  The task bar is the horizontal bar at the bottom of your screen time. In contrast to the office, which can get obscured by the windows on top of it, the taskbar are visible nearly all the time. It includes four main sections:

  ·         The Start button, which opens the start menu.

  ·         The Quick Launch bar, which allows you to start programs with a single click.

  ·         The middle section, which shows you what programs and documents you have open and allows you to quickly switch between them.

  ·         The notification area, which includes a clock and icons (small pictures) that communicate the status of certain programs and computer settings.

  Add or remove programs on the Quick Launch toolbar

  The Quick Launch toolbar is located on the task bar and is a convenient way to open programs. You can add or remove program icons in the Quick Launch toolbar so that you have easy access to the programs that you use frequently.

  To add a program icon to the Quick Launch toolbar

  Click the icon for the program to add (you can find most icons of programs on the start menu or the desktop) and then drag it to the Quick Launch toolbar.

  Note: If you don't see the toolbar tools quick launch, right-click on an empty area of the taskbar, click Toolbars, and then click quick launch.

  To remove a program to the Quick Launch toolbar icon

  Right-click on the icon of the program and then click Remove.

  Notes: ·         Delete an icon from the taskbar does not remove its corresponding computer program.

  ·         If you want to stop showing a toolbar on the taskbar, right-click an empty area of the taskbar, point to toolbars, and then click the item that you want to stop broadcasting.

  NOTE: The ability to move the programs in the taskbar is not possible in windows Vista but the same functionality is available in Windows 7. Please see the link below.

• Installing vCenter 5.5 on a domain controller for Win2k12

  Hello everyone,

  I hope someone can help me with what I'm trying to do in my lab at home at little cost (laptop running nested esxi). As suggested by the topics, I try to install SSO, Web Client, the inventory Service and vCenter Server on a Win2k12 that will be a domain controller. What I've done so far (in addition to pull my hair):

  1. install and activate Win2k12

  2. install vCenter using Simple installation

  3. change ports for LDAP / SSL to 3899 and 6369 accordingly (instead of 389 year 636)

  4 adding roles DC, DHCP and DNS

  5 try to promote the domain controller in a new forest = FAILURE because the required ports are already in use, in particular send me questions is 88 port used by the kdc vmware service. As soon as I kill / uninstall VMware SSO, I can promote the server to a domain controller, but then I can not connect to vCenter more.

  Any idea / help will be very appreciated!

• How can I move files and leave a shortcut.lnk pointing to the new location.

  I'm trying to move only a TON of old files to a hard drive to free up space to backup.  I can't empty just them, it's a working environment with integrated (and archaic) process.  They must be able to find the new files without go hunting for them.  How can I move all the files that has not been changed since 2 years and leaves a link behind that points to the new location?

  I used successfully a utility call NoClone.  The goal is to search for duplicate files, but it has a way to specify any search string (date function as you requested) and then move all files to a new location, leaving behind .lnk files

  I used it to clear space on file shares, any movement toward a archive read-only stored on a NAS that gets backed up once per year.  In this way, nothing changes on the NAS of the end user (no need to save often).  If you need to edit the file, they copy him on its original location.

  Looks like a job for the cleaning tool: Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat tool - Adobe Labs.

  If you prefer XI player, make sure that "Install updates automatically" is not enabled under Edit > Preferences > Updater. It is possible to download and apply patches manually.

  DC and P2V = Don t do, since there is absolutely no guarantee that the DC P2Ved work. I had horrible experience during a migration of a data center to a new provider, the provider told us that P2V would be perfectly viable and that they had done several times. So ultimately they tested migration P2V, everything worked. Then, the day of the passage to the they did it again and AD did not come to the top.   (1) Please open your PDF in Acrobat / Reader DC.

  (2) choose the right comment tool.

  

  (3) all tools comment will appear at the top as shown in the screenshot below.

  

  (4) select the one circled to highlight the text. You can also check the name of the tool to your mouse hovering over him.

  Keeping in mind that I'm strictly a Windows user elements, here is how I would do this task in Elements Organizer 9.

  Please review and take into account to determine if the following would apply to your organizing elements 9 Mac.

  Given that you have your files in a folder on an external hard drive, and the files in this folder were previously imported in Elements Organizer 9

  starting from there.

  1 copy the contents of the folder to the new location on the internal hard drive.

  2 remove the folder that was on the external hard drive. (As safety net, transfer the file original external hard drive to a USB flash drive or another

  removable device) to get off the computer.

  3. open the Organizer items 9. Go to file Menu/reconnection and let the program do the reconnection.

  In this type of situation, you cannot use the file Menu / "Copy/move to removable disk" because this is going the wrong

  direction for you.
