  Dear all,

  I have a growing network that has inherited the reliability and scalability issues:

  (Example from my existing network)

  

  We pop connected with us through lines of CF, that LSPS are connected to our CF traverse on persistent organic pollutants.

  Now, it is necessary to make the core of switching (switch with "?" mark) redundant

  because this is the point of concentration of all connections outside.

  I got an appointment in order to study new equipment (now it's just Catalyst 3560) for this network block.

  Unfortunately, the budget is pretty low.

  I have the following considerations:

  I think that the main problem is that most of the connections is L2 trunk links and it is difficult to prevent this.

  It seems that I need to duplicate all the links to LSP FC, pop and branches (this seems doable) and rely on STP! (this seems bad)

  with all of these links.

  Currently, I have two options for the basic block:

  1. two Catalyst 3750 have duplicated links. (CSW1 LSP1, CSW2-LSP1) and rely on STP

  2. a switch Catalyst 4500 series with two redundant supervisors (probably, they allow to buy if there are strong arguments) have reproduced links and rely on STP.

  These two options do not look good because I have to rely on STP with LSP.

  I would use redundancy features and L3 protocols, but do not know how to avoid trunks

  I have no experience with the material of fantasy as a Catalyst 4500/6500 series.

  Could someone please advice me alternatives for options of design and of the hardware and confirmation or withdrawal of my options.

  Also, I would be grateful if someone could help me find strong arguments for the acquisition of Catalyst 4500 series light up the core.

  Hi Max,.

  in the diagram and description that you provided the switch, you need to replace is a dashboard device that works only for the moment, in L2

  If you plan to go L3 communications in this device, you should review your design to the whole of the network and also review/discuss with MS how that can be converted into L3 communications

  If you want to keep the same as L2 and introduce it into the device or devices for redundancy, I'd rather have two redundant devices of a redundant chassis that I mean pair of 3750 is more reliable chassis 4500 with equipment redundant as soup, UPE however its a reliable option as well and again for sure

  If you rely on STP for redundancy, what is the problem here? It is time of convergence or what is your concern?

  Yes... same mobility group... so if you are between the wlc for A and B roaming you will be fine.

  We use the shared Application scope application modules to share static lists between users and it works fine.

  However, we want to further improve the performance by interviewing all objects from view from the start, when the first user accesses the application (I know, a compromise, but it works in practice).

  Hello, I am new on ODI and by now realized that, in my case I cannot use a standard Oracle KMs. I understand that there is a way to create a km personalized using a standard as a model.   Right-click your KM base in your project (module Designer), duplicate, change the name, make your changes, export out of designer, check with your version control tool, enjoy!

  It is not a built-in feature to prevent you from visiting specific Web sites, but there are a few modules designed for this. I have not tested these myself, but you can check out them, read reviews, see what you think:

  Load after submit only is currently supported for the global object - contact in your case.

  If when the Incident is created, you can some how get RightNow to copy a custom field to the Contact reference number (for example lastCreatedRefNum or similar), then you could load from there in touch and then display it to the user.

  Hello, I just want to confirm things im of understanding on what im reading under Performance/Networking

  We are counting on the creation of a disaster recovery Site, currently 5.5 Vsphere with 5 guests.  One of the things im trying to figure out is networking.  Our current environment runs on Cisco UCS so that the hosts are NIC there running to 20gbps.  This seems definitely exaggerated to the site of DR.  So the plan is to have just a few hosts in the recovery site and im trying to figure out what NIC or what speed I should use.  1 GB or 10 GB Ethernet.

  If I look at each host Vsphere and goto Performance and networking, I can see the use of network cards.  Using the highest for a week is 25Mmps and it is a short spur, the average for each host is between 600 Kbps and 1.1Mbps.

  So if I put 1 Gig Ethernet NIC in the host and nic by looking at this thinking im team I would be fine.  10 gig Ethernet seems certainly exaggerated and more expensive.

  IM I have analyzed this right or am, I missed something?

