  Chances are that the image is the same size as the document. You can either add Web Image > canvas... size , use the crop tool and do drag outwards to create more space, or reduce the size of the image ctrl-t or command-t then scale the image inward.

  I scanned a drawing that I place on it's own layer from the office, he was directly drawn, expanded and consolidated.

  Occurs usually when you have a wandering point or a selected guide. Zoom out all the way. You have something that is going to the grey area (outside the mount table) completely.

  Near as I can tell, there is no way to float an object behind the text in a Pages 5,6 word-processing file.

  I can place the rectangle, select it, but "send to back" do not place behind the text.

  Change the implementation of 'Stay on the Page' or 'Move with the text' does not work.

  I can't believe they have eliminated this option in the recent upgrade, but hope that they were hiding somewhere that I have not watched.

  What you have discovered is the trade-off between the use of object moving to Section Master in v5.6 Pages, or by using a real word processing in Pages ' 09 v4.3 (below) that allows to define simply object to the background (selectable or not) and he remains behind the text.

  Two questions were really annoys me and so far I've been unable to find a solution:

  Also when using the standard tool (not the vertical type tool), initially type is placed rotate 90 degrees counterclockwise, and after that I flip back to a horizontal position, I can move and edit fine. Any suggestions?

  Edit > preferences > General > constrain Angle should be 0 degrees.

  If this is the case, Illy may think, it is not, and then she made a mess of things (and perhaps other things, too). In this case, it may be time for the list below.

  (1) close Illy and open again.

  (2) restart the computer (you can make up at least 5 times);

• incremental processing of the object on several pages?

  Hi, I wonder if anyone knows of a script or an easy way to transform an object gradually over the pages.

  in my case, I want a header and slips through slowly the tops and sides of a book, page by page. the book is 212 pages long, and I would like to the effect of being almost like an old fashioned flipbook, where if you flipped through the pages quickly you observing the folio of up and down slide.

  the best I can get to is to do it manually (copy, paste in place, move one increment, copy again, next broadcast, repeat), but this seems incredibly annoying, not to mention error during "spreads 106".

  Ok.. I'm at home so I can't really test this much, but using the method of jarek (faster, easiear, better etc.):

  Create the "roving" items on the first page of your document.

  Select them (if you have more items the script will regroup, but make sure you have at least a page item selected because I do not add too much to the script of error checking) and run the script.

• Help, please. New CS 4 error: cannot move the objects. the requested transformation would make some objects fall completely the drawing area.

  I know that this is not a 'new' error message, but I never got on the previous versions of Illustrator. I just upgraded to CS 4 and get it now on almost all files when I try to move an object in any direction. Not that it matters, but these are files that were created in previous versions of Illustrator and I never had this problem. I followed the instructions of similar positions without success. I zoomed way toward the edge of the art Council: there is no hidden layers, objects or guidelines, no persistent points of the guidelines are erased, or objects of any kind anywhere near the edge of the box art (which, I know it, is huge compared to the size of my working paper of 11 x 17)

  What Miss me?

  Is it possible that your keyboard Increments area struck a giant number? Check under general preferences. (removal of preferences would also reset it)

  Also, to double check - when you zoom in completely to where you can see the limits of the editing table (so you're zoomed out to like 5% or something like that) UNlock all United Nationshide all and select all, is your framework of selection within your page?

  I have a bunch of page PDFs with an ornament on the page. I need to crop all pages the same distance of the ornament. The problem is that the ornament is never in the same horizontal position.

  I have the script where the operator cultures page tight for ornament and I use getPageBox and setPageBox to develop harvest evenly around the entire page, but I would like to completely automate it.

  Basically I need a way to know where the ornament is on the page. Is it possible in Java (I couldn't find one) to browse objects on the page to check their size?

  Gobs much gratitude to MD_quake for posting back here when he or she finds his answer.

  It turns out that the boxes have BEEN changing, but the & #* $%! dialogue of cultures was not showing the changes on all the boxes! Save the file and open it again displays the boxes correctly. By mail to the MD, you can also use a preflight.

  I'm done with this JavaScript but could also change the media box to clean things up a bit.

• Move the object centerpoint

  I would like to create a series of numbers in a radial chart for an indicator of speedometer. It should be fairly easy to create a number, move the center point to the middle of the dial and then run a certain number of degrees. But it is desperately difficult. I was also told to use Parent and create a small object in the Center and use layers for numbers of parents. I do not see how things to a parent or who carry out.

  Do you want the numbers to stay oriented vertically or follow the Ark? After the arc is not a problem, maintain the vertical alignment is more delicate.

  For the text rotated:

  1. First point position in place text object (12:00 position works well).
  2. Object text selected, choose "rotation tool" and Option + click on in the center of the dial

• Why is the Menu on the main Page below the objects in other Pages?

  I added a menu on the master page by using the Composition called new featured widget and it remains behind other objects on normal pages.

  I would not use 'i' to target the object of the fireball.  In the case of the fireballs to withdraw at any time, that the value of i will be false.  The fireball that you add may not of fireballindex [i].

  But I fear now that I don't have time to put implement which.

  There are several scripts circulating on the web that can do it for you.

  You could grab the object, press the alt key and move it. You can enter a new x-y-value or in the transform Panel, and then press alt + enter.
