Momentary loss of Wi - Fi connectivity

Windows 7, 64-bit, run Internet Explorer:

My wi - fi falls occasionally and therefore particularly when I open a new Web site.  I get the error "You are not connected to a network", but if I wait a few seconds, the Web page loads normally without having me to do anything.  I checked the router resets, reboot, etc.  Looks very good.  I have updated the drivers.  Before this occurring has started, I made a few changes to software on the computer, but nothing major.  A restore of the system to an earlier point does not solve the problem.

I also sometimes messages indicating that another computer on the network has the same IP address.  There are a lot of wireless devices in the House, but I don't see how a different computer in the actions of the House the same IP address.

Diagnosis & Windows programs can't find the question behind any of these problems.

  • sudden loss of battery power, connection lost, lose all power from power supply disconnected, does not recognize battery

I have a Sony VAIO & use the largest of the battery (extended life) since I bought it 3 years ago fighting.  I was always able to automatically switch the power supply of the battery by simply unplugging, or computer plugging in AC on leash.  And, I was always able to see the battery down icon to the left of the screen (taskbar) & it would show % battery remaining.  Now, all at once, as soon as the power supply cord is UN-plugged the laptop turns off completely, no reserve power at all & I can't find the info of the battery. anywhere on the computer.  Icon no longer appears in the lower left corner & when I go into the power settings, the "Battery 1" icon is grayed out, so it seems that the computer is not finding all the batteries.  It happened so suddenly.  Could battery comes essentially lost all its power & become non-existent to the computer, or is this a computer problem, battery not recognize.  Not sure if this puts some I can fix somewhere, or if I need to have a computer repair man to fix the real computer.  Please HELP, I am desperate to solve this problem, as a laptop does not really serve its purpose if it must be connected to the hard power all the time!  TX in advance for a help, suggestions.

Yes, most things are cheaper to replace than to trouble.

But if the laptop seems to work ok otherwise, he might just be easier to see if there is a recall on the faulty battery or if it is still under warranty.  In addition, sometimes you can add a little more memory to the old system and see some performance improvements

on the other hand, replacement of the laptop can be problematic because the old machine has all the programs installed on it, registered product keys and has accumulated years of personal files.  and sometimes old expensive programs won't work on newer versions of windows.

the argument would be to close the new machine on the standards you eventually accept.

  • Loss of wireless network connection

Have a WRT160N router (Wireless-N), which works well for months.  Suddenly, although I can see the network connection Wireless 2.4 GHz as being available, I can not connect.  Someone knows why reason?  Appreciate any comment / orientation.

Thanks for the comments.  I tried to re - adjust, but I think you're right in that it was a problem with channels - too much interference from other devices in the House. All good now.

  • Satellite A30: when the adapter is connected the battery stops charging

Using a Satellite A30 about three years. Recent problem is that while the power adapter is plugged the battery stops in charge, the orange battery indicator turns off.

If you look at the power management utility battery poweer bed On Line, % of discharge meter

So he can load either, I have to turn the machine off (completely or to hibernate) then remove the power cable and reintegrate them, then the battery light turns on. When restart the battery will begin charging for a while, and then for no apparent reason in defence start.

If left reaches 0% battery - the machine continues to operate when the power cable is connected so its power do ok, but of course starts to beep when it goes below 10%. To get it going again, I need to stop and restart etc.

I have checked the bios and have the latest version.

I cleaned around the outlet heat exchanger and deleted all the fluff.

I use a generic adapter that the original does not, but as far as I can tell its working normally.

    Richard

    Hi Richard,

Your problem is caused by a bad connection where the power adapter is connected to the Jack at the back of your laptop. A slight movement of the cable causes a momentary loss of contact and electronics of management power in Notepad is deceived into beleiving that the battery is no longer available, in which case when the battery goes out and the laptop will return to the battery power even if the AC adapter is connected. As you have already discovered, turn off the laptop will be all back to normal.

