Monitoring of load on IDS

Hello.

At present, I am tracking the traffic flowing on the Int inside my firewall. I need to sniff traffic on another INT as well. before you do this activity, I wanted to know my ID 4235 would take the charge or not.

kindly help me how to measure the current on the IDS.

Hello

You can run the following command:

See the version

Application partition:

The Cisco Systems Version 4,0000 S91 Intrusion detection sensor

2.4.18 - 5smpbigphys-4215 OS version

Platform: IDS-4215

Sensor time is 51 days.

Using 459202560 bytes of available memory (96% of use) 444817408

With 4.3 G off bytes 17 G of disk space available (27% of use)

This could give you the status of memory and disk status.

  • With the system monitor position load raised by deferred procedure calls (DPC)

After starting my E540 Thinkpad with an external monitor connected, a core is busy with (DPC) 50% deferred procedure calls and it works continuously to the clock speed of 100% (2.2 GHz). See the image below.
After disconnect / reconnect the cable HDMI system load down close to 0% and the clock at about 40%, as it should.

It looks like a driver problem.

    How to reproduce it:
    (1) the monitor is connected via HDMI, then turn on the Thinkpad opening shortly the Thinkpad.
    (2) after identifying, Manager tasks shows the 50% load to the base, the resource monitor shows that any load is consumed by deferred procedure calls and that the clock is always at 100%.
    (3) open the Thinkpad and unplug the HDMI cable. The load goes down to almost zero and the clock less than 50%, as it should.
    (4) plug the HDMI cable and the load remains at near zero.

    A few details:
    ThinkPad E540, i7-4702MQ, 8 GB, screen resolution 1920 x 1080
    Monitor HP LP2275w, resolution 1680 x 1050
Win7 64-bit SP1, update Windows and ThinkVantage systemupdate

The intel IGP is active (not Geforce 740 M).
He dealt friezer if except the external screen is activated or the internal and externale are developed or duplicate in the Windows display settings.

Someone else has the same problem?

Any ideas what I can do?

Problem solved, with the help (here and here).

Basically, the solution is the installation of a new graphics driver intel HD 4600 directly from intel.

  • iPad pro icon load acting strangely.

Since iOS 10.0.2 was installed when I charge my iPad Pro 9.7 "icon at the top right seems to act differently.

Before the iOS update when I plugged the cable into the icon would change from the percentage text and a white bar for the battery to a green bar and the prosecution would progress (sometimes the text would update) and move the green bar. When 100% has been reached the green bar would be change in white and below it would say not charging.

It seems now the green bar works fine, up to 95%. So if the iPad goes into 'sleep', when I wake up it it says NO charging current, but there the text usually is greater than 95%? If I pull the rope and reinsert, the bar turns green, but at some point he indicates NO CURRENT charging or the screen goes black and when awakened it indicates NO CURRENT charging.

However, once it reaches 100% now STAYS green bar? He turns not white nor the State DO to RECHARGE not?

I do NOT use a standard charger, but an Insignia desktop charger. This has worked for me for years without problem? Even on this iPad Pro (and an iPAD 2 and 3 in the past).

Ideas? Code modified to load differently to avoid overheating of the battery? My charger is a failure? Do not recharge the iPad is slower than before?

    Confused...

Hello. They changed the logic that monitors the loading. As you say, everything works as before. If you use the original charger, that it should behave normally, because it will receive a higher current (faster loading).

  • Is there a way to control how information is loaded at the screen to stop the scrolling of screen and slow display response?

I have two monitors (ATI Radeon bi-ecrans graphics card). The two monitors are identical Dell FS monitors. #2 load monitor views slowly and scrolls to the bottom of the screen. Monitor 1 loads quickly and does not scroll to the bottom of the screen. How can I get the slow one (#2) to behave like that fast (#1). Is there a setting in FireFox that controls how the information is uploaded to the adjustable monitor?

Hi, sorry for this rant Doctordarryl independent.

I don't think that Firefox is aware of your monitors in a way that would result in the page automatically scroll (or load faster or slower).

Some users have identified problems on computers with switchable graphics (i.e., the computer can automatically switch between the graphics card Intel and ATI graphics card) which are solved by turning off the power so that Windows always uses the dedicated graphics card. You have this option?

Go to the device, active graphics card Manager - said it was ok. There was no monitor icon in the list. Updated graphics driver while there and rebooted. Still no monitor. Vista restored one week before the problem - same problem. Help please.

G ' Day Manasa P, problem solved! Unfortunately no you (not disrspect to you somehow). As I said no monitor icon in the Device Manager. Change the drivers of graphics for the standard vga drivers to fix the problem. reboot to normal. Device Manager should now list monitor. Load the drivers depending on monitor. Restart and load the drivers for the graphics card via Device Manager. reset. I hope that fixed the problem.
Thanks for your help, realize looking at the list of problems you have hard time, trying to unravel the problems of other people. That good luck.
Hope you can pass on my stationary and can save you time.

  • Cannot set external monitor like main window on T500

How can I configure my external monitor as the main in Vista window when it is connected to the docking station DVI port mini?
"My problem is that the check box ' this is my main monitor" is always disabled after having extended my desktop to monitor 4.

