• Trade rules: alteration of the rules without redeploying composite

  Hello
  
  Using SOA Suite 11g since last year, I have never worked on business rules.
  I am currently assess the abilities of the business rules for my organization, and I was wondering if we can change or modify the rules in the rule set without redeploying the composite together again. For example, we can change the value of Globals or Bucketsets from the console?
  
  I am currently going through the documents, but a quick response would help me a lot.

  Awesome. Nope. You have NOT need other separate license or installation for BPM. You already have that. If you have installed soa suite 11.5, she should have also all the components of bpm. Infact if you create a process bpm application, you may have already used bpm/workspace for this in your testing process. If you have pure soa with a few bpels applications, you may have used integration/worklistapp. Just like that, you should be as bpm/composer. There are all the apps box that we get with the soa/bpm software.

  I really wish if Oracle can mentioning clearly in their download sites that there is no difference of soa or bpm or separate facilities for these 2 commonly used terminologies.

  See 2 links below. If the title is different, the downloaded files are SAME. Isn't that in JDeveloper, you need 2 extensions: a SOA and BPM.

• connection error of business rules for outline planning application

  Hi all
  I recently migrated schemas uat to configured prod.i evrything successfully.when database
  I loged in the console of Regional service with the user (other than the administrator) that the user has all access to create business rules.
  I tried to create new business rule to select the planning application.
  I get this error"error connection server essbase < servername >: < appname >
  in the details of the error "connection to the server pllanning < servername > error: < appname >.
  and "error loading of objects from data source: java.sql.SQLException: [Hyperion] [Oracle JDBC Driver] object has been closed."

  I reconfigure EAS on the machine production and the drop and re-create the database.
  So I'd either use the migration tool to copy rules from one server to another, or just rules the export as xml and then import them again.

  1.i would like to close the last tab without closing the application. The behavior I expect is the application to open a new empty tab when I close the last tab currently I can't close the last tab which already has some open site in it.

  2. when I open a new tab, I have to enter a Web site address. I expect the app to just open a new empty tab and let him to enter an address or not for me.

  It is being developed and will be changed to allow the closure of the last tab in Firefox 18 or 19.

• Business rule running for the single member of the entity Dimension

  Hi all

  I'm developing an application of classical planning using Hyperoin 11.1.2.2

  I came across a scenario where a specific business rule is executed when the data are recorded on a specific data form. (IE run save the data form item)

  Currently, this rule executes all Member of the entity Dimension.

  Is it possible that this rule is run only for one member of the entity (that is currently selected in the Section Page of this form of data)

  Please note: I don't want to use run the guests of time i.e. I don't want my user to explicitly specify which Member of the entity in the RPT. In our its obvious business logic this business rule is only required to run for the member selected in the entity Dimension

  You must create a Variable of RTP of the type member, when you associate this rule save this form of data, select the option use members on forms of data and hide guests in this way you don't get the window prompt and BR will perform for a specific entity.

  Nobody here knows where you specified to save the file on YOUR computer. Thunderbird does not control that.
  You can open the file again, and then select Save. It will more than likely try to save in the same place. Pay attention to the place this time to see where it was saved. If this location is not to your taste, specify a different location, and then delete the first record attempt.

• Business rule attached to the Composite web form does not

• Not to redeploy the application portal together whenever we change a portlet

  Hi people,
  I have about 50 Struts portlets in my weblogic portal, depending on the architecture of portlet struts in the documentation, so we now have one ear that ends that whenever we change any portlet we will need to redeploy the entire portal :(!
  I read on the Federated portal, but it seems that its great advantage is when your portal wants to consume remote portlets deployed in distant producers, but this isn't my case, since all my portlets are local, so I think that there could be a simpler solution (* as in websphere where we have a separate war for each portlet *)
  any suggestions? would be great if you can provide any resource or links document the steps necessary to achieve

  WSRP, what you probably want to use. Yes, WSRP is used to consume remote portlets deployed in producers 'at a distance', but it is worth noting that "at a distance" simply means that the portlet is in a different Web application. This could be on a different physical server, or a different WAR simple within the same EAR. Using WSRP for consuming portlets, you can configure your application where each portlet is in its own WAR, if you wish.

  When you use WSRP to access portlets that run on the same JAVA virtual machine, "proxy local mode" allows a much faster access to portlets by eliminating support for WSRP communication network. Documentation on how to use the local proxy mode can be found here:

• Listener for notification/clock without running the application

  We wanted to implement application of traction which runs every hour or so to check the main server for new data and update a local SQLLite database.

  Instead of background application that runs all the time, we were wondering if there a way to plan the such task such as our custom event listener/application launched / will periodically call a Blackberry? When the listener is started, all it has to do is check for data and output backend.

  It is more or less similar to Windows at the special request or cron job.

  You don't have to call it recursively to all.

  Here are the steps:

  1. your application is launched with a specific argument of your choice.

  2. in the main method you are looking for this argument and run your login code.

  3. after the application is completed, schedule it to run again in an hour, or whatever time you want to.

  4 complete the application.

  This process is a recursive process.

  And of course, it's better than running your application when it is not needed.

  I founded a response. . I used utorrent option/preferences/general boss key feature. and I just put the key to the combination and she responded to my needs.

• Update the database without affecting the application

  Recently, we are improving our test environment with the last group of patches of SOUL with 2 patches huge. now, the requirement is to update the database with the most recent data. I'm quite aware that refreshing db only will affect the fixes we applied. There is no work around for this?

  Kai,

  You must apply the patches again after updating the database using "options = nocopyportion, nogenerateportion". In doing so, the part of the database apply only, and the database will be in phase with the application with respect to these two patches.

• Oracle EPM 11.1.1: Issue of business rules

  I installed Oracle EPM 11.1.1 and I created a planning application. However, when I connect to the analytical Administration console and try to create a business rule I am faced with the following question:
  
  1. when I try to select planning application I get the following errors:
  
  Error connecting to server < servername > Essbase / < Application name >.
  
  Detail: could not connect to Planning Server
  
  2. as it implemented autour, I the Essbase outline and the rule is validated AAS. This rule has been attached to a form and must be performed when I do a mailing. However, the rule does not form. I tried to run the rule of web Planning and even once, I get an error.
  
  I checked the access rights for the shared services business rule and the admin user (which I use) has available and administrator rights. Is this a configuration problem or is there something I'm missing here.

  RMI
  EAS
  Planning

  Then connect to the planning application, then go to INJURED and if the provision is set, then you should be able to create a business rule and choose the application you accessed.
  If there are problems, then there may be a configuration problem.

  The business removed from the calculation Manager rule is not available in the calculation Manager but still available in the list of planning application business rules.

  Any suggestion is appreciated to get it removed the application too.

  Note: EPMA, to deploy the application, but not safe for the classic.

  Are you sure you have deployed all the rules again Calc Manager planning then the rule is removed from the planning to remove from the Manager of Calc won't be enough.
