  Hi, in the manual for my a35er G62 (http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c02542102) says that it can to support up to 8 GB of memory RAM, but the supported higher in the manual configuration is 2x2gb (4 GB).

  How can I know what kind of config my phone supports? (2 x 4 GB - 8 GB total / 2x8GB - 16GB total)

  Right in the manual, the bottom of page 1:

  Supports up to 8 GB of memory system

  Example configurations that they give the list just means that it has been sold, so apparently it was sold only with up to 4 GB of memory, but can use and accept 8 GB (2 x 4).

  So I bought the new laptop (hp pavilion 15-p153nm), in the shop where I bought it says that this laptop have two memory slots, so I buy the new 4 gb ddr3 ram card and wanted to put in the free memory slot, but when I opened the laptop that I couldn't find free one slot... so my question is where is this second slot...   There is no second slot of memory in this model specification.

  You need to replace the module installed with a capaity module above uppgrade the memory capacity.

  On the three t pageit the manual describes two locations only on some models. It does not describe what models they are.

  I'm new to the forum. I just bought a Pavilion laptop model # 15 - ab127ca 15 ". It comes with 6 GB of memory ram (4 + 2). I'm looking to spend at least 8 and perhaps 16 GB. I looked online and there is no information about this product on the expansion of the ram. I also called HP support, and the reply was 'I don't know' and the other was ' without the processor in is not compatible for an upgrade.   I had a peek in as well and I don't see any arrangement about the memory.

  3.48 GB usable he showed also when I got only 4 GB installed and I went with the assumption that half of the concert is used by the video card even though it is supposed to have 1 GB of dedicated memory. My graphics card is Nvidia GeForce GT 620 dxdiag.

  My question is how can I get windows to recognize and use all 8 GB of RAM.

  I managed to understand.

  I know it's maybe a common thing, but I'll still write my solution here just in case.

  The problem was with reserved Windows hardware. that took like 4.6 GB.

  In difficulty who go to run (windows key + R) and type msconfig and enter.

  In the Startup tab, click the advance Options and deselect maximum memory.

  Restart and now my computer shows all 8 GB of RAM.
