Monitor cables do not work

Hi all

I bought my computer before 3 years. And my monitor is powered by a switching adapter. Now its does not work. I tried it a few stores and they say that this model is no longer available with the new monitors.
I don't want to buy a new monitor because my monitor works perfectly. But without this switching adapter, my monitor does not work. The problem contains only in this switching adapter.
So is there a solution for a new card instead of buying a new monitor?

I'm terribly sorry for the inconvenience, but I should be able to help you and turn you as soon as possible with as little stress as possible.
On the bottom of your 'adapter', you should find information at this location.

1. search the info until you find something that says "No. M" or "M #" or "Model No." after that (or below) it must be a string of seemingly random letters and numbers. (E.g. model No.: 558gfIF-938LK7)

2. Once you find it type it in your browser (Ex: 558gfIF-938LK7) and research.

(If using Google Search, click on the tab Shopping on the left side)

3. This should see more info on your "adapter" and you should easily be able to find a replacement for it.

You can also type the model number in Ebay or Craigslist to find a replacement.

    We have a weird put in place where Bluetooth does not (entirely).

    iPhone is last 9.3.3

    OSX is 10.11.4

    Setting up Personal Hotspot on the iPhone and then connecting via Wi - Fi laptop does not work. Error message "Unable to connect" standard and suggestion of using Wi - Fi diagnostics (also does not help).

    Go to Bluetooth prefs on OSX and the connection it does not work. Matching does not work, but we CAN see the iPhone. The WiFi scanner captures also the iPhone.

    If connect us the iPhone via the cable and then put in place a personal Hotspot, it does not.

    Surfing on the web, everything works. Disconnect the cable, and it stops again.

    I succeeded in pairing my iPhone to the laptop, so it seems apparent to another iPhone. I'm leaving work via cable uses a direct route via the cable which is a different connection method than live bluetooth signal?

    We have removed the Bluetooth of OSX preferences > no change.

    I think that it s certainly not a physical LAN port problem because as you have already said the ADSL cable works fine.

    You have the right settings TCP/IP to connect to the other computer?
    Both computers must be in the same workgroup. In addition, you must set the IP fix, the subnet mask and the gateway!

    Also, try to remove the map LAN device manager and restart the laptop.
    After the new reboot the OS must load the required drivers and should recognize the card even once.

    I own a LINKSYS WUSB100 usb adapter I used for my wifes desktop... I can connect to my home network to surf the net, but the signal is weak...  I decided to buy a 25' EXTNESION USB CABLE, which comes with a MALE AND FEMALE ends... I simply PLUGGED the cable on my DESK and PLUG the other end of the USB cable from the LINKSYS WUSB100 card and waiting for the COMPUTER TO RECOGNIZE the card without any problems... To MY SURPRISE, the computer would not have hired the LINKSYS CARD... He said "the search for new deivce, peripheral found but not hired"(Something like that)... in any case the desktype sees the device, but willl not hired there as a LINKSYS and I cannot search FRO all networks... As soon as I unplug the LINKSYS of the cable and plug it into the USB port of the computer - BAM my network comes up with a weak signal... Can anyone understand this? My cable is too long?

    There is a standard length for the cable. It will not work with 20 foot extension... Try the cable up to 3-4 feet short and check.

    Have you tried to reset the preferences?

    You can also try to rename the Adobe folder in the Documents to OldAdobe, but this will make you lose workspaces shortcuts and personalized keyboard.

    I'm working on my laptop with 2 external displays. It is connected via the VGA and the other via HDMI. Everything worked fine until yesterday when my HDMI monitor could not be found.

    Things I've tried:
    I tested the moitor by connecting it with another computer, and it worked (with HDMI), then the monitor can not be the question.
    I also tried another HDMI cable... didn't work ether.
    BIOS is updated to the latest version
    graphic driver NVIDIA graphics card and the graphics card intel standard is updated to the latest version.

    Also a strange thing: when im in the menu of the BIOS while having VGA connected the screen keeps turning black for 1-2 seconds and then turn it on again

    You are able to use the HDMI output port without connecting to another additional monitor to the VGA port? Please check because in my experience, it should be possible to use the HDMI or VGA port.

    However, I think that the problem might be related to one of the graphic card driver.
    Why? I think that a video output port would be controlled by a single graphics chip.
    In the case where you are using two monitors at the same time (VGA and HDMI) video card (nVidia or Intel) would control VGA port and the other HDMI port.

    I think that you need to reinstall the Intel display driver.

    I studied a little on the net and it seems that this converter RS232 USB 1.1 creates a virtual serial port (possibly the com 3)
    As far as I know the built-in modem is using the same port.
    Possibly there could be compatibility problems.

  • EliteBook 8460p and external monitor/projector does not work

    We have several 8460 with the same question.

    They work fine until you try to connect to an external monitor/TV/projector and then the trouble begins.

    When you use Fn + F4 to establish a dual monitor output the external monitor and integrated display switches between the two, as if the PC cannot determine the display to use. On rare occasions, it works but it is not reliable. I ve it first met on a fair and when I tried it before the session, it worked fine. During the session it just started this behavior. I took it out and replaced the graphics drivers, BIOS and made sure that the resolution was not the issue. It worked fine and I returned it to the room of the lesson and he did it again.

    I started to believe that the projector was the wrong part here, so I didn't want to use the PC again on this fair, but no other computer shows no signs of distress.

    Since then, it was at the beginning of this spring, I ve seen and experienced the same problem with several computers of the same type and with different monitor and they all behave in the same way.

    I have spent some time now and searched the web but found nothing I ve doesn't explain anything around it and so far no update driver, and no other updates (including a full installation) has solved this problem.

    There are the HP Elitebook 8460p with AMD graphics card in the computer.

    The original problem is old, from 2012, in fact and more or less no longer applies. Some of the more troublesome computers has been replaced with other models at the time and the 8460 p is used more or less entirely users who do not have the need for external screens.

    Have not seen it since a long time but we've updated the BIOS and drivers a couple of times so the current status is in fact "stable".

    Thus, we can say that the problem is not more, but whatever solved the problem is unknown.

  • New computer, new monitor, InDesign6 does not work as it should

    I recently bought a new laptop with dedicated graphics card and processor 6, Windows 7 operating system.

    I installed Creative Suites 6 to a new disc. Photoshop and InDesign worked as expected.
    Then, I connected a new monitor (Samsung 28 4 k ultra hd). While retained all Photoshop features, InDesign has lost much of its functions.

    For example, I can't spend the transformation tool free back to the selection tool.

    I am unable to the graphic design placed even if I have already when I first installed the software on the new computer using another monitor.
    While I can right click on the text to change the font and size, I can't click on the toolbar at the top to change the font and the font size.

    The functions that I'm trying to use are NOT greyed out.

    Things that I tried to solve the problem: installation from download instead of the disk, check / install updates.

    What can I do to return all features of InDesign on a computer and monitor that can handle more load?
