  I managed to find a solution on another thread. Disconnect the phone from the PC, remove the SD card, turn off the phone and remove the SD card. My windiws has a rateing of 3.4 access experience.  For the mini Galaxy S4, I downloaded Kies\3 and original Kies both refuse to go beyond the connection at your stage deviece of the program before left im watching a dog spinning graphic and nothing happens and im left the peripheral USB MTP dryer failefk message to install.  I get the same message for my LG G3 too and ive no special software for this deviece istalled.  If someone has a way to work around this problem, I would be forever in dept here otherwise I will be cursed to tear my phone to transfer all the data on my hard drive laptop forever through a box of chip transfer of data via the USB port.   I had the same problem. Tried to install it several times and it has always failed. Then one day it suddenly installed successfully. I think that settles the only difference between failure and success was that I had my phone connected to my PC during the successful installation. Try to connect your phone to the PC and run the update.

  The user manual is there as well who could help him.

  TROUBLESHOOTING #1:

  Installation of Vista, an update of XP? If so, complete the WORKAROUNG STEP in this document.

  Check to see if there are any ghosts/ghost devices:

  1. click on start, point to programs, point to Accessories and then click command prompt.

  2. at a command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER:

  Set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices = 1

  3. type the following command a command prompt and press ENTER:

  Start devmgmt.msc

  4 solve the devices and drivers in Device Manager.

  NOTE: Click on view the hidden devices on the view menu in Device Manager before you can see devices that are not connected to the computer. When you are finished troubleshooting close Device Manager.

  5 type exit at the command prompt.

  6. connect the MP3 to see if this solves the problem.

  TROUBLESHOOTING #2:

  What is the brand and model of your computer?  Make sure you have the most recent BIOS? Driver Chipset offered by the manufacturer.

  I just got a new phone and I am trying to restore from a backup of my old. The problem is that my iPhone is not showing in iTunes. It appears in the 'My Computer' section as a device.
