodName.execute} as the EL. If the method returns a value, then it went to the assessment.

However, if you need to look at an iterator (returned collection) then you are binding the attributeValue to one of the attriibutes in the collection. This should also configure the WS iterator and the required method binding

  • Web Service SOAP returned XML data are unreadable

    Hello

I hope someone with some experience of SOAP could help me find a solution for which XML data coming out of a Web Service (SAP production) are illegible.

In the attached file is the Web Service response, and as you can see in the header of the request is OK. (request to pass a serialized PCB of a 'tail' to 'work'). Request is successful (I manually check by directly connecting the SAP web service and check), but also the data on the printed circuit should be returned (edge stock code, etc...).

My request and response with the XML data returned works very well in SoapUI.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Darin.K wrote:

I agree with Phillip (except that you want to "inflate" the payload).  You can simply post a VI with full response defined as default in a string control/indicator and I am betting we could get it sorted.

Thanks Darin, I think acompress and after reading an article google re: SAP NetWeaver, who used the terms inflate and deflate, I confused my prefixes. I also regularly exchange numbers when transcribing the long numbers. Dyslexic, I am.

JonnyR - please use the uncompress function I've included on the same link as soon as possible. You will need to remove the header HTML of the string portion. If you do not, unzip it will interpret the header as compressed data and you will get jumbled as output data.

  • LaserJet M276nw MFP Color impossible to connect to Web Services, tried all the suggestions on the forum

I tried all the possible suggestions on the forum. I opened all the ports suggested by HP support on my Belkin of N600 router. DMZ has changed IP address on the printer. We even directly wired ethernet for printer, still cannot connect to Web Services. Now I have to wait until April 4 a technician to remind me. Everything else works fine. I can print wireless from my laptop & smartphone. Just can not access Web Services, oh & firmware is up-to-date on printer & router. We changed the DNS settings for 8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4.

Success! I had Verizon send me a new Modem/Router. The original was 10 years. Install a new one, did a "Restore Defaults" on the printer. Re-setup the wireless network wizard. Click Web Services & connected. Received my code from the printer. So, since I have a few towns away I figure I would try eprint. It worked... Woot woot!

There is no difference between calling a web service to write data, against the appellant for reading data. SOAP is SOAP. He cares not.

Example to interact with a web service is in Re: PLSQL webservice call

Regarding your error - stack display Tower full of error to see what said the trace of the error. The data you've posted unfortunately no sense to isolate the error.

You can also create Web services and page two processes using Web services. The process would go according to conditionally to the fact where your application is running - development or production. You just need some kind of a flag to tell you where you are

  • InDesign server web service - where is the support to download a file with the script and download the result?

    Hello

I'm working on a VINE which is supposed to convert indd files in pdf format (that is, using of course the indesign server). Basically, I want to call the Web Service of IDS (located on another machine, perhaps), spend in the input file, the conversion script and retrieve the result under the WebService call?

Navigation on the documentation, examples, etc. in the SDK, I couldn't see how the above can be achieved unless the client manages the transfer of files. Surely I must be missing something...

    Thank you

    Chris

What do you mean by POC?

InDesign Server is too valuable (i.e. cost of the license) to waste his time with file transfers.

For a smaller scale, letting a separate process (http or smb server) on the same server hardware files - InDesign Server providing access on the local volume faster.

If you are planning for bigger, use a dedicated server for file sharing (at the choice of the SMB, NFS, or other), when the input files are prepared by the process of the client, so that your load balancing program can immediately point the next free instance of the InDesign Server farm to the file. In this case, be prepared for some trial and error - high-speed file sharing can be tricky with files written on one side not yet visible or incomplete on the other side, locking problems, filename Unicode trouble, unexpected time and so on.

BTW, there is also a forum of InDesign Server which would be more suitable for these discussions.