I have experienced the same situation with my A30-141 and have not yet found one solution other than to resort to power off the laptop computer, but I managed to avoid the problem occurs by pinching the cable ca at the back of the laptop so that there is no risk of power do not connect the bending in order to trigger the problem in the first place. This has been a remarkable success to date, and I didn't have a problem for several months now.

Obviously, it is not a "cure" for the problem but the frustration it causes.

    Kind regards

  • Photon: Dropped calls and network connectivity problems

I bought my Photon August 18 and he was not long for me first to the problems with network connectivity.

The phone displays signal on the phone, but when you try to call, send text messages or surf the web. Zilch.

A soft reset works every time. I've had some experience with the issue of the "appeal of ghosts", but had no network connectivity so often that he was too much a problem. Restores the soft 3-4 per day.

I took the phone to the Sprint store and they told me that my phone verified and were not hardware problems that may be found. I said at the time on the update of the software of MR5 and was anxious to see how the phone after the update.

I received the update on Wednesday and the phone worked fine. No appeal of ghost, no network connectivity not problems, only dropped the call.

Now, Friday morning, I lost network connectivity despite seeing the strength of the signal and had to perform a soft reset to regain connectivity. My wife and I bought this phone at the same time. She had many calls interrupted before the update and we both experienced after that update eventhough signal showing on the phone is at least two if not more bars.

Is this a known issue? Is it going to be/CAN this be corrected by a software update? Is this phone a lemon and he'll remember?

I LOVE this phone. I don't want to get rid of it, but...

Seriously. It's a phone! Making calls should be the FIRST thing that is done right.

Please, someone, Motorola, reassure me that this isn't a lemon and that network problems are going to be fixed. I CAN wait, but I don't want to get stuck with two phones for $200 that need to be pampered just to be usable.

    Thank you

    TC

Yes, it turns out that be was a buggy phone. Two stores tested Sprint phone for reception of the signal and they said that it spent; but as said the technician in the second store, the tests they take place the phone in ideal conditions.

The two stores I've visited, said they were ready to replace the phone, but my first visit came just before the MR5 update software while I was willing to wait to see if the update corrects the problem. It didn't, but the replacement of the second store phone works fine with upgrading to MR5 and really no problem.

I'll go ahead and mark this question as a response, but if you experience the same problems of chance complete loss of all network connectivity (Sprint or otherwise), I recommend getting the phone replaced. It is a bad camera.

Oh and the technician at the second store mentioned the network problems. It has been a problem for them, but the most telling proof of the issue of network is random dropped calls. So if from time to time, you lose a call under the conditions of good network signal, it's probably not your phone and Sprint. I have almost that many abandoned calls as of late, so it could have been the wrong phone I had that really amplified the problem... or... Sprint has got some of the bugs in our region.

Thank you for looking in. I hope that your problems are as easy to solve as mine and I hope that you are still within your 30 days so that you get a new replacement.

    Best wishes

  • Canon MX922 printer says that it loses power, one a day while being connected to an inverter

I have a printer Canon MX922 posting once to twice a day that it is unplugged. When you press OK it restarts, wasting a lot of ink and lose all incoming faxes that he would not print in this mode. This isn't the plug power loss as it is connected to an inverter that signals without interruptions in power. The power for the printer shows resistance cable practically zero. Also it started randomly losing its wifi connection which requires a reboot to zero and wastes even more ink. Of more when you try to turn it off it never will be, showing "pending" in the display for as long you disturb not yet.

It is not only inappropriate, but very expensive. What can we do?

The solution to this problem is to update the firmware in the menu in the control panel. It solves this problem of interruption false power irritating.

I lost the internet connection after acceptance of your latest updates. How can I cancel the updates?

    Debbie

How do you know that the loss of your internet connection has nothing to do with the Windows updates? You must find the reason for the loss of the connection.

How do you connect? Is a wired or wireless with a modem or a router? If a router is the router shared with another computer and this computer can connect to the internet? You need to determine if the problem is a fault on your computer or a failure to connect to your internet access provider?