  I use 7 Captivate and one of my module design requires me to display the playback bar on specific training slides. I put my PlayBar to NOT show on overlay because that would cover the lower part of the screen shot of the application, so now the PlayBar is displayed outside the canvas area and does not interfere with anything on the screen. The problem is that on the siides where the PlayBar is hidden (assign cpcmdShowPlaybar = 0), there is a band of colorful at the bottom of the screen (where the playback bar would have been had visibility been lit), I don't want to have.

  How do I get there?

  No way to change the resolution of the project at halfway, that is what you want: reduce the height when there is no playback bar. Would look funny too. Try to make the bottom border, which is what we will see when the PlayBar is hidden, in the same color as the background of your slides. I wanted to propose the PlayBar in overlay, but you don't want that.

Liquid cooling is a waste of money (unless the overclocking to the extreme) and a beast to install.

Your choice startup disk is too small and one expensive SSD. Better get a 320 HDD Samsung F4 classic.

You need an extra couple of HDD to use the 980 to its potential.

You may need to consider a dedicated raid controller.

You may need a case to put all that things, unless you prefer the free items on your desktop.

I did search non-stop for several days, and it's time to ask for your expertise.  I'd appreciate any help.

I will be ordering a new system of Production Premium CS5, and especially I use first Pro CS5 to edit projects of long duration (huge time with thousands of clips) of Red 4 k footage.  It's a feature film with only a few F / X shots, but we would like to do the same F / X, sound mixing and color correction in CS5 as possible.

Here's what I'm thinking:

I liked this mobo due to the possibilities of the chipset and because it has 1394 for DV capture old.  In addition, it has 8 SATA 2.0, 3.0, 2 2 SATA. 2.0 and 2 USB 3.0 eSATA for storage huge/fast forward options.  Is there a better alternative if I'm looking forward to having at least one of each of these formats?

3. I'm going to clone their 1 TB drive OS on a smaller 250 GB disk for use as the OS and then use their 1 TB drive, as part of a 2 TB RAID 0 video storage.  The raid of the mobo or a controller using some type of RAID virtual (like I did in Xp64) will be fine, or do I need a separate RAID controller (as if I had the end of the 1990s).

4. What do you think of this processor and RAM for what I do?  No reason to prefer 2 Quad-Core (if two processors are even compatible with CS5)?  Please let me know if the current configuration will be trolling with huge chronologies with thousands of 4 k clips.

5 maybe I don't need the Creative sound card and could just use the mobo sounds?

6. it will be simple for me to remove the graphics card and install a Nvidia GeForce GTX 285 myself?

7. the Nvidia GeForce GTX 285 appears to be a good target for the GPU acceleration for me since I don't expect to have 4 + layers of videos, although I do multiple effects in 1 or 2 layers.  Would have given a Quadro FX no advantage over the GTX 285 to the huge chronologies with thousands of 4 k clips?  Or benefits for any other use?

8. the GTX 285 has 2 DVI connectors only (more something akin to the S-video).  Can I use a DVI to my workstation and a DVI for video surveillance in real-time on a LCD TV with HDMI/DVI or professional HD video monitor.  No problem with my 4 HD real-time look at a k video / output?  What is the best configuration for your video on an external monitor?  At the time of CS2, I used a 1394 through a camcorder in a professional analog monitor, but it won't be HD, more I heard that there is a problem syncing these days.

For the longer form material Red 4 K, look at 24 GB of memory, instead of 12. Also consider the i7-980 X instead of the 930, due to the load with long form projects.

Definitely get at least 3 drives additional, set apart from the OS disk and refrain from partitioning. A solid raid configuration may be wise.

  To do that you will need to change the varibles PID values and then use the sliders to add numbers to a latch for variables that point.

  This is how I think it works in Version 8.

  In all cases, you should move on to 12 more stable summer.

  In addition, unless that is a very slow process, I generally do not like closed loop PID with DASYLab due to the fact that computers is not reliable with timing.
