  I have pictures on lightroom 5 I can ' t in lightroom cc2015 access.  Why not all the images moved with the version update?

  I tried selecting them and then manually moving them, also exporting them but was not successful.  How can I move these images to new version?

  My suggestions-

  1. Uninstall LR5. It out of your system, you use it again.

  2. find your catalog file (a file of type. LRCAT) using the operating system (Windows Explorer / Mac Finder)

  3. open the xxx. LRCAT file (double click or Right click/open)

  LR6/CC will transfer your data LR5 in a new catalog of LR6 format with a "-2" added at the end of the name; your catalog LR5 remains unchanged.

  4. When you then open Lightroom, the default catalog will be the converted catalog.

  Consider the catalog 'old' LR5 as a backup only. (If you try to open a second time, you will have an another LR6/cc catalog called xxx-2 - 2.lrcat)

  AND-you, the pictures are NOT IN LIGHTROOM! They exist in the folders on your computer. The Lightroom Catalog is a database that displays thumbnails that have a 'link' to your photos.

  AND you don't have to "Move" anything! Everything remains exactly where it was, (Images, catalog)

  Addition to the response of Srini, you know that there is a new view in g 11 responses to display SQL logic? Just choose in the analysis-> results-> new view-> other-> SQL-> Standard SQL logic views.

• Catalogs to move to another folder.

  In back up and restore a PSE6 catalog from an XP PC based laptop Vista Basic, I have chosen the restoration to new location / option of maintaining an existing folder Structure and the catalog files and the image files have been created successfully in my main folder of images. The new catalog has been recognized in PSE6 and all files and thumbnails appear to be connected. However, retaining the original structure of folders I had inadvertently created a lot of unwanted subfolders of the old XP address and cataloguing info was not in the default location/Program Data value where my other catalogs. So I decided to first move the cataloging of files and tried to use the Catalogue / move the command in order, mistakenly thinking because it turns out that this move only the cataloguing files and then I could eliminate unwanted subfolders in my structure of file photo by a further drag and drop approach PSE6.

  I am not aware of having given advice in the catalog / move processes as a destination for the move folder, as he never asked, but it seems that cataloging and photo files have been moved by the default location of the data/Program Vista command. I don't know if I asked to make the catalog available to all users, or just myself interviewed, but think that it was probably the last. The movement gave rise to all the thumbnails in the catalog becomes disconnected image files, and then I did one reconnect all the processes that worked for everyone, but a handful of files.

  The problem is that while I can see the photo folders I have moved to the folder view in PS6 and seem more connected to the image of the catalog, I can't find them, or even the folder Data / Program only they sirt inside, seeking outside PS6.   You must use the Catalog Manager, not the web tool but the client tool, see this link:

  (1) I agree with the STRONG recommendation to make this work.  This should be your top priority, as is the method of support.

My understanding is that you need to update your server vCenter first, then update manager, you can use UNIFIED messaging to update ESXi hosts. I found a post that says that the only way to vCenter is to do a new install of update 4.1 2.

  If this is correct, how can I do a fresh install of vCenter without losing all my configurations? I started the installer and can't me what database, I want to install (i.e. the SQL 2005 Express included or an existing DB). If I point to the DSN for my existing DB, it will overwrite the DB or whether it is sufficient to install the update and let the DB in place?

  I guess that the same question would be relevant for UNIFIED messaging was updated as well.

  Quick notes... I cloned times my App Server VM vCenter and the DB Server VM vCenter, well I prefer not to overwrite my primary. I'm on an isolated network, so I don't have access to the VMware patch repositories. And I can't jump to vSphere 5. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

  Yes, first step is always venter with all components (VUM, converter, etc.), and after upgrading vCenter you can do the upgrade to ESXi via VUM

  You want to perform the upgrade on isolated VM and move them later to PROD? I suggest to clone vCenter VM and VM DB first and update on the PROD not cloned servers.

  Note that you do not want change the submit URL but the soapAddress... but who is protected too. The soapAddress is not a bindable property, but you get get the value of a hidden field or you can get the address of the data dom yourself.

  Anyway the problem is with security Acrobat... .it does not change the address of SOAP on the fly. The dom that holds this information is protected (for security reasons). So we can clone and use the cloned connection and change this address. Here's some code that does that:

  OK, so if you forget what is in the binary file, you still have the XML for analysis (reports) himself to get info.

  Take a look at the scripts in SampleApp, there has been a bet all columns used by each report etc., it's probably something interesting for your needs.

  If you need to be able to search for "titles" not written in reports no choice but to analyze the XML to extract the required information, but the positive point is that XML is 'easy' to read and understand, so you can easily find what kind of information to extract here.

  You may also want to take a look at short: it was possible to use it for what you're looking for. Short can be integrated with OBIEE to provide search on catalog objects (I don't remember the details).

  I have thousands of images and photos and files and classify with Bridge, trying to keep a logical and usable and easily searchable structure for all files.

  However, in Lightroom, I'm lost. Should I do a huge master catalog with more 12 000 files and made many collections of images of who?

  Should I make the new image catalogues for each project or a series of photos?

  Should I keep all my catalogs in a central area?

  At this moment I have download all my images and sort their file name and the date. A typical file name/folder path may be Photos/2016-02-20 Khadijah event MC/Khadijah MC event 2016-02-20 13.57.35.jpg sedan. I download from camera or anything of a central download folder and then use the bridge to sort and rename and move the files to a new folder in my central repository of photos with the folders and subfolders.

  How the hell to integrate this system into Lightroom? It takes forever to access a central folder with more than 12,000 images in there.

  What can I do to organize and classify all these images?

  Are there resources or tutorials that I can use? The only thing I've found so far is a bit useful is the general Lightroom workflow | Adobe Photoshop Lightroom CC tutorials.

  Another that I find very little advice. Learn Lightroom interface is hard enough, but before I do that I need to have a strategy for how to use the program.

  Keep a master catalog with all your images.

  Keep your existing folder and naming structure because it works for you.

  Do not separate catalogues for to find something, open them one at a time.

  LR import process only records where your files are.  Optionally use LR to copy from your device photo/map to a variety of structures of folders.  Once done, you can create folders to your liking, move, and rename everything.

  With a single master catalog and your structure of existing files that you are satisfied, you get the ability to search by a lot of existing metadata.  Then you can add keywords and collections as you see possibilities.
