I try to use the software provided with an external hard drive and cannot launch the it, I get an error launch. The external drive is an external drive 500 GB Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex Pro comes pre-loaded with Memeo instant backup and the Seagate dashboard. I could connect the HDD and install programs, but when I try to open them I get «dashboard of Memeo Launcher has stopped working...» Windows is checking for a solution to the problem... "and then nothing. I contacted Toshiba (the laptop manufacturer), Seagate and now I want to know if anyone here can help you. I use a new laptop with a hard drive inside (where the reason for buying the external hard drive, my last hard drive became corrupt and had to be replaced, rather worry not lose everything if she goes again) and I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit, and it is compatible with the software on the external hard drive. SFC scan can be run within the operating system or on the WinRE (Windows recovery environment). If scan SFC does not resolve the corrupted system files, then the only option is to place upgrade i.e. repair using Vista DVD installation.
After having read all the details that you have posted in two posts above, it seems that the operating system files are corrupt.
SFC scan details are stored in the following location: %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log > sfcdetails.txt
The Sfcdetails.txt file contains details of every time that the System File Checker tool has been run on the computer.
To make leveling up, follow these steps.
1. close all applications and restart the computer.
2. Insert the Windows Vista DVD in the DVD drive of the computer.
3. in the settings window, click install now.
Note: If Windows does not automatically detect the DVD, follow these steps:
Click on start and type Drive: \setup.exe in the box to start the search.
Note: The placeholder drive is the drive letter of the computer's DVD.
4. in the list programs, click Setup.exe.
5. in the settings window, click install now.
6. click on connect to get the latest updates for installation (recommended).
7. type the CD key if you are prompted to do so.
8. click Yes to accept the Microsoft software license agreement.
9. on which type of installation do you want? screen, click upgrade.
10. when the installation is complete, restart your computer and try again to install updates.Note: Run a repair installation will not damage files and applications that are currently installed on your computer.
Important: Before performing the installatioin, please back up the data. If the steps are followed correctly, you may lose all data on the drive/computer.

Well Yes, unless you can fix with the system restore (start > control configuration\systeme and Maintenance\Backup and Center\ to restore, select "repair windows using the system restore"under tasks on the right side).

Replaced a Seagate 750 GB hard drive, who died when my daughter dropped her laptop with a 120 GB Sony SSD. Ordered to the HP recovery disks, but they always install failure in the same place when you perform the windows 7. The laptop is a dv6t - 6 c 00. The error message is the following:

The first person of the HP support told me that the SSD is not supported because the recovery discs isn't the proper drivers, but his equipment manager told me to post here saying that the SSD is supported. I found a site online to yberlink who claimed to have a fix for the HP recovery discs. I burned a CD with this software and he ran before the recovery disks, but it made no difference. Does anyone know how to fix or work around this problem?
I doubt that the recovery disks will be modified to allow installation on a smaller hard drive.

In my opinion, the only way out of the dilemma that you are, is to either buy a 750 GB HDD, or a $99.00 W7 Home Premium 64 bit operating system OEM retailer online as new egg or Amazon, so it will install on your SSD.

Just in case it was a deadlock linked to memory, I tried to use the Diagnostics memory Microsoft on floppy, but it would not write on the disk (even if I could format and copy the files freely).

Go to your configuration and see which drive is for each port; 1,2,3,4...
Then go to the Device Manager and look at how many SATA controller you have and how many ports for each, then start count from 0 to IdePort0, 1, 2, etc. for each SATA controller, so if you have 4 ports for each SATA controller, here is how you came from:
IdePort0 1 -, 2 - IdePort1, 3 car - IdePort2 and road 4 - IdePort3 in the order of road by car

My computer (W7/64) sometimes fall to restart. I checked HD and the memory of Mrs. rescue disk - no error.
Event Viewer says ATAPI: the driver has detected an error in the controller on \Device\Ide\IdePort1.
The fact is that the cd-rom drive is behaving oddly. Reads the DVD of film without problem, but does not read floppy disks to install Windows (good on an another two comps).
I therefore launched Verifier.exe and checked the other drivers. The result is dumpATA.sys is not running. (Is BTW not MS driver?).
How can I force to load this driver?I checked the installation disc to compare the original version, boot.win opened, but the pilot is nowhere. Where did it come from?
So I recorded the dump file, but the analysis of what this file is beyond my capabilities.

You say that you are having problems with the optical drive. If you log out, you still have problems to restart or boot?
This probably isn't a memory problem, but a better method of verification, it is with Memtest86 + http://www.memtest.org/#downiso>
Download the ISO and then create a CD with it and boot from it. If you have more than one piece of RAM, pull all but one test, then close, replace it with another and test, etc. I find it a little faster than the test at a time.SC Tom

One last thing, you mentioned this announcement on the beta site which tells me that you had a pre - GA on areas/App version installed. If that were the case, or maybe a previous installation of App/areas (Beta) had an installation/uninstallation failed, then do this procedure to clean the host of all the previous components.
1. remove the vmservice-vswitch created during installation (assuming that there is no other device that uses this vswitch)
2 remove the address 169.x.x.x, given the Net.DVFilterBindIpAddress of the host property.
Detailed procedure:
1. go through the uninstall process each time as
possible (if one of the components to show as it is installed). Then go to the
next steps.
2. search for the vmservice-vswitch and delete
it. it is a vSwitch without physical adapters service that was created
during the installation. It will have 2 groups of ports, one called
vmservice-vmknic-pg and the other vmservice vsheild pg.
3. Select the ESX host on the left hand side
tree on the right hand click the Configuration tab pane and click
Advanced settings of the software. In the Advaced search page settings
the Net section, then select it. Scroll through all the
way down and then make your way up until you find
Net.DVFilterBindIpAddress = 169.254.1.1. Remove the 169.254.1.1 and
Click OK.
4. installation of APP vShield vShield Zones should now work.

I have a month old HP Officejet 8500 Pro, which suddenly give a paperjam error message. There is no paper jam. I spoke with HP Technical Support making long resets even blow the bowels to air without result. It must be a simple mistake. I saw it reported on other boards, but it seems that everyone is simply trading on their printers. Not an option, like HP, in their infinite wisdom will not replace a defective unit overseas.
I thought that there is a paper feed guide that hung above the paper tray. It's hangin' is low... but maybe I was mistaken. If I tilt the printer back it will feed and eject a page, but not print.
If someone at HP would be so likely to enlighten me I would willingly do what is necessary to take part, or whatever...

In my experience of software migration from one machine to another rarely works.
Use the tools CS cleaner to wipe all trace of DW in your system before reinstalling.
Use the CC cleaning tool to resolve installation problems. CC, CS3 - CS6
Disabling an old product is necessary if you previously had it installed on 2 machines. If you did, you need to contact Adobe customer service to disable your old facilities so you can activate the last being.
