Moved all the pictures, lost all links

So, I bought the iMac 27 '' new.  I have kept all my photos on an external drive, but decided to use it for the back upward and move all the photos on 3 TB merger in car of the new iMac. I have traveled outside of Lightroom. Of course, when I did, I missed all the bindings.

4.3 Lightroom poster now thumbnails of all my photos, none of my records in the catalog window, all my collections saved.  What is the most effective way for LR to post a link to my newly located file (internal) photos my catalog?

Thank you, John

The question that is on the drive the folder Macintosh HD parent 'Pictures' appears twice in the hierarchy. Assuming that is the you have tried first of all be reprinted, which both files 'Images' have you tried to link to?

I guess when you have made the move, you place the structure of the 'Images' folder under "All files of Photos", but when you tried to recreate a link to selected the 'Images' folder which is located above "all photos"?

Because of this slight complication, you may be better advised trying to link five records below 'Pictures', i.e. ' ensembles, other real, family, friends, vacation "... you will probably get the message ' Merge ' to 'Family' that now appears on the disc Mac HD, but it should be OK to accept... it's a problem if you start at the subfolder level you always have to work top-down.

  • Accidentally moved all the pictures into folders separated in single folder!

So somehow I managed to pass all my photo of my work out of their respective files, well organized files in a single folder. I can't figure out how. All 15 588 of them... now unorganized in one folder. 'Undo' didn't work and I tried to restore from a backup of the catalog without success. Also... my backup Time Machine refuses to restore because the drive is messed up, so it's useless. Lightroom has still all recognized records in the catalog, but the pictures are missing, (?) and not just "d - link" them and point Lightroom for photos in the new folder.

So guess my question is, can I I go to each folder in lightroom and physically move all the photos that were previously in this NEW folder in this folder on the system automatically? It seems that lightroom recognizes the folders used to exist here... just can't find them. Well, I know that they are all in a folder and would like Lightroom to move them all back into their appropriate folders. In this way, when I search a folder on my computer (not in lightroom), the folder that contains the photos that used to be there. I hope this makes sense. I use Lightroom 4.1 on a Mac OSX version 10.8.3. Thanks for any help.

My apologies in advance: I did not read all of the background messages.

    If I understand correctly:

    * Folder structure in Lightroom is intact (but the folders/files are considered to be 'missing').

    * Folder on the disc structure has been flattened (all files are now in a single folder, instead of a tree).

If that's true, this plugin will solve your problem:

  • Y at - it one click Save all changes to the pictures option copies?

    Hello

Assuming that... I have this right... is there a way to export and merge all your "changes" with your photos and save them as copy with a single click, rather than individually / one at a time?

Why?  In the end so I can record my resulting good photos... of thousands... like the copies that I can use with other apps... or NOT applications.

But why?   OK, I am new and uncomfortable with the system files in lightroom.  The way I understand it, is that create you a catalog, essentially the thumbnails of your images on your drive.  Then changes that you become not part of a metafile, which is a large database of all of your changes to all your photos in a single file.  When you pull up to the image of a 'catalogue' (assuming that you have not moved it) LR pulls the top of the image and combines it with the changes that you made from "metafile" to show you your edited photo.

OK, but why?   Because I use another software and AFTER THAT my year is up, I can't renew.
The file system seems tailored to make you dependent on Adobe and frankly, if this is the case, it bothers me a lot.  (Wait till SharePoint catches up to us).

    (1) do not want to put pictures to update the locked or my inaccessible changes.

    (2) I would like to try and learn how to Adobe, and not to have several copies in all directions.

    (3) but I have to abandon my hierarchy and an easy way to find and save the photos to do way to Adobe (I am still not completely.)

    4) there are some things that I do very easily with Photoshop and can not use Adobe until I have find them... If possible.

SO before I commit to a purchase of years.   Can someone answer my rather direct question as shown in the first two lines.

    Thank you

    Kevin

I'm old school, been using computers since before the 286 and catalogues and things like owner is confusing because I have not found an explanation that helps me to ask the right questions or he explains the way I need it.  Therefore, apart from the intro training videos... If someone knows a source of information that is useful, direct, to the point (which doesn't make you not sitting in your Chair in...) My God, I have other things to do today, to come to the point... Please share.  I will examine each link.  (I'm used to be the guy to go to and it is frustrating).

Because I use another software and AFTER THAT my year is up, I can't renew.

In this case, all parts except develop Lightroom and card are always available for you, indefinitely, which allows you to export your photos changed from Lightroom, after payment of the subscription.

Is there a way with one click to save each edited photo? No, but you can do it with several clicks (select all the pictures, file-> export, set them options you want, click Export) and even given all your doubts about Lightroom (which a lot of people and a lot of people sharing does not share), which seems exaggerated to me. Worse: you stop paying your membership and then you can always perform this export at this time.

  • Submenus are moving to the top of the screen in IE8? All other browsers display correctly

First of all, I am new to the design of websites and Dreamweaver, but a quick learner. So - please assume that I know very little.

I use a mac and created a horizontal nav bar using the widget spry (DMCS3; Spry 1.6.1). Everything is ok, except for the submenus in my navigation bar. I confirmed it seems correct (for PC) in Chrome and Firefox and (for mac), Safari and Firefox. But in Internet Explorer 8, the submenus are moving all the way to the top of the screen. The only way I could solve this problem, is that if I type 132 px for the 'top', 'margin' in the category 'box' in my ul. MenuBarHorizontal of ul rule. However, by doing this it makes all other browsers display incorrectly (the submenu is down to the bottom of the page).

I've seen where people have been to "conditional comments" in their CSS file, for IE... and if what I have to do, that what I write and where I need to put in order all IE8 users to conform to the margin of the top 132 px, while other users are in line with the original upper margin of 2 px.

Finally, a few people have noted that the submenu buttons "stick" (loading/disappear slowly) as they scroll buttons, is there a way for me to fix this?

Here is the link to the site, and my CSS file is attached - thank you in advance:
