When turn on the power, with a freshly charged battery, just why the /CHG light stays on?

I found the answer when I put the Flash turned off, the led turns off.

If the light is always on when the Flash is set to Auto.

    Hello
Welcome to the community of Sony.

There is no Action Cam with HDR-AS10A model number available in the United States. Only the AS10-HDR and HDR-AS10/B are available. The only difference between the two is that the 'B' in the HDR-AS10/B model number matches the color of the camcorder, which is black.

  • Sony HDR-SR12 Windows 8.1-compatible 64-bit and Adobe Premiere elements 11?

Can anyone adivse whether AVCHD files can be imported from the drive hard Sony HDR-SR12 or appropriate in Adobe Premiere elements 11 memory cards? I could not find the camera listed as supported, but may not have looked in the right place.

Can anyone confirm if the AVCHD files can be imported from the HDR-SR12 in Corel VideoStudio Pro X 7? It seems to me that they can.

  • "Movie recording disabled" failure Message When recording HD on HDR-SR12

We have owned a Sony Handycam HDR SR-12 for many years and have had great success. Recently, when recording of sporting event of the child, suddenly received the message, HD Movie recording disabled". On the touch screen of Handycam, indicated that there is no space left on the hard disk, that is, 0 minutes. I was surprised, but deleted some old HD videos off the hard drive and continued. The touchscreen has indicated that about 120 minutes, the space was now left on the hard disk of 120 GB. I fillmed minutes more HD video and watched the minutes of the thin runoff from 120 to 119 to 118... then all of a sudden, the minutes of the end instantly went to 0, and I got the message 'HD Movie recording Diaabled' again.

Again I deleted some old videos and exactly the same cycle repeated itself.

I hooked my camcorder to my computer to see how much space was left on the hard disk of 120 GB. It shows that 34 GB are free 111 GB.

Do not know what is happening.  I contacted the Sony chat that had me to do two things.

    1. press the reset button.

    2. turn off the camcorder, remove the battery for a minute, then reinsert and power back up.

No procedure had no effect.  The agent suggested that, somehow, we have changed the operating system on the video camera software.  It is impossible because we have never done anything other than video to your device using PMB or PMH. Before signing off the coast, we have been sent a repair link that cited a lump sum of $300 + for a person to look at the camcorder. Which doesn't make sense.

Does anyone have an idea what is happening. We love this camera.  We would be very grateful for any ideas on how to solve this problem and to recover and record.

    Thank you very much!

    Rachedie,

    • Set the recording mode (REC MODE) in the camcorder HD AVC 5 M (LP) and check. See page # 68 of the Manual to set the REC MODE.
    • Transfer the recorded movies or pictures from the camcorder to a computer.
    • Format the hard disk of the camcorder. See page # 63 of the manual to find the steps of formatting the hard drive.

Note: Formatting the drive will remove all files.

  • On the HDR-XD550 buffer overflow error

I had my handycam for over a year and only used a few times. We took it to the Disnyland and we got the video and great photos so she went in a padded case and was not again for 6-7 months. In the middle of registering my program of school kids that I have received a "buffer overflow" message and recording stopped. I was not able to record more than a few minutes since then. I read about this problem on several websites with the same model correct. Of course, Sony wants me to pay hundreds of dollars to watch because it is just over a year. Technical support even says she has heard of this problem with the other appellants, but Sony will not determine whether a recall. I spent a lot of money on what was supposed to be a quality product, and if it was because of something I did, I have to pay for the repairs, but many, many, many others have the same problem.

Hello and welcome to the Discussion Forum for the users.

I'm sorry you have a problem with "buffer overflow" appear on the LCD screen and the recording stops automatically. I couldn't find the model HDR-XD550 in our knowledge base, but I assume you have a model of Digital Camcorder HDR-XR550 hard drive. The "buffer overflow" error may occur when the camcorder detects the shock of the continuous noise or whipped milks, and internal protection system is activated to stop the recording on the hard disk. When recording in an environment that has continuous sound hard or milk whipped, as in a concert hall live or on a bike, please keep the camcorder from the source noise or shake as much as possible.

