  • How can I move contacts from an iPhone to an ipad?

How can I move contacts from my daughter from his iPhone on his iPad. I need to do this via iPad and iPhone that our computer just died. My daughter has no e-mail. Recently, I added my email on his iPad to check my mail. I then deleted the email. I myself remember that I received a message saying the removal of the email would be to delete all contacts. I deleted the email anyway. Unfortunately, the iPad doesn't have contacts. In addition, our family sharing an Apple ID I have my contacts on my iPhone and iPad, as I have my email on both devices. I just need to know if there is an easy way to move telephone contacts on the iPad.

You can use AirDrop. You will need to do each contact one at a time, but that work. Just activate AirDrop on each device, select the contact, and then select share contact. Hope that helps.

  • Have just iPhone 4S. Can't sync contacts from my iMac/iPad?

I try to sync the Contacts from my iPad and iMac for my newly purchased (used) iPhone 4S. When I go to iTunes on Mac, I offer "iPhone sync" and then nothing happens.  I guess it's possible? The Mac has v 10.11.16, and the iPhone has 9.3.5.

It doesn'[t seem to work in the opposite diurection either - I added a few contacts in the iPhone and they do not appear in the Contacts on the Mac.]

    Sync works with Notes, well.

    Any help is appreciated!

You can use iCloud to synchronize Contacts.

On the iPhone and the iPad: settings > iCloud > Contacts on

On Mac: Apple menu > System Preferences > iCloud > Contacts on

All changes to the contacts on any device should automatically synchronize with others.

  • BlackBerry smartphones move contacts from a nokia, the BOLD 9700 phone

    Dear Sir.

How can I move the contacts of your Nokia for the Bold9700

    Best regards

    Thanks in advance.

It all depends on WHERE the nokia phone contacts are located in the phone's memory?

So, if Nokia phone has a micro usb port (does?) use Desktop Manager > switch device Wizard.

If this isn't the case, then you might need to find the forum a users Nokia to determine how you can export contacts from nokia on your computer in the form of an ASCII text file so that you can import this file into Outlook via BlackBerry Desktop Manager.

Still another way would be to use miQLive.com > download your contacts from phone nokia on this site, and then install miQlive on your BlackBerry and restore this site to your BlackBerry contacts.

    Good luck.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not move contacts from 9000 to 9800

My old BB 9000, or more likely, DM 6.0 organize my contacts on my old phone hostage!

I had my 9800 yesterday and tried to run the Wizard "device." Everything looks good, no errors, everything works... then I have open Contacts and it is empty. Look at my old camera, everything is still there. Try the synchronization again and again, no luck. Trying to back up "All contacts" on 9000 then just that give back to 9800, does not work.

I think the problem is that on the 9000, I see three "lists of contacts" - two named Desktop and the other with my gmail address. It appears in fact as those associated with the gmail address move okay - except that only one contact is associated with this account! The rest seems to be distributed randomly among the other two inputs of funds.

I have tried everything I can think to manually backup/recover contacts from the old phone, but no matter how I try to sync, I don't the addresses associated with the gmail account or when I restore what seems to be a 'complete' backup all contacts disappear.

A side note, I didn't want/need to keep these contacts separate so if there is a way to merge together to solve as magically I will gladly do - unfortunately entered KB talking about this all reference ridiculously old versions of the software, so I don't know how to do with DM6 and the 9800.

It's ridiculously frustrating. Permutation of devices was such a breeze and a grand more for me in the past, who would have thought that RIM would make it more difficult/worse?

Let me know if I can give you more info!

Well, 3 days it took me to solve this problem, quite poor of general RIM experience - I hope that someone is watching. Here is the solution I found, based on the process here: http://www.berryreview.com/2010/06/03/faq-duplicate-desktop-or-unknown-contact-list-databases-found-...

Original problem - several book entries of "Desktop" addresses on my old phone, which apparently caused problems when you use the DM6 ' device' Wizard.

    Resolution:

    (1) of peripheral origin, take a backup and select only contacts 'Address Book - All.

    (2) Download ABC Amber Blackberry Editor (why I need a 3rd party tool to use my new phone!) as mentioned in the article.

    (3) open the .ipd file that contains the address book - all entries, do a save as and put them in a new file - they are now simply part of the primary address book.

    (4) this is where I spread article above - still, restore that backup on my new phone doesn't work but restore on my OLD phone actually. If that's what I did.

    (5) I reactivated my old phone on BES then used wireless sync to synchronize the address book to the server.

    (6) to the new phone, activate on BES and turn on the wireless sync, and voila, I have my address on my new phone... FINALLY.

The obvious answer here is ' well, if you had the wireless sync works properly in the first place that probably would have been avoided "which is quite true. However, as it is a personal device that I use to work for e-mail only, the camera itself has always been the source of my address information and it sync to my business account has been low on my priority list. I thought that saw DM configured to make weekly backups (which still occur whenever I plug in my phone, regardless of whether or not - a week spent yet another problem with shit DM6) would be sufficient coverage of the information available to me.

I hope someone finds this useful info and should not suffer through 3 days of hair pulling as I did.

  • Transfer contacts from iPhone to iPad 2 Air

How can I transfer contacts iPhone 5 c for iPad 2 air. The phone and iPad have the last iOS.

It depends on how you manage your contacts. If you use iCloud, then you would sign in with the same ID to iCloud on devices and check Contacts on both devices. If you use another cloud service, same thing. If you use an application supported on the computer, such as Outlook, you would then synchronize the two devices to this computer, after checking the contacts in iTunes.

  • Smartphones blackBerry how to move contacts from e-mail to e-mail?

Since my old email had been hacked and blocked, so I created the new email and it was also check in blackberry device.  But all my old contacts lists are all listed as entries of my new email.  So, I would like to know is possible to move all my contacts list to my new email entries?

