  Hello, in case the plugin disappeared after you have updated firefox to version 21 please try this: enter Subject: config in the bar firefox address (confirm the message information where it appears) & search for the preference named plugins.load_appdir_plugins. Double-click it and change its value to true (a restart of the browser may be needed later for the change to take effect).

  you need to download the latest version of QuickTime Player for Windows from Apple http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/
  If you have problems you can try to remove the existing installation and install again.

  Indesign plugins are not compatible across a different version, which means that a plugin built with an SDK for a particular version of Indesign does not load on another (major version change) version of Indesign.

  Please check from the SDK to know which version is that he intended to be used for and then try on this version of Indesign.

  You can't do anything on this subject. It is something that only comes with Cinema 4 d Studio and broadcast. It is not available in Cineware / Lite C4D.

  I just meet failure on opeing 5.5 indesign indd file. As I bought a new mac and restore the Adobe CS5 design preiume. But I can't open the indesign file even I have the update to version 5.7. A pop up says there is a missing plugin, sharedcontent.indesignplugin. And a few more missing plugins reported subsequently. I have been using koaren version before because I need Chinese typography grid system. Is she related to the problem recently I else to download version koearn back. I found that there are bad supported from Adobe while people need to restore the old product on new imac with no CD rom...

  

  ID files are not backward compatible. ID5.5 can only open a 5.5. CS5 cannot.

  In the programming guide, it says "If your plug-in does not store data in the documents, it is useless to take extra precautions" in the section "guidelines for the handling of a plug-in missing."

  But now, it can miss plugin message for this plug-in when it is open a document saved with this plug-in installed.

  My question is: is there a way to detect what class and implement caused the plug-in is necessary?

  I can get some info about plugin missing from IContentMgr, but there is no info on classes in detail.

  You have found, IContentMgr is the plugins. Use IObjectModel to get/query ITagRegistry for details.

  BTW, something often missed is that the overall text decorations are persistent, through their class ID.

  Is it possible to open a file that has a missing plugin?

  Unless the plugin is really necessary for the file opens correctly, exporting to .inx and recording as one new .indd should remove the plugin information.

  GP (GetPlus) is the Adobe Download Manager.  Download the installer of Flash Player directly from http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe (for Firefox) and you won't need any DLM.

  -In installation of InDesign, there are a few own developed plugins installed.

  -J' I create and save an InDesign document with this installataion of InDesign.

  -After that I open this InDesign plugin in another InDesign installation WITHOUT any of this plugin.

  -If I open this document, there are some missing messages of plugins.

  -J 'I havn' t do any thing with this plugins in my document, there are installed.

  Can I do something about it?

  There will be a missing plugin warning if the plugin writes all data

  the file which is not reported as not requiring the plugin installed.

  Generally, there is data written by the presence of the plugin

  being installed. If the plugin correctly mark all data as unimportant.

  It does not necessarily mean that they are not on your machine, but it doesn't mean that they aren't where C4D think they are.

  R16, MAXON introduced some great features to their system of texture. In the Manager menu material go to Texture > Texture Manager. It will show a list of all of the textures used in your scene and you notes by those that C4D has lost the link. If you happen to know where these files are located (UV matte Texture.tif and smoked Hickory.png), you can point the C4D to them and he's going to fix things. VRay plugin stuff I am not familiar with as we are currently using VRay where I work.

  When I try to open or use illustrator 5.5 it says are missing and gives me a list of plugins. I'm on a Mac 0SX, I uninstalled and reinstalled. I tried to locate the Illustrator Prefs file but can't find it and can't able to reset my preferences. Any advice? It was a new Adobe Disc... the rest of the stuff which is indesign photoshop etc installed fine.

  With these clarifications, I definitely suggest you try reinstalling how complete three steps (that would be 6) in your other thread):

  (Check the box to delete the preferences), run the clean uninstall and reinstall.
