Finger remains open does not work

I am very concerned by exhaust on my 6s iphone home button so I put "Rest finger to open" but it doesn't work? Am I supposed to do something else?

Just to clarify - when you say that it does not work you can answer with more details.

If the phone is locked, you must physically, press the home button or the sleep/wake button and then rest your finger on the button Home. If you physically push the Home button, it should wake up and unlock the phone in virtually a single step, as the press wake up the phone and the finger being almost immediately this button indicates the contact id and unlocks the phone. Note that before iOS 10 physical pressure on one of the buttons was also required.

    Did you uninstall the driver of the fingerprint in before Device Manager?

    To use the download I you provided, you will need to uninstall the driver again.

    • Open the Device Manager
    • Search for biometric devices
    • Under biometric devices, look for the device (called Validity Sensor sensor AuthenTec)
    • Right-click on the fingerprint sensor
    • Click on uninstall
    • Restart your computer.

  • WiFi button remains orange / does not work

    My HP Pavilion Notebook PC g4 has trouble with the WiFi button. Usually, the button remains orange and does not respond by pressing. Rarely, when I turn on the laptop, the button is blue, but the laptop freezes as soon as I try to do anything. I tried to do a hard reset, update driver, uninstall the device in Device Manager, and nothing worked.

    Yes, I think it would be the only other choice you have.

    Try two things before buying a replacement card:

    1. do a hard reset of the laptop to see if it gets the card appears.

    2. Remove and reinsert the current wireless card.  Maybe an oxidized connection?

    If the steps above fail to get the wireless card appears, then I just get the part number and order the same.

    The part number will normally be on a sticker white and arranged as such: #-#.

    It is very important that purchase one of wireless cards supported listed in the service manual for your laptop (Chapter 3).

    They must be part of HP on the map number or it will not work.

    If the replacement of the wireless card fails to correct the problem, the motherboard has failed somehow.

  • Finger print reader does not work after upgrade to Windows 8 Pro - DM4 2055BR

    I updated my previous Windows 7 to Windows 8 Pro Edition and the Finger Print Reader no longer works. Validity software driver is already installed more simple pass, but when I run the Easy Pass it pops up the message "the drive is not connected, connect the drive.

    I noticed one lot of other posts related to the same issue, but I don't know if the model of my laptop does not support the new version of the operating system.

    I appreciate if someone could help me with this problem.

    When start you / see: Easy going on?

    You may be running HP SimplePass Version 8.0.0.57 or some other SimplePass 8.x?

    ======================================================================================

    You can run HP SimplePass Version 6.x later on your computer.  You may also be able to get SimplePass version 8.x if you want to stay with this version to work.  It's a personal choice, really - either version should be able to work on Windows 8 Pro.

    Note that the version 8.x SimplePass seems to dislike everyone, but the Internet Explorer browser. This is a personal observation and NOT what can known by other users.  If you use IE, then the point is moot.

    You can probably keep your existing driver of the fingerprint (Validity Sensor in the Device Manager) as long you run the version compatible with Windows 8, illustrated to the webpage of your computer driver:

    If you tell the AuthenTec link for the 6.0.100.620 old version of HP SimplePass, it is probably closed.  AuthenTec has been picked up by Apple last year, and they are «not more»  The drivers are still in the area - the name depends on the original software / driver source code.

  • HP G6 2225TU finger singal roll does not

    m using HP G6, 2225TU, Win7 x 64.

    It seems that you are having problems with the functionality of scrolling one finger of the touchpad, after having done a restore of your laptop. I will try to help you with this.

    First make sure that the drivers are current, you can do this with the HP Support Assistant.

    So take a look to see if this can help: use and configure the TouchPad (Windows 7 and Vista).

    If those who do not work, try to go into Device Manager and uninstall the driver, reboot the laptop.

    4135 printer with XP.  Worked fine for about 1 year. Now by clicking on the icon to open does not work. Reinstalled 3 times. The printer is recognized, but the problem persists. No error message not developed.

  • 4 finger swipe does not work under macOS Sierra!

    Hey all, I upgraded to macOS Sierra and noticed that one of my function used more regularly on Mac OS, 4 finger swipe to switch between desktop computers does not work! Mine is an April 2011 MacBook Pro.

    Earlier, 2 fingers sliding back in the files, similar to switching back and forward for the Web pages in Safari, has been abandoned without reason penetrable. I hope that's not the same fate for 4 finger swipe to switch between desktops.

    I probably use hundreds of times every day for switching between desktop computers because I have safari, MS Word and open the mail outside of iTunes on separate workstations. I hope that a fix is released soon!

  • Finger scanner does not work

    My scanner on my HP Envy 17 finger - laptop Whatever has worked since I got it, but this morning, something went wrong. I read your post on the Forums of HP Support. I wanted to join you and help! I understand that the scanner on your laptop computer finger printing does not work correctly. You mentioned you tried to solve the problems already adding new fingerprints, but that they still do not work.

    Have you tried to update the driver in Device Manager? If this isn't the case, please follow these steps:

    • Open the Device Manager
    • Search for biometric devices
    • Under biometric devices, look for the device (called Validity Sensor sensor AuthenTec)
    • Right-click on the fingerprint sensor
    • Click on set to update driver
    • Restart your computer.

    If this does not work, make sure that you delete the old footprints in SimplePass and sign new. Please go to:

    • Control Panel
    • Programs
    • HP SimplePass
    • Scroll down to register fingerprints
    • Click and enter your fingerprints.

    If this does not help, I would say uninstall fingerprint driver and reinstall the updated release of the pilot.

    • Open the Device Manager
    • Search for biometric devices
    • Under biometric devices, look for the device (called Validity Sensor sensor AuthenTec)

    • Click on uninstall
    • Restart your computer.

    Have you tried to upgrade HP SimplePass?

    Have you tried to do Windows updates?

    You tired to clean the fingerprint reader?

    Have you tried to use the reader of fingerprints in Mode safe?

    Have you done something new lately? Downloaded new software?

    There is a document called Troubleshooting a fingerprint reader. There are a few troubleshooting steps that may help you including those above. If the steps above has not fixed the problem you are having with your fingerprint reader, please try to follow the steps outlined in the document in the order.

    Yesterday the + tab opens a new tab when you click it. Today, it doesn't. New tab file does not work either. I use OS X El Capitan. I really want to use FireFox as my browser - it's much faster than Chrome. But I'm not going to open a new window every time I want to start something new.

  • Search works do not and when I right click on a link to open it in a new tab, it does not work either.

    The other day, I noticed that my search box stop working. Even when I go to options and click on search, it will not be open to the top of the tab to the search options. Today, I noticed that when I right click on a link, it brings up a long list of options, but the only one I want to work is the "Open link in a new tab." Unfortunately, it does not work. I ran Spybot, Malwarebytes and Microsoft Defender and what malware, they found, it does not solve the problem. I even tried Firefox in Safe Mode and updated, but still questions.     Hi, this is probably because something on your system has crushed all providers default search in firefox. to recover it please download and reinstall firefox to https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ on top of your existing version.
