model of recursive list of files

Hello

I created a Subvi, which runs a main folder for specific files and adds them to a compressed folder. I have 4 files that I create for different types of collected files (.csv and .txt). The file naming convention include an object identifier, description of the task and time (most of the time). Here are some examples:

ABC_30s_narrow_ec_12-23-42 - PM_R.csv (multiple with different timestamps)

ABC_30s_narrow_ec_12-23-42 - PM_L.csv (multiple with different timestamps)

ABC_sts_arms_12-21-06 - PM.csv (multiple with different timestamps)

ABC_Tablet_2_12-26-56 - PM.txt (multiple with different timestamps)

ABC_gait.txt

ABC_zero.csv

I tried by using the model of the vi recursive list of files to search for a specific task (for example 30 sec) and that move to a compressed folder you specified (for example the balance). Files are moved only if the "model" at the end of the file name. The model is only the end of the files listed or can I get it to find the model in the middle of the name? And is it possible to find two patterns (for example, 30 s and zero) and move them to the same folder, without crushing the compressed file? I would like to understand this without modifying the convention of naming too much (predetermined by someone else).

Thanks in advance,

Anton

The model can be applied anywhere in the file name. Aid indicates specifically how a boss can ask at the beginning of a file name (*.vi matches all the screws). To search for specific text in the middle of the file name, you must use a model like * text * (with an asterisk before and after the text that you want to match). You can similarly to mutiple models with * pattern1 * pattern2 *.

My folders disappeared when 10.6.8 OS10.11.3. In any case, to get this stuff back in folders rather than a long list of files?

    Where they disappeared?

Some changes that may be what you watch:

    • All of my files - this is the search folder that searches all your files in your home and presents them in one place. They were not moved, they are displayed just like they are.
    • Framed by default - the sidebar returns the values by default for all folders that you placed there will need to be added again.

Your files are stored inside your folder into subfolders such as Documents, movies, pictures, etc. They are all should still be there. You can add one of these folders to the sidebar by dragging them there, or you can use the tab of the sidebar in the Finder preferences.

You can access your file in the Finder with cmd-shift-h (menu go).

  • List of files in the order: 0,1, 2..., 10, 11..., 99, 100, etc... without timestamp

    Hello

    I keep running into a problem whenever I need a list of the files in order. Instead of 0,1,2,... 10,11, 12... 100, 101... Get list the files in the following order "alphabetical": 0,1,10,100,101... 11 110,..., 12, 120, 121,..., 2, 20, 200...

I understand that a simple solution would be to list the files by date and I did in the past, but this solution is not available for me this time.

The time stamp on the files is very sensitive: sometimes I need to manually mess with some of the files after them, thus reseting create the timestamp on them. Another problem happens when I create files too quickly, they end up sharing the same timestamp again in alphabetical order incorrectly. A solution to this is to create files with an artificial delay of a second between the creations. It is very time consuming and not feasible in real-time applications.

Sorry to be verbose. I wonder if it is a simple way to list the files in a folder sequentially by just using their file name (ending on a #)?

Thank you jcarmody. It's a lot easier that I thought it would be. I have attached the solution

  • Save dialog box under does not display the list of files

Terminal Server R2 of 2012.  Dialog box "Save as" for a user does not display the list of files.  The address bar shows the way, there is a form for the file name box, and the user can save the file successfully.  But the space that would show the files in the selected directory is empty.  There is no form for the list of files box, it's just the grey box dialog box space - that is to say, it is not that it looks like an empty folder, there is simply no display form box.

The 'Open' dialog box appears normal, showing the list of files in the selected folder.

I had the user close the session on the Terminal Server and access it from another PC, even if I was not expecting to make a difference, and it didn't.  I have also connected on myself and has not experienced the same problem.  So it seems to be user-specific.

What a setting, the user has selected by mistake, or a mistake any?

    Thanks for any help.

    Filename C:\Cab\

The reason im trying to understand this is that I have about 3500 files that I want to put in a cab file and I don't want to alter each line because it would take FOREVER!

    Sure.

    Just enter the command:

    dir /b /s C:\Cab > outfile.txt

This simply gives you a list of files in the C:\Cab directory and put the list in the file "outfile.txt".
The "/ s" will include subdirectories and will also give full paths

Original title: created the new toolbar on the sort option for changing the taskbar.

I created a new toolbar on the taskbar, and it is directed to a folder in my network. When I click the new button on the toolbar, it opens subfolders sorted by filemane. Then, open the sufolders with files sorted by filemane.

I want to sort the list of files per hour not the file name. is it possible to change this?

    Here's what I did.

I right click on the taskbar - selected toolbars - selected new toolbar - selected the folder on my network.

When I click the double chevron right the new toolbar button, it opens the files in this folder, and then I select a subfolder and an another subfolder then the individual wave in this final folder files. There are more than 300 wave files in this folder. It sorts thenm by file name which is a randomly assigned file name by the used recording software. I want to sort the files by time instead of file name. is this possible?