Unless you use the wireless sync option, which is only available with BlackBerry Enterprise Server, GMail, Hotmail or Yahoo, BlackBerry contacts are not attached to a specific e-mail account.  If you have a backup of your old BlackBerry device, you can restore it to your current using the BlackBerry Desktop Software.

    Thank you

  • Migrating contacts from Windows to Mac

One of my friends decided to make a Macbook.  the only thing that worries him is to get all contacts in Contacts on the Mac and the windows 10 machine.  Anyone who can help?

    Hello, Nils1406.

    Please visit Apple support communities.

I understand you want to help your friend to move contacts from a Windows computer to a MacBook.  There are several ways that this is possible and I will include a few options.  Without knowing how those contacts are managed on the PC or if they are be synchronized directly with a personal information manager, I can't recommend the easiest option.  Your friend has the possibility of using the Migration Wizard, which will transfer the personal data and files from one to the other.

Move your data from a Windows PC on a Mac

They can also allow iCloud transfer of information from one device to the other wireless.

With iTunes Sync Photo, you can copy the albums selected to your library of Photos of the iPhone or the iPad.

See: Sync photos to your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch in iTunes - Apple Support

But this method is available, if you use not iCloud photo library on your mobile device.

An IMAP email account to synchronize on all devices accessing the account. If you only want to send on a device, use a pop account.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones move all Contacts from the SIM?

I'm changing to a 9700 for a 9790. I have a ton of contacts in the internal memory of the old phone and need to move all the way to the SIM card so I can pass the info on the new phone. Is there a way to copy all the contacts at once on the SIM card? Otherwise, I'll spend a week moving one by one.

    Hi jgazolm

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums

Not on our smartphone BlackBerry you can not copy all Contacts from a SIM card at the same time, if you want to copy you make one because the BlackBerry address book is much more robust it will be a different arrangement with a resource person and several areas of information (phone cell phone, work phone, home phone, e-mail address, etc.) while the SIM card SIM card allows only one entry per phone number.

KB04205 : copy a Contact to your address book to the SIM phone.

You go from 9700 to 9790 option switch device Wizard will use BlackBerry Desktop Software it will transfer all your data from your old phone to the new.

KB23677 : How do I switch using BlackBerry Desktop Software devices.

  • Move data from a contact to a CDO field field

I want to capture information about the contact table, and then move it to a designated CDO. Is this possible? I checked around and I could not see an easy way to perform this task.

I think the idea is to wait until after the CDO is created, then send the contacts from the connector of cloud to submit form to have a form that is submitted to these contacts and use processing step of the forms "Update Custom Data Object - with Form Data" on the form target to write the data in ORDER. You will need to check that you have the ID of CDO in a contact field that you can submit to the form.

And by the way, that's what I was going to suggest too, I think it's the best way to do.

  • How to remove Photos from the iPhone/iPad/iCloud and no pictures

How to take a photo with my iPhone/iPad, allow it to synchronize with Photos on my Mac via iCoud, then delete from my iPhone/iPad/iCloud and removes any Photos on Mac? I want to save the photo on your computer and save space on small devices?

I keep seeing articles on the iCloud market turn but it seems the photos all return on the devices once restarted. I want to iCloud on use as a conduit to get the photos to my computer, not as a large storage space. I want the Photos app on my Mac where all the photos are filled and stored and choose those which is left each device.

Right now they are all in the pictures on the Mac, but I'm worried if I remove it from my iPhone/iPad that they will disappear from Photos on the Mac. I don't understand the new Photos app with all the missing features of iPhoto.

    Thank you!

You can not that's not how works iCloud photo library - it is not a conduit but a total synchronization service whose entire raison d'etre is to keep libraries connected identical - all changes made on any device (addition, deletion or modification) are made on all devices. For devices with limited memory, using optimized photos

If this isn't what you want then use another service - USB import, iTunes sync, MyPhotoStream for example each do different things and everyone can move photos from one device to another

And Photos lack a lot of features iPhoto form - in fact much more features than iPhoto including iCloud library there like a bigger and better editing capability and better external editing capability and so on

  • Restore the Contacts from Iphone restore

I'm very frustrated by that.  I had to do a total restore my Iphone 5 as a result of an error in the former area software and storage being gone.  I backup of the phone before doing this, but that the backup is worth nothing because to restore the previous backup would return to restore the bug in the software again.  So I basically had to a do a new restoration of the phone and gradually bring only my necessary stuff on the phone.  I can't seem to get the contacts and calendar, that I had to come back and I see on Itunes there is a place to synchronize those.  Still when I sync them they are not restored.  My contacts have some inside information, but lack of contacts.  Those who are there are missing phone # s and addresses e-mail.   I can see the calendar and contacts that they were originally on my Ipad so I know that they are at least there.  Are not the contacts and calendars supposed to migrate in Icloud and update all my Apple devices (I have a Mac Pro too) so that they are compatible?  If there are some parameters jiving not somewhere I'm lost as to what to do and what devices for all works in harmony.

My plan is to do a backup of my phone after I put everything so that I have a clean backup, that is not a bug in there and has all the correct information.

    Hello heffmonster,

Thanks for this info and choosing the communities Support from Apple. I know how important getting your contacts on your iPhone is to you! From what you said, it seems you maybe problems with having the correct accounts added to your iPhone after you restored, since you mentioned that the lack of contacts are on your iPad. You asked if iCloud syncs contacts, and he does, but only those in iCloud. iCloud will not synchronize contacts that are related to other accounts, such as Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, etc. I check what are the accounts on your iPad and make sure your iPhone has the same ones added correctly. This article can help explain more about the use of Contacts on your iPhone:
