Mountain Lion drivers?

I have a Photosmart C309a and a Color LaserJet 2550 L and the need to know if there are, or will never be a disc for Mountain Lion (Mac OS 10.8) who will give me the same print, scan and copy functions that I in the older operating system.   I know that these printers are relatively old, but I'd like to continue to use their and apparently not a great demand for usable drivers/software for the latter.

Thank you.

Hello

I think that what you're asking, is, there will always be a "Full feature" driver available for OS X 10.8.

I can't speculate if there will be, or perhaps will be a complete driver of features developed.

However, you should be able to follow the instructions of installation by using Apple Software Update and still be able to use the printer with a built in the Apple software.

    Hello

According to http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01664444 it doesn't seem to be a software and drivers for the LaserJet Pro M1132 MFP.

    When will they be available?

I read in http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03427752 that "today, a solution for your printer is not available for the Mountain Lion. However, an update of the driver will be available in fall 2012 . "Since it's already winter 2012, a solution will be available before January 2013?

    Hi Chun Pong,

Seems to download the software I mentioned before has been deleted. This means that a new driver will be downloaded.

Please visit the site from time to time if a new software is available. I'll keep an eye as well and provide an update here, if the new software can be downloaded. It may take a few days.

  • After upgrading to MAC Mountain Lion, the drivers for my HP C4680 were removed (accidentlly)

After upgrading to MAC Mountain Lion, the drivers for my HP C4680 have been deleted (accidentally). I downloaded the drivers from HP, but my Macbook it not install because the drivers are not available on Mac Store. How can I get the printer installed?

    Hello

First of all, make sure you restart your Mac, and then try to add the printer again.

If it persists, ensure that the USB port directly connected to your Mac and not via a USB hub or extention.

Ensure that the USB is not longer than 2 m and check to see if that can help you.

Also, if you have an iMac, be sure to plug the USB in the port at the back of the Mac and not in the Apple keyboard, which is not powered.

Also, try to reset the printing system, then try to add the printer and check any changes:

    * Be aware that reset the printer system will eliminate any existing queue and reset all custom settings driver.

Click on the Apple menu and then click on System Preferences.
    Select Print & Scan.
Right click (or Ctrl + click) your product with the Printers list in the left panel and then click on reset printing system.
Click OK to confirm the reset.
Type your user name and password.
Click OK. The printing system resets.

Now, click on the Plus sign and try to re-adding the printer.

If none of the steps above does not lead to any progress, go to the library and place the HP folder to the trash.

Enter PPD\Contents\Resources, search for C4600 and move the files to the trash, then try to add the printer again.

    Hope that helps,

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 drivers more Mountain Lion? Help!

I just bought this new printer 2 weeks ago.  Connected very well wireless to my PC Windows 7, but never worked precisely with my MacBook Pro w/OS X Lion.  I uninstalled the software and just right IP printing configuration and that would work sporadically.  Three days ago I installed the developer preview to OS X Lion mountain.  Basically seems to look and act exactly like the Lion, with the exception of a few iOS as characteristics.  Anyway, I sat down to try to reinstall the software of HP for OS X site and I bark at told me he does not for this OS.  What I could do to get the software and driver installed, or?  I really want to use all the features of this new printer such as the scan function.

If someone could please help it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks, Dave

Yes, it is better to update the old Mac EC.

Make sure that you back up the old Mac before the upgrade.

Note the application of some may require updated to work with CBS. To check see it:

    https://roaringapps.com/apps

Also, some devices may require updated drivers and for some devices such drivers do not exist.

  • Officejet 5610 and Mountain Lion

Does anyone know if my Officejet 5610 all-in-one ' old' work if I update to Mac OS 10.6 to 10.8 (Mountain Lion)? Is there a driver?

    Thank you!

    Sheryl

    Hi sheryl,

Yes, the drivers are available via Apple Software Update.

There is no need to install any software of HP.

Make sure the printer is powered on and connected to your PC, and then follow the steps below to install the printer:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03378792

  • OfficeJet 6500 and mountain lion

I installed mountain lion and now my officejet 6500 will not print, or it prints, but after an hour or two after the print job is sent.

I deleted the driver and reassembled using the apple software update, the problem persists. Any ideas out there?

    Ok

Try to update the drivers by clicking on the icon Apple and then software update, restart and check any change.

If there is no change don't try to install the package below:

    http://support.Apple.com/kb/DL907

If the problem persists, make sure that the USB port used is not longer than 2 m long, with direct links to a MAc and not through a hub USB or extension.

In case you have an iMac, make sure to plug the USB at the back of the Mac and not in the keyboard port which is not powered.

