• Why can I access is more my hotmail account using firefox?

  Since this thing 'Windows Live' has been implemented, (ie: pushed to the bottom of the throat), got hurt continually access to my hotmail account using Firefox as your browser, until, from the past week or so can not access at ALL, unless I use IE. Everytime I turn on my laptop, I get the 'Windows Live Mssgr' box and must stop and that close. (Oh, I tried a few time just "go with the flow" and went forward and connected to Live Mssgr, and I was immediately HARASSED by dozens of 'contacts' I had NEVER heard of and had to spend the 5 minutes following or so playing whack-a-mole with the hordes of spamming, until the only way to stop him stopping once again.) I am NOT interested in LiveMssgr, Windows Live, or one of that truck, is what I'm interested to have access to my hotmail account, using ANY BROWSER, I JUDGE GOOD of USE!  I have already written on this time, but I was told I was in the wrong section, and I had to go in this section. (And of course, some worker drone MS came and he labeled as being "CORRECTLY answered"). WHY can I access is no longer my email using ANY other browser except IE; and WHY does microsoft keep pushing constantly to be the largest and most greedy aggressor on the block? .... Anyone? ....   Thank you for your message.  Try the following steps to disable Messenger from starting when you check your Hotmail account.

  1 open IE8
  2. click on 'Tools' > click 'Internet Options '.
  3. Select the 'Programs' tab > select 'Manage Add-ons '.
  4 show the Scriptures run without requiring permission (drop-down) and the specific entry that you want to disable is "Windows Live", which corresponds to the file \Program Files\WindowsLive\msgsc.14.0.8064.0206.dll and CLSID/Class ID is {E1771B7F-98BE-407F-BA67-AA16ADA5D0C5}. You may need to display different columns to find the exact (there will be several entries of 'Windows Live'). In IE8, you can also click twice on or do a right click > more info on each entry to all of the information to display.

  Once you have found it, click the button disable it and Messenger will be is more launched by all the Microsoft Web sites.

  * Be aware however that if/when Messenger is updated, this will need to be redone (and will be a different file and CLSID).

  I opened a new account hotmail 2 days ago, as the computer Windows 7 brand new did not support my Outlook Express email address existing. I then sent (or tried to) all my friends informing them of the change of address and almost immediately got blocked as a spammer. I came here yesterday and finally managed to get unlocked. If I had not had the intelligence to google the error message disturbing, I haven't discovered that I had been blocked at first. However, it now seems that I can only access my new hotmail address via messenger. Trying to enter directly via windows live mail results in a window that appears displays the new account and a former account hotmail of emergency set, even if I asked for the old one be closed yesterday. I want to just keep the new hotmail account and for the old disappear now and not have to wait 270 days or so that I didn't need it to be for 2 hotmail accounts. Settting upward the new hotmail email was more traumatic than other issues relating to the evolution of my computer. It is quite normal for a new account holder you need to send a lot of people immediately to inform them of his developments without such problems. Also, is there no way that holders hotmail account can contact hotmail to report any difficulties? I don't mind sharing my problems with others if it helps, but I'm unable to disclose specific information about my account.