    What error messages are reported?

    Event Viewer reports

    1. normally, when an error occurs on your computer looking in Event Viewer should be your starting point to find a solution. More related system errors are recorded and get an exact copy of the relevant report is important. Unfortunately, is not easy to understand reports and most of the users computer need help with their interpretation. I have to say later interpretation.

2 Event Viewer includes three main newspapers of Windows. Here's the Application, security, and system. For purposes of troubleshooting system is by far the most important.

    3. to access the system log, select Start, Control Panel, administrative tools, Event Viewer, in the list on the left of the window select Windows and the system logs. Place the cursor on the system, right click and select filter current log. Check the front of the error and click OK and see you only reports errors. Click the Date and time column header to sort. You may need to click a second time to see the last report above.

    4. a tip for posting copies of error reports! Run Event Viewer and double-click the error you want to copy. Select the Details tab and check the box in front of the XML view. Click the copy button to place a copy in the Clipboard and close Event Viewer. Now start your message and paste it into the body of the message. Make sure that it is the first dough right out of the event viewer.

    5. He cautioned against three types of reports, information, and reports errors. In most situations, it is the error reports that offer the best information but sometimes WARNING reports provide useful clues.

    6. all reports have stamps date and hour and when troubleshooting, it is important to focus on the latest reports. Reports of studies from the point when the computer is started, and then check if a similar report appeared in the previous session. If errors do not repeat investigation as to why they happen is wasted effort.

    7. in the individual reports the most important information is the event ID and Source such as these help when looking for help on the internet. The description is just as important and copy the exact text to use as search criteria greatly helps achieve better results when using Google. • Is it possible for HA / VMotion to migrate a virtual computer when the fiber of SAN connectivity is lost / Cup?

    Use: Version ESX 4 / vCenter4

I have a cluster with ESX 4 nodes running HA. I want to know if it is possible for vmotion to migrate a virtual computer if the host on which it lives has a loss of fiber optic connectivity to SAN/back-end storage. I can get VMotion to work when I go unplug the Ethernet cable to the back of the esx host, but when I unplug the fiber connections that will freeze the virtual machine and no migration will happen. Is it possible to do this with VMotion HA? I also tried to use aggressive DRS to see if when I unplug the fiber it lose connectivity and a loss of memory or cpu and migrate... so not happened... the vm always reports to vCenter that memory and cpu have not changed... then DRS don't not kick to migrate the virtual machine.

    Thank you.

There is no such thing for HA. HA only fires when there is a host or a network isolation fails. DRS also does not realize this. However, there are a lot of events that can trigger an action such as "maintenance mode". don't know if there is a for the failures of way, just check it out. It is described in the following pdf document: http://www.vmware.com/pdf/vsphere4/r40_u1/vsp_40_u1_admin_guide.pdf

  • Heterogeneous connection between Oracle and Postgres.

    Hi all

I am trying to connect heterogeneous Postgres and Oracle for a few days, but I've always seen this error: "loss of the RPC connection.

First of all: I use Windows 7, Oracle 10 g and PostgreSQL 8.4.

    I did the following:

    (1) create a system DNS named "PG". (The connection test is OK)

    (2) to create the file 'initPG.ora' in ' $ORACLE_HOME/hs/admin:
    # This is an example of initialization file of the agent that contains the HS settings

    HS_FDS_TRACE_LEVEL = WE

    #
    # Required for the non-Oracle system environment variables
    #
    #set < varenv > = < value >

    (3) configure the file 'listener.ora' (in ' $ORACLE_HOME/NETWORK/ADMIN "):

    (5) Finally, I create my DB-Link and test it:
    CREATE DATABASE LINK 'CENTRALE_POSTGRES' CONNECT TO 'user_login' IDENTIFIED BY 'user_password' USING "PG";

    SELECT * FROM 'dual"@CENTRALE_POSTGRES;

    I got this error:
ORA-03135: interruption of the RPC connection.

