  It is possible to change the name of the printer, many customers buy more than one printer to a desktop environment and need to change the printer name to identify the printer.

• Now my HP Officejet Pro more will not print Photos or anything else!

  Here I am once more.  I finally solved the problem that I had been downloading the software for my HP printer after that I downloaded Windows 10.  I could not download any software without getting an error message 'download cancelled '.  I was able to print pictures and letters typed with WordPerfect X 6.  I'm embarrassed to say that I accidentally fell into the solution and now I can scan, send faxes again.  Yay!  Problem is NOW, I'm more able to print photos, or anything else!  I go through all the motions and send the message to the printer to print, but nothing happens.  I have already run the hppiw.exe and configure the printer.  When I try to run the HPPSdr.exe, he unzips the file, the printer appears as "installed" and click on the 'Next', I get a screen with 3 different ways to connect the printer to my computer - I choose USB because it'S the way I was connected.  Then I get a message telling me to do that my printer is on (it is)!  and try a different USB port (I have) or try another USB cable (I HAVE!)  OK, so FINALLY I get to the point where I am able to print on a HP Officejet Pro 8600 N911g series Print Page of Diagnostic quality, AND DOES IT!    But I also know there is a problem with the software and I need to uninstall and click the Support link and the Driver to download new software.  But when I click on the link, I'm told I'm not connected to the internet - here we are again.  I'm exhausted.  I am 65 years old and I've been at this for 96 hours.  I've corrected the problems of scanning, but now I can't print while yesterday I was able to do it!   Arrrrggggghhhhhh.

  I see that you can not print with your HP Officejet Pro 8600, on 10 of Windows, and I'm happy to help you!

  Please, try the steps in the following order:

  • Uninstall the software. Uninstalling the printer software.
  • Unplug the printer USB cable.
  • Clean boot the computer. How to perform a boot in Windows.
  • Disable all Antivirus programs. Disable Antivirus software.
  • Disable all firewall programs. The WF of end-to-end.
  • Create a new user account. Management of user accounts and connections (Windows 10).
  • Reinstall using the printer HP install wizard for Windows. (Wait for the software to tell you to plug in the USB printer cable).

  Then, run the HP print and Scan Doctor to verify that everything works.

• Rename more than one printer on the same network wireless

  I use a HP Officejet Pro 8500 a Premium. We have more than one printer in our office who will use the same WiFi.

  However, it is difficult for the end user to understand on which printer to use as they both are the same except for a random string at the end. We cannot find any rename them so that they can appear with a location. Is this possible?

  Via the Web Interface, go to the network and then select Hello in the menu on the right. You can then rename the printer to everything you love.

  While you're there, go to Internet Printing Protocol and change these settings for windows machines. Also, click the host name and change the host name so that it might be better in a windows workgroup.

  C4780 print but not scan thru Photosmart v9.7.11. OS X 10.4.11. C4780 connected by USB. HP poster printer as idle/utility. I have uninstalled/reinstalled the HP software and tried deleting and adding printer under prefs. printer & fax.

  Photosmart will open, I then click on scan, opens the app to scan, and then looking for scanner and is looking for the scanner.

  Any help would be appreciated. I am very frustrated.

  You can try completely uninstalling your software HP (it) this way:

  Go to Applications/Hewlett Packard / click Uninstall HP
  Click on continue
  Highlight your device in the left pane
  Hold down the Ctrl and Opt, as well as Apple and click on uninstall

  to the following:
  pProps.getOptions () .setPaperSize (pProps.getOptions (). PAPER_A3);

  and see if that solves your problem.

  The problem is that pProps.setOptions () overrides the printer that you set two or three statements earlier in the code.

• Photosmart C4780 - prints extra page even after update HP driver

  With the Mavericks (OS X 10.9.4) installed, I noticed that completed print jobs remain in the queue for my HP Photosmart C4780 Safari printing and preview.  If I want to print another (another page), I usually have to remove the previous work (100% full) of the queue so that the printer will print (I think remember that sometimes, with a Google Chrome browser, it is not necessary).  If I close the lid of my MacBook Pro (which goes to sleep) with a completed print job stays in queue HP, it will be then print again for a second time.

  Today, I installed the updated driver, but the problem has not disappeared when I tried to print from Safari and overview.

  WARNING - This will remove ALL your printers!

  Try a power reset if you haven't already and make sure that the printer is plugged directly into the wall, avoiding bars power and surge protectors. This ensures that the printer is full on.

  Reset instructions:
  Press the power button to turn the product on.
  With the product, unplug the power cord from the back of the product.
  Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  Wait at least 15 seconds.
  Plug the power cord into the wall outlet.
  Reconnect the power cord to the back of the product.
  If the product does not light by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.

  Also run Print and Scan your PC of Windows 8 doctor , chose the option "Print of difficulty" and let me know that say the results at the end try printing out in Notepad too and I would like to know if the page is empty, or print very well.

• Cannot install C4780 printer on Mac

  I'm trying to install my new printer Photosmart C4780 on my MacBook Pro, OX 10.6.  I downloaded the software for this version of Mac OS X (the CD has no support for 10.6).  At the beginning of the installation, I wonder for the device to install - but it cannot be found.  The instructions say DO NOT attach the cable USB front said to do, but even if I do that I can't find the device.  In addition, paper installation instructions say to follow the guide of Installer for easy wireless installation animation a button - but all this guide says is how to install printer cartridges.  I tried to reach the telephone technical support without result - especially get cut off by the system, but if I do not reach a real person, they tell me that they don't support Macs (even if I take the Mac option when selecting meny).  So, I can not install the printer (and scan) and can get no information on what to do.