  • Problems with Sony Handicams

I have the first Pro Creative Suite 5.5. My problem is that I use two different Handicams from Sony, the HDR-SR12 and HDR-XR260. When I import the clips, the HDR-XR260 (new model), looks very good. But when I drag the clips for the HDR-SR12, the framework is very small, with black that surrounds the entire image. My question is: what presets can I use to solve this problem and what format should I export with HD quality? Thank you

Go with what Jim, that SOUNDS like you have a camera to record in HDV and one is the SD recording

  • How to delete MP4 files

    Camera model: HDR-CX670

I need to make room in memory. It seems that the only way to remove the videos from the camera is using the device itself and not using a program on PC as PlayMemories.

The problem is that my camera contains a folder named MP_ROOT with about 18 GB of MP4 files (I don't know where they come from; it looks like they are created whenever I have something, in addition to the movie AVCHD files). This folder is not displayed on the device, and I am therefore unable to remove it.

I could use my PC to delete the folder or the files it contains, but I do not know if I break something by doing this. Because I like to keep a few videos on the camera, memory formatting isn't an option.

How can I safely get rid of these files?

    Hi Berndbausch,

You can safely remove the MP4 files in the MP_ROOT folder.

Your camcorder is set to dual record mode that is why it creates MP4 files while he was recording AVCHD movies.

To turn off video Dual Rec mode, you can go to:

    [Menu]-> [Image quality / Size]-> [Dual REC video]-> [DISABLED].

  • HDR - AZ1 external microphone?

Is it possible to use an external microphone with the HDR - AZ1, through mini-USB, Wi - fi or an Iphone?

You cannot connect an external microphone for HDR - AZ1.

The other Sony Action cam models include a MIC-in, but the AZ1 is too small for that.

You can use an external Audio recorder and synchronize the audio of the film in post-production.

    Kind regards

  • Question of X700d HDR

I just picked up this TV from Best Buy and had to do the update from a USB key. The most recent update includes support HDR? My Xbox s said that it is not included, but I read that the TV doesn't support 10 HDR.

    Sony Hi community,

If you are the Canada or the United States, the HDR update has been released for the following models:

    XBR-49X700D
    XBR-55X700D
    XBR-65X750D

If your television sets have been set to automatically download updates, it should have HDR now.

  • 4 k hdr in favor not hdr tv

    Hi all

I have a Sony 800 b model tv. Although Sony has not announced hdr update for the 800 b, someone told me that if I had a source for hdr 4 k, the tv would be able to output hdr on the screen. Is this true or false?

    Hi Briastarstone,

Welcome to the community of Sony.

The HDR update won't be available for this model as the integrated component of this game is not capable of managing the content of HDR.

    Thank you

  • Live streaming and own HDMI output on camcorder SONY consumer (HDR-PJ650VE in my case)

    Hi all

I'm trying to figure out how I can live streams, using my Camcorder HDR-PJ650VE. I managed to connect the camcorder to my TV by HDMI out and get the live stream, but the problem is that it also displays the superimposed onscreen. It would be a very useful feature, since it this way, you are able to capture the stream by a jury of consumers capture and share it on Youtube for example.

I cannot find anything on the manual release of the stream HDMI output and get rid of overlapping info. Is there a key combination or a hidden menu to achieve?

In addition, it seems very strange SONY would not offer such feature, as for example the PANASONIC offers this good enough consumption walked on models like HC-V520

Please, let me know if it would be possilb esolving this annoying limitation

    Best regards

    Matteo

I want to share my discovery because it seems to be valid for all SONY camcorders: to have a clean HDMI out, turn off on HDMI CTR.

I'm very happy now and I'll start live broadcast!

  • Sony xbr65x950b supports HDR so why don't we have it yet?

If the TV has hdmi2 which is supported by the A-spec via a simple update.