    It will be useful,

  • M1536dnf scanning on Mountain Lion

I have a new MacBook Air comes with Mountain Lion.

I have an existing M1536dnf all in one.  I use the fax machine, but all the other functions work well with two Windows 7 computers.  Several iOS devices print correctly using AirPrint.

The M1536dnf is connected via Ethernet connected to the network.  It has a static IP address.  Other devices connect to the network wired or wireless depending on current needs.

The new MacBook Air automatically discovered the M1536dnf as a 'close printer."  When the printer has been added drivers have been downloaded automatically by using default settings.  Printing works fine.

The first time I tried to analyze the use of the MacBook Air, the system responded that scan drivers have not been installed (paraphrasing) and that they could be downloaded.  They automatically downloaded and installed.  Scan did not work however.  The computer has reported that it was impossible to open a session with the device (again, sorry paraphasing).

    I have:

    restarted the computer

    power cycle the printer

updated the printer for the current firmware

Tried scanning from an extract, Capture of Image and the dialog box print in system preferences

Remove and reinstall the device on the MacBook multifunction

reset the printing on the MacBook and reinstalled system device

tested using copy on the device

    test scanning from another computer

tried to install the driver package hp downloaded from the hp Web site (minimum selected during installation)

In all cases, I received the "cannot open a session error" of the MacBook.  In all cases, the unit has worked well for Windows.

Finally, I restored the MacBook Air from a backup and reinstalled only the Apple print drivers.  I thought that scanning could not wait another day.

I have a good amount of experience with networking and Windows.  I'm a new guy with the Mac and OS X.  Any guidance would be appreciated.  Is it possible that the combination of the new firmware, new OS and new managers just is not mature yet and the problem will be solved in a few months of patience?

Thanks a lot for your expertise!

In the end, I finally solved this problem by resetting the M1536dnf its default factory settings. I believe that this has changed two settings to their default values: IO time-out was 30 and is now in 120 seconds, and SNMP has been disabled and is now enabled again.

It is certainly plausible that the scan drivers can use SNMP to query the properties of the scanner and that disabling SNMP caused this problem.

In any case, I now use the driver "LaserJet M1536dnf MFP" I chose manually during the installation of the printer in the print & scan and that was then automatically downloaded from Apple as part of the installation.  Print shops. Scanning works printing & scanning and Capture of Image. The absence of support TWAIN means scanning does not work in Acrobat Professional X.

  • How to install (not updated) of my HP LaserJet 1020/1022 on Mountain Lion

    Hi guys,.

I am trying to install my HP LaserJet 1020 on my new Mountain Lion anyway I am not able to find a driver! HP web page to the specific address says I can "Refresh" this printer by using the Apple software update anyway I don't see any update or installation on it.

With the previous version of the operating system was possible to download a .dmg for HP LaserJet 1022. I tried to download and install the driver for Snow Leopard in any case I do not see any entry when I try to select a driver for my printer during the installation phase (the list contains only two very generic drivers for HP printers).

    Thanks for your time!

    Hello

The Laserjet 1020 officially is not compatible with Mountain Lion, however, try to use the following workaround:

Install the HP Printer Drivers 2.9 package by clicking on the download button below:

    http://support.Apple.com/kb/DL907

After completing the installation, go to System Preferences > print & fax.

Click on the sign more and select the printer.

If you still see a generic driver selected, click the menu drop-down use and then click Select printer software.

In the list, select the HP Laserjet 1022 and add the printer.

Now try printing using the configured queue.

    Kind regards

  • HP officjet 7500 has mac osx mountain lion

Three weeks ago, I bought a HP OfficeJet 7500 a AIO printer. I have an iMac and MacBook Pro computer both running Mac OSX Mountain Lion 10.8.4.

I tried to install the printer, connect to my router by Ethernet cable and iMac after a lot of frustration and Wifi the printer has been identified and I printed a document successfully.

The next day, after it off the computer at night, I tried to print without success. I reinstalled the printer and print a document. The same thing happened every day! Then I found this file on HP's Support site: HP_Mountain_Lion_Ink_SW_v12.23.18 and I successfully installed and print a document.

Today, once more, the iMac can't find the printer! I followed the instructions over and over again and as I client I'm frankly NOT interested if it's a problem of HP Apple or Apple HP problem. Mountain Lion OS has been available for years as a printer. It's also a shame that when you buy an HP printer new at Office Depot in Israel that you get an obsolete installation disc!

Surely someone at HP does not have an iMac with Mountain Lion and is ready to take the problem to solve the problem or HP he expects visitors to reinstall the printer every day?