The external monitor is loaded as screen 4. (Screen 3 is the T500 and 1 & 2 is assigned to the internal Intel screen card that is not in use)

    Thank you
    Philippe

Vista because of grief in this regard and we have never seen a good answer about why.

The good news is the utility Thinkpad Presentation Director - fire just that upward and step through the wizard. It will allow you to set up your monitors as you wish and save it as a profile. In most of the situations that the configuration will be available when anchor you, but worst case are you just select the profile of the PD icon in the task bar (or the value of the checkbox to automatically apply whenever the laptop is connected).

I want to emphasize however that we have to make these options - the great victory is the ability to put primary watching for whatever reason Microsoft has grayed out in regular checkups.

    Best,

    Kevin

P.S. If you really don't want to see the configuration of four screens and that you will not use the switchable graphics in the BIOS you can set discrete graphics (only) display rather than switchable. You will still likely PD to define primary/Main.

PPS you should also be able to do through the ATI Catalyst Control Center, but in some cases that makes you stop more than the PD Assistant.

  • Virtual machine monitor problems

    Hello

I just installed VM because we want to monitor and confiure our IDS using this.

I installed it the "Cisco Correct way" which puts the monitor on a server and the Consol of Managament IDS on the other.

I added manually in all sensors in the management console, but when I look at the monitor-> device status, all 76 sensors I've added it says its 'not connected '.

I used the option that the monitor must pick up the sensor post office protocols.

I can PIng the sensors, ssh o sensor, etc, etc, etc, but this 'thing' always shows that he is "not connected".

Where should I start to get out of trouble?

    Thanks a ton

    Mike

    Hi Mike,.

You got the right answer in your message. The sensors should be referred to the Security Monitor box and not the MC that the events are sent to the SecMon and the post office runs between the sensors and the SecMon.

Log on to the sensor as root and run sysconfig-sensor, option 6 and enter the details of SecMon for the part ID Manager of this config.

    Thank you

    Christophe

  • Remove icon HP Digital monitor etc. of the systray and start-up

the HP Digital Imaging Monitor still load in my systray. I could with the right button, and then close it. Now I can't get out the systray. I don't need or want to run all the time. How can I prevent to load or delete/close it [not the program, only the loading at startup]?

Yes! After you restart the ocmputer, this little guy is gone.

  • Policy on NICs 1 Gb load balancing

I use 6 x 1 GB NIC on the blades.  I have 2 NICs on board and 4 network cards provided by a single Mezzanine Card.  I have chosen a strategy of load balancing.  In view of the provision below, is there a reason to use load teaming instead of road based on the source port ID-based? I am allowed to use the load to team up if I want to but I don't know if there is no reason in this scenario-based:

On Board 1 - Active MGMT, ensures vMotion

    2-edge - Production assets traffic

Mez 1 - Active backup traffic

MEZ 2 - Production assets traffic

Martin 3 - Active backup traffic

Mez 4 - Active vMotion, management standby

If you have a license for LBT, use it. It is the only real policy load balancing that it monitors the load each NIC on a team and balances accordingly if there is an overload in one of the network adapters. Route based on origin Port ID just spreads the VM on the uplink (round robin) and does not care if one of the uplinks is most used and a used sub.

I recommend using LBT on your Production and perhaps your backup traffic.

  • Suddenly V. slow start-up - how to remove the 'mouse Microsoft & detection (USB) keyboard driver?

OK, I have a common problem with starting my PC under Windows 7 64-bit. It was all pretty quick start for the last month or so that I had installed. Then it started to freeze for several minutes (anything from 5 minutes to 10 minutes) during boot to the Windows loading screen.

Since then, I tried different things so he can start normally once again, including the tings which should theorectically not affect him as they have all been there before this problem started and starting very well, this includes:

Looking at these latest material changes such as I added HD
Change the SATA disks on (I've got 3)
Get startup in MSconfig to use cores max (this is a quad core) & memory (4 GB)
By looking at the files bootlog (Nothing don't jump other than I apparently trying to load a couple of drivers twice - I have listed this morning at the bottom of this message for reference bootlog)
Recovering to a point a month before the problems started in the hope that it will be possible to uninstall the newer drivers that might be the problem, and that's where I noticed what I believe could be the cause, as seems to be the point where it went wrong.

I had added a Microsoft Mouse and keyboard and the WU offered an optional update from:

Microsoft Microsoft mouse - other hardware - & detection (USB) keyboard driver

After installation of this I'm pretty certain that the softstart right down, so I tried to uninstall it. Only I can't find a way to do it. Like when I do a restore of the system to a point before the driver install and the problem that occur, this is not the driver, that just seems to keep. I then uninstalled Intellipoint mouse and keyboard and re-installed mouse PS2 standard. At the same time, I removed my Microsoft Mouse Wireless USB keyboard &, all without effect. I restored my system again and I'll be back to what, according to me, the problem is who is the...