As you can see, I have activated the trace level (HS_FDS_TRACE_LEVEL = WE), but the still empty directory ' $ORACLE_HOME/NETWORK/trace.

    Any ideas?

    Concerning

the alias PG tnsnames.ora is wrong — you must have 2 closing brackets after the so that HS SERVICE_NAME = OK is outside the CONNECT_DATA as:

    PG =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = tcp) (HOST = Cédric-PC)(PORT = 1521))
    (CONNECT_DATA =
    (SERVICE_NAME = PG))
    (HS = OK)
    )

You should know also HSODBC to release 10.2 was desupported since March 2008 and it was replaced by its product follow-up DG4ODBC V11

  • Satellite A30 battery

My cell A30 began randamly drain on the battery while the power is connected. When the laptop achieved 0% battery turns off. The front indicators indicate that the power outlet is plugged. Remove the power plug and reconnect do not solve the problem, just restart or hibernation starts charging the battery.

I removed the Toshiba power management utility, and the same problem occurs with the Microsoft of the power utility. I tried to reinstall the latest Toshiba power management still no resolution.

I don't think it's a bad power connector because the witness indicates the power is connected. Has anyone else seen this or is it a symptom of the battery needing replacement (portable under 18 months)?

    Hi Andy,.

My SA30 does exactly the same thing. The AC LED stays on throughout as the LED, but the battery LED will turn off. The system will show as running on batteries which gradually offload (even though the power LED is still) and finally the book Hibernate.

By trial and error, I found how to trigger this behavior. I just need to apply slight pressure on the side of the DC Jack at the back of the laptop and all the front LED flashes during a fraction of a second and then they all turned off except the ONE and the LEDs of the AC.

I think that the problem is a momentary loss of contact between the inside of the plug CC and the central axis into the Jack located on the back of the laptop. This would explain why the used problem occurs when I moved the laptop or the power cable.

I have now anchor the DC cable to the back of the laptop to prevent any lateral movement of the plug CC and so far that the problem is not returned even if I pick up and move the laptop.

  • EA6900 DHCP timeout problem

This is by far the stronger and more sophisticated wireless router that I have ever used, but it has a small problem in providing wireless services on my phone.  I looked through all the settings and read all the troubleshooting assistance, and I can't find which could control the router sending a momentary power switch pulse exactly all the 60 minutes that is picked up by one of my Apps (AutomateItPro) phone...

I have had no problem affecting this router upward, mosty plain vanilla right out of the box.  Because I use a cable broadband ISP (Charter) I use DHCP - so I don't get in other internet protocoal settings that control "Connect on Demand", etc..  Nor was I changed the default maximum, length of lease of customer value in the configuration of the router, it's always 1440 minutes (24 hours).

This app on my phone has the value triggers a notification when I disconnect all WiFi (this router provides my WiFi at home but I have the app to the WiFi network of any) and activate the mobile data and vice versa with a different tone.  With precision every 60 minutes since I have hard reset the router (with an unplugged power cable), I get a notification of your momentary loss of WiFi follwed in 2 seconds by restoring the WiFi.  I tried a hard reset twice and it is a signal on the router, not the app, or my phone.  The problem is that this continues to happen at night when I am sleeping, and this powerful application overrides my silent nights for the phone settings, so I can still hear him.

What is the setting that does this on the router, and it is possible to prevent him from doing this (emission of the momentary power pulse of the wireless signal)?  I haven't checked if it is a reassignment of IP addresses at this time also...  I really like this router, but being awake is a pain...  (Yes there are other solutions of circumvention of the APP, but those who are not as reliable I found like stop this problem at the source of the router if possible.)

    Thanks from a newbie!

    Hey Ronald,.

I used to have the same problem.

The way I fixed it changed the name of one of my networks.

This router is dual band and has a band of 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz band.

I had both my SSID network named the same thing with the same password.  For a reason which is that... my connection would constantly.  After changing the name and password of one of the bands I have over this problem.

    Hope that helps Ronald.

    I know it's really annoying.