I don't hold my breath that a response from the HP HP. doesn't have its customers when Windows 8 is out with drivers for laptops and it seems that HP is not always interested in the customer service!

    You are welcome Frank,.

Try to access the web page of your router, then go to Advanced > Network Tools and enable IGMP Snooping:

    http://screenshots.PortForward.com/routers/Dlink/DSL-6740U/IGMP.htm

URL of the router is the gateway listed for your printer listed in the summary of the network cable to the printer.

Then restart the router and check if that can help by using the Hello-add print queue, which is of course assuming that everyhing works fine using the queue of Jetdirect-socket

  • Impression of failure of communication with Mac Mountain Lion and Photosmart c7280

I have flowed through many messages about the printing and problems of Mountain Lion (10.8.3) faults and cannot get the answer I need.  I use this printer (HP Photosmart c7280) very well with the Lion of mountain for several months now and just recently have had problems printing.  I can scan very well, but printing is another story.  I deleted the printer, re-installed, restarted, unplugged, replugged, reset the printing system, deleted and reinstalled the drivers, ad nauseam!  I don't know what the problem is.  I am connected with a USB cable.  I send a print job, it can get 30 to 67% of the way sent and start printing and then I get this error: failure to communicate: the computer is therefore more able to communicate with your printer. Turn off the printer, check your printer connections and look for errors in the printer and turn on the printer.
Check the printer to find errors.

I just tried to install the new driver and new hpprinterdrivers2.14 and they used to install.

Today, I can't get more than one or two lines to print before it stops.  I don't know what else to try.  Help, please!

    Hello

First make sure that the material can print without problems by printing a test page:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01448018

In addition, have you tried plugging the USB stick on another free port of your Mac?

Be sure to use a USB 2.0 standard, not longer than 2 m long cable.

Make sure it is directly connecting to your Mac and not through a USB extention or a hub port on an Apple keyboard, which is not powered.

So I recommend you try a different USB cable, then check any change.

  • Setting up wireless after the installation of Mountain Lion

I have recently upgraded to Mountain Lion on my Mac Book Pro and am trying to set my HP Photosmart C4780 to print wireless via a USB cable.  I don't want to use WPS.  The problem is that the drivers were supposedly downloaded with Lion mountain and all of my research on the web, I agree that if I implement wireless using a USB cable, I need to do when installing the printer software.  When you try this a few days ago, the instructions I found said first to check for software updates by using the Apple app store.  I did and I got a message saying "no updates available".  After many hours trying to solve my problem, I finally gave up.  Today, however, while I was working on my laptop, I have message came up saying that the drivers for my printer HP were available.  I pressed the button install.  I tried to set up my printer with no luck.  Can someone give me some suggestions on what do I do please?  Thanks in advance.

In fact I already had on WPA.  I solved the problem and your initial solution was certainly helpful.  The problem was that by using the "Reset default" button does not seem to reset it.  I actually had to reset by a method that that is on this link.  http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/printer-networking-and-wireless/can-t-see-the-hpsetup-network-on-my-MacBook-Pro-on-a-C4780/TD-p/193900  I appreciate your help.  He led me in the right direction.

    Hello

I'm not not clear with your exact printer model, it is the printer Deskjet 3050 a (J611) or model 3050 (J610) ?

For the Deskjet 3050 J610- a complete software not available at this time.

As there is no comprehensive software available for Mountain Lion, you will need to set up a temporary ad hoc connection and then use the EWS printer to connect the printer to your router.

    • Press the button on the control panel wireless to display the options menu on the screen of the printer wireless.
    • Select on the screen of the printer's wireless settings, then Netowrk default settings.
    • Under the same wireless and select Radio wireless and make sure to put it on.
    • From your Mac, click the WiFi icon and then click on join another network.
    • Click view networks, select the printer SSID, it will include 3050 or J610 in its name, then click on join.
    • Allow 2-3 minutes to establish the connection.
    • Open Safari and click on the favorite icon ().
    • Hello-click and then click on the name of the printer, the EWS page appears.
    • Enter the network tab.
    • Less wireless (802.11) click Wireless Setup Wizard and then click Start the wizard and follow the steps on the screen to configure the wireless connection.
Note: If you must provide the type of security for your wireless network, you can click the WiFi icon, click Network Preferences and select the Wi - Fi network. Click Advanced, and you will find the type of security for your network in the Wi - Fi tab.
    • Once the wizard of wireless via the integrated Web server configuration is complete, click the Wi - Fi of your Mac and you connect to your router again.

Finally, go to System Preferences > print & Scan and add the printer. confirm all calls to get the drivers from Apple servers

For the Deskjet 3050 has (J611), be sure to connect the printer with a USB port and follow the installation below:
