  Just moved my hard drives and data to new Windows 8 System. They had been in an XP system - none were never drives on the system. I put a solid state in machine it's like my C drive, and I had a smaller State such in my XP machine.

I don't know what to do, I'd be more than happy to reformat, but I have to delete it before doing this and I really don't want to lose all my documents. Is there a solution to this problem other than to lose all my documents and reformat the hard drive?

I did a system restore recently - saved on an external hard drive usb, nine 1 to seagate backup more - now after fighting with 124 updates hard disk is not recognized. Seagate has say the drivers are pre installed in windows. convenience stores never work - I find the trouble shooters are almost always useless - is this just me?

This transfer has been filed since an iMac 21 "2011 with an SSD (with almost the same speed read/write than the box) so it's quite disappointing.