Microsoft Microsoft mouse - other hardware - & detection (USB) keyboard driver

But with no obvious way or to withdraw, I can't confirm that.

    Other notable points:
During the startup, the HD access is constant, so it works like crazy.
The keyboard will be insensitive to things like capslock or numlock if for the first six months of waiting, when NumLock is on and for the second half of waiting, when NumLock is off. I think that my default setting is for numlock off the coast.

Help, it's torture, especially when you see that the sub boots 10 seconds on the web.

    Cheers, Jamie.

OK a 2 TB disk format seems to cure the problem, or really a partial format because I got bored with the format after 6 hours as she possessed only at 3%, so I canceled and then quick formatting. Spin checkdisk on it now.

  • w2207 USB ports

My flat screen HP w2207 monitor has 2 USB ports on the side, but I can't determine whether or not they are powered.  I am trying to connect my IPod to one of the USB ports on the monitor for loading or synchronization with iTunes and nothing happens.  I am running Windows Vista on a Pavilion Elite M9510 and had no problems in the past with my IPod synchronization when you use one of the USB ports on the computer itself.

I can't find anything in the documentation for the monitor which mentions even USB ports.

Click on the link below and look at page 19 of 56.

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c00834092.PDF

The LCD has integrated usb ports (a usb hub), but it is not fed through power cable from the lcd screen. So instead, you must connect a usb cable from the USB in to any usb port on the pc tower to turn on and use these ports.

I would like to know if it works.

  • Artifacts from the computer - default - graphics Nvidia as horizontal rectangles updates who seek to be multiple colors on the screen

2 nights ago, my computer started having artifacts when trying to complete an operation, or when the startup graphics intensive (all 3 times or more).  I tried the memory tests, computer health and the tests of graphics card, all going to 'good '.  Which seems to be the question based on my research so far, it's the graphics of memory cards, but is based on an assumption without instruction.  The type of artifacts I feel are rectangles horizontal looking to be multiple colors when you use MSI Afterburner to monitor the load on the map, I have huge spikes "load", no changes in the temperatures of the card, whenever the problem occurs.

What can we do?  I need to replace my graphics card?  Power supply?  Some seemingly random driver?

The best solution, open "Event Viewer", see what the operating system said on the issues. Locate

the specific times, see the warnings/events, open them.

Moreover, if more data needs to be read on a specific error, R.click, save.then open

Word pad, or one of the other system utilities, 'open new' is the cmd, these

other utilities give more information about the event... Also, try to run, type: DXDIAG

Run the Direct x audio and video tests...

Follow-up session to access VPN group

It is possible to replicate the functionality provided by some RADIUS servers to limit the maximum number of connections to a specific server group and also to limit the number of simultaneous connections for users in this group. After that the user-defined thresholds are defined in each group VPN, connections will be refused until the counts go below these thresholds.

If you are using a RADIUS, such as the CiscoSecure ACS server, it is recommended to enable this session on the RADIUS server control if the feature is provided. In this way, its use can be controlled through a number of servers by a central repository. When you enable this feature on the router itself, only for groups on this specific device connections are monitored. Load sharing scenarios are not properly counted.

To configure the monitoring session using the command line interface (CLI), use the command for the crypto isakmp client configuration group and the subcommands max-users and max-connections .

Here is a sample output from pairs of RAY AV that have been added to the group concerned:

    ipsec:max-users=1000
    ipsec:max-logins=1

My gut tells me it's maybe a CUDA or OpenCL / OpenGL / DLL problem.

I had CUDA installed 8.0 for use with Octane render, but uninstalled and it makes no difference

maybe try a CUDA 7.0 installation? that would help? Any other suggestions?

    Hello tstopdigital420,

Is the GTX 980ti supported for H.264 encoding in Adobe Media Encoder or not? I thought I had read that it was, but maybe I'm wrong. IF not I'll talk accordingly.

Parenthesis - anyone knows of other software that supports rendering GPU accelerated by CUDA h.264?

I think you're under the false impression that the GPU speeds up encoding H.264 exports. It does not, but is a feature that is often requested.

Encoding is a process that focuses on the CPU in Premiere Pro and Adobe Media Encoder. The GPU accelerates certain elements in the entire export process, but not the encoding itself.

The GPU will accelerate what follows in the export process: scaling, conversion of the image, blending modes, deinterlacing and color space conversion. The GPU will also speed up the processing of GPU based video effects, including the effect of color Lumetri.

    Example:

    • If you are encoding a file of 4K in a file of HEVC H.265 4 K, the GPU acceleration is not involved in the export process because no scaling has been used.
    • If you are encoding a file of 4K in a file, H.264 HD, GPU acceleration is involved in the export process, because the scale was necessary.

If your GPU is disabled or "grayed out" and he has capable specifications, then this is another problem of troubleshooting.

    Thank you
    Kevin

  • X 200 freezes at welcome screen - will start in safe mode and then work after reboot

    How can I fix it?

that is the 'not a not load driver x' questions?

sincere friendships & thank you in advance for your answers and advice!

PS: and UM YES - of course I have NOT a CD Rom drive or anything of that sort...

    This is the illegal product:
