Missing network connection profile

For my home network, network profile under 'Manage wireless networks' is no longer in effect. And I can't connect to my home wireless network. I can connect to other wireless networks, as in an Internet café or a similar place. He always seems to have the information network somewhere, I can't find it.

A few ideas:

  • Make sure that your wireless router is enabled and functional.
  • If your computer has a switch to turn the wireless on the case, be sure that it is turned on.
  • Make sure that the wireless network connection is enabled.
  • In "Manage wireless networks", click 'Add' and create a new profile.

  • Something missing in network connections

Hello!  Hope one of you can help me with a problem, I am experiancing.  I've implemented the following:

    HP Pavilion DV7-3111e

    Windows 7 64 bit

    Product WC159EA

In the course of the last few days, I have experianced loss of internet connection and this morning that it has decreased after use of a few minutes.  The icon in my toolbar now shows something completely different to the usual wireless meter strengh (a square box with what looks like a plug to the left of it and a red X).  I looked around the various places on my PC for an answer, and the best I can find is in the tab network connections in Control Panel.  I can see in there the following:

    BluetoothConnection

Wireless Broadcom 43225 802.b/g/n (disabled) network connection

I don't know it is supposed to be another symbol in network connections, a 3rd device.  I also clicked on the Broadcom device and computer enabled, but it remains disabled.

I tried Windows help, downloaded and reinstalled the drivers and used the system restore, but none have so far permit.

I hope someone can find something wrong with the above.  As I said, I'm sure I'm missing something in my network connections, a 3rd device (?) box.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

    Best regards

    Hi Erico,

I don't really know what to say.  I was searching around the internet for solutions more this afternoon (someone has to start a unique knowledge base with CORRECT solutions, so many Web sites with so many "solutions" for the same problem, ha!) and I noticed a comment about Zonealarm and its effect on wireless adapters after that that they have been brought so I've completely remove Zonealarm, rebooted, and guess what?  A new icon has appeared in network connections, "Microsoft Virtual Wifi Miniport Adapter", plus two children happy now and an adapter wireless who has reappeared and work!   I don't really know what to say apart from thank you for your time and effort Sir.

    Best regards from the Ireland!

  • How can I change the network to a WiFi connection profile in Windows 8?

When I connect to a wireless connection, it automatically assigns me for the Public Profile. But, I know to trust the network and want to select it as private, so that I can use the share.

In previous versions of Windows, it was easy to change the WiFi profile. For example, in Windows 7, I would go to the network share and click on the name of the profile, and it would allow me to change it. Now, in Windows 8, the profile name is static text and is no longer provides a link that allows me to edit the profile.

I tried to remove the profile and add it back, using the context menu on the WiFi network and "forget this network". But he never asks on the profile or sharing when I add the network.

    Try this:

    -Show the charms

    -Select settings

    -Select the network icon

-Right click (using a mouse), or press and hold (with your finger) on the name of the network connection, that you care

-A menu will appear to allow you to control the sharing, so to go from a private and public profile.

  • Problems with wireless USB adapter. Icon missing "Wireless network connection".

I recently got a laptop HD malfunction cause me to start my PC from 2004. I bought a Belkin N150 Wireless USB adapter to connect to the internet connectivity. During the installation, I do not get a "Wireless network connection" icon I am running Windows XP SP3. I installed the same USB adapter on a computer running Windows XP SP2 and it works fine. I plugged it in my desktop PC and it just doesn't work! Even with my router disconnected I should still be able to see other networks WiFi available in the range (I live in a community of apartment) as he worked on the other computer it elsewhere too. I double checked the drivers, reboot the cable modem, so that appropriate services were activated and still no dice. I have read forums and I'm almost at the point of paying MS for technical support services, but it's really just my last step before I shell out money for professional help. Notice to lovers? =)

    Hello

Well, at this point, you should make an executive decision.

If you think that someone will take just guilt because it's comfortable, it is not going to happen.

If a new card that is known to work does not work, then you can try to re - install Windows.

One of the differences between computer enthusiasts and regular users is the availability of the material. I have a set of wireless router, network cards, etc. that are known to be good.

The components are used for the sole purpose of trying them temporarily on the troubled computers to rule out hardware problems.

  • local network connection missing, how to recover?

When I open Network Center and sharing, connection to the local network is not here

    Hi Maeleatha

    1. is the computer connected to a network server or a domain?
    2. have you verified that the network card works correctly?

You can follow the steps below to reinstall the network driver in the Device Manager and check-
You can check if you have any exclamation point beside the devices listed. If you have, then there is problem with the card is installed.

    a. click Startand then click Control Panel.
    b. click system and Maintenance, click Systemand then click on Device Manager.

    Note
if control panel is in Classic view, double-click Systemand then click on Device Manager.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click allow.
    c. in the NIC, expand adapter, right click on the devices listed and then click Uninstall.
    d. When you are prompted to confirm that you want to remove the device, click on OK.
    e. restart the computer.

After the computer restarts, the drivers will be installed automatically. Check after this procedure if you are able to get access to the network.

If you get all the drivers related errors, you can check if you have the latest drivers updated, installed for the network card. See the help link - below
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/update-a-driver-for-hardware-that-isn ' t-work correctly

Also see the below link for more assistance on the issue and the check-

I lost my network connection and I don't know where to go to fix it. If anyone has an idea where ho to continue, I have tried so many stage already that I am at a loss... Help

My computer semi regularly acted by the loss of my internet on a whim. Basically, it can detect WIFI, no problem, shows the strongest signal for her also. just tells me that it cannot connect to WIFI when I try (even if he can ask me the password and can tell if I use one bad)

    I can't reprocude the question

No significant changes to my computer because the issues started happening.

    Simple steps:

-Recovery (before the first event) system does not alter

-Router and modem are not the issue

-Could you find not updated driver anywhere (even though this does not mean that they do not exist, but having only no internet with the pc makes it particularly tricky - also HP does not provide the )

    -Power management wasn't the question

-J' tried forget network the many times this problem has occurred. He has not fixed it.

    Additional troubleshooting showed:

-Reset the Winsock Catalog did not resolve the question more than once (emplying he did the first time I did).

-Reset of TCP/IP, that does not solve the issue more far.

My WIRELESS card is a Broadcom 802.11n

Finally, the only thing that I can see (although I can easily miss something obvious) is my reinstallation of an old printer inkjet EPSON Workforce 545, which I am connected to my WIFI and my PC via USB (why I used wifi since I got cable?...) I do not know) a few days later, people who use the same network reported the act more as usual but I have not noticed anything on my end.

-J' have been disconnected from the network to the printer and stopped using it.

-J' found evidence of his feature wirless allgedly interfere with other devices here (search for entitled Review "bought two units for corn or work")

    http://www.CNET.com/products/Epson-workforce-545/user-reviews/

    Edit 12/04/2016

I ended up having to do a factory reset on my computer for unrelated reasons. To reconnect the original WLAN card, I don't have to use the USB adapter that I bought to solve my problem.

Factory reset works if fails everything else! Solution without after all!
