Mobile version instead of desktop

Hello

I worked on a Muse page for awhile, I also started with the computer design office and published on businesscatalyst. Suddenly, this afternoon, the mobile version appears on the desktop instead of the desktop version browser when I test it. When I delete the mobile version (and save a copy before), the desktop version works, but as soon as I announce a mobile version, desktop browsers lead to the home page of the mobile version again. This problem is weird, because he showed so suddenly during my work in progress. I tested it on Safari and Chrome. Anyone has an idea where or if I can define, that the desktop version should show up on top of the desktop browser? This really should work automatically, shouldn't it?

I have read some threads about similar problems, but could not solve my problem so far. I can't find a reason why the mobile version "dominates" the desktop version...

Thanks for the replies

Charlotte

Clear the cookies in your browser or follow a hyperlink to a phone page of your Web site to a page of office.

I think that what you feel is the behaviour normal and correct "lock". If/when you follow a hyperlink to an office page to a page of phone (for example) a cookie is activated in your browser that records the fact that you want to display pages of phone. From this moment your site URLS will redirect to the layouts of phone. If you follow a hyperlink to a page on your mobile site refers to the page of your site Office locking the device is deleted and you will be back to the display of pages office. The locking of the device is stored in a cookie, so clear cookies also revisit the Office of loading pages.

This behavior is generally used for the links "Go to the Site of phone" and "Go to the Site of Desktop" in the header or the footer of the pages of your site. It's a side effect to have hyperlinks that go through the types of layout.

You can place a "new Star" widget, delete all except one's triggers, resize the trigger and call it "Directions." Then configure the widget to open the target at the click on. Finally place the Google maps widget in the target of the new widget recommended.

  • SVG image does not appear in the mobile version, but does in the desktop version

    Hello

I am new to the use of Muse and have created one before site in Muse. I took screenshots to show the problem I'm having.

I used Illustrator to create the image of the logo depending on whether I have save to SVG file:

    Screen Shot 2015-04-18 at 15.01.04.png

As you have probably guessed, I used a clipping mask to insert the purple Mason image in forms and text (this may be relevant to the problem, I don't know).

I then save out as a SVG with the following details as advised by Adobe:

    Screen Shot 2015-04-18 at 15.01.34.png

Before moving into Muse, I File > place the SVG file. "Unable to generate thumbnail" comes in both desktop and phone:

    Screen Shot 2015-04-18 at 15.03.26.png

Anyway, I uploaded to FTP message on my site. While SVG is perfectly displayed on my desktop browser, it not only shows any on my phone's browser:

    Screen Shot 2015-04-18 at 15.13.18.png

This is not only happening on my phone, I visited the same Web site on several phone devices and the SVG image still does not appear. Ideas why this happens?

Have I totally missed something on file formats for versions of mobile browser in Muse?

Also - in illustrator, I saved the SVG logo for the mobile version as a SVG as SMALL as that I saved to the desktop version.

    Thank you

Use a PNG file. I see nothing in your logo that would justify using nothing else. You're not scaling it, there is no interaction and everything that you do is hide some pixel data already. Forgive me, but using a SVG makes no sense at all. In addition one would need to see the file, but my guess would be that once more 'reactive' setting incorporates incorrect data. Wouldn't be the first time...

  • Export only the desktop version of the site, mobile version not

Can I export just the desktop version of my site and not the mobile version with it? I am busy working on my still of mobile site, but the work is done on the office site which must go live every day.

    Hello

You need to do 2 things for it.

    1. click on 'office redirection' of site properties to remove the exported files of redirection codes.

Do please go to file > Site Properties > provision > phone > uncheck "Desktop Redirection"

    2. after the export of the site in HTML format, delete the folder named like 'Phone'that contains all your phone configuration files. Rest of the files are for desktop PC.

To be more clear. When you follow a link on one of your pages (not only type a link in the browser or as a result of an external link) who switches specifically the type of site by jumping from a phone page to a page, your browser (on your phone) office will then locked in desktop mode until you follow a link on your pages of office to a phone page. This is normally done by a link to go to the Office Site on your phone pages and a Site link go to phone on your desktop pages.

  • Is it possible to use 'mobile' in the URL instead of "phone" on the mobile version of the site?

What I mean is if you do a google search on your mobile phone the given URL is:

    whateverurl.com/Phone/pagename

    Can it be replaced by:

    whateverurl.com/mobile/pagename

Muse creates a directory named 'phone' when it exports the mobile version of a site.

I don't know that he would screw things if I just change the name of the directory of 'mobile '.

Thanks in advance for any help.

This would involve changes for each url used in the provision of telephone, full customization.

I suggest you to contact the developer experienced this in case you are not comfortable with script etc.

  • How can I stop firefox to display mobile content on my desktop

I was wondering if someone could help me with this problem. Firefox displays mobile content on my desktop (like going to the Yahoo Sports page) instead of desktop content on my desktop. I tried to clear cookies and c hurt, and that did not solve my problem. Thanks in advance!

You may need to manually reset a parameter as described in this article: sites say that Firefox is obsolete or incompatible, even if it's the latest version. Could you try and test again?

It works fine in all other browsers like Safari. I have cleared my cache and I tried opening the Web site on another computer, but I have the same problem.

Please provide the URL of the page/site that does not behave as expected.

In this case Mylenium is incorrect. Assuming that you are currently using Muse, redirect it universal seems only to dimensions of the screen and the screen is multi-touch decide between the computer desktop, tablet or phone. There is no known issue with the release of Muse in this area.

In addition, the browser's cache is not relevant for this behavior. That could impact the behavior is specifically clear cookies – a cookie is used to allow a user to force another provision designed for the device to be displayed (i.e. "go to full Site", "Go to the Mobile Site", "Go to the Site of Tablet" behaviour).

  • Mobile version of the Site using bad assets

I saw my site on businesscatalyst and it looks perfect on the desktop, but when I view it on mobile, is to show mainly texts and images of the model I used that I deleted and replaced with my belongings. Why these still appear only on laptop instead of that I replaced with.

Can you check the mobile version of the Web site on your desktop by adding a "/ phone" to the URL.

If you are able to see the same text and images of the model, so I advise to check the mobile version of your site in Muse:

  • Mobile version of a Web site on my laptop

I ran malwarebytes last night and removed a bunch of "registry errors. Today, one of the websites that I use frequently; fodors.com, presents itself in Firefox as the mobile version. This is the only site that seems to appear like a mobile version and the mobile version is not displayed when I try it in Internet Explorer. Any suggestions?

Hi eyalnow, what I see in Firefox, Chrome, and Firefox Mobile is a sensitive provision which varies based on the width. If you are looking for in your stylesheet (http://eyalnow.com/eyalnow/wp-content.../style.css) 1260, you can see the media query which allows to reverse the provision to a width of document 1260px or more.

Its simple, but the measure of the width of the page (window.innerWidth) in Firefox 22 and later is different than in previous versions because it is adjusted depending on the zoom level, as part of Firefox becomes an application "DPI-compatible". 1260 physical monitor pixels will be indicated as a lower number if your zoom level is greater than 100%. For example, if the zoom level is 125%, it is reported as 1050 pixels in CSS layout.

If you zoom up and down on the next page of the piece, you can see how this new math: http://dev.jeffersonscher.com/resolution.html

Then... If you look at your site at a high zoom level, and you want the layout "desktop", what is the solution? One possibility is to let the user to reduce the zoom level if they find the most compact layout is too large for comfortable reading. Another possibility is to experiment with additional variables to refine reactive behavior. I don't have enough experience to suggest how you could do.
