Windows Framework updates do not install.
One of the workstations XP SP3 on a Windows 2003 R2 LAN continues to tell me that the same nine updates waiting to be installed. When I click on the shield, they seem to everyone install successfully and I can see them in the Add/Remove programs in the Control Panel window. However after a reboot of my computer will again ask to install the same updates.
The workstation, is that a Dell GX520 with 2 GB of RAM 6 GB of free space on the hard drive, bridge end semantic protection shows no sign of any viruses. I have administrative privileges on the workstation and the local network.
Updates nine that relate to .NET Framework 2.0 or 3.0. They are KB2686828, KB979909, KB982168, KB2656407, KB2656352, KB982524, KB2604092, KB2656369, KB2604110. These updates will show as having been installed in the Add/Remove Programs window, but windows tells me that we need to install. An attempt to install internet explore 8.0 also fails. This may or may not be related.
I ran the program associated support.micosoft.com/mats/windows update fix that told me that he had found and corrected the errors however the workstation is still ask to install the updates.
I intends to remove all context updates, then reinstall who can or can not solve the problem; However, there must be an easier way. Any suggestions at all would be certainly appreciated. Thank you thank you

Problem installing Windows Security Update. Not installing - KB2467175
I have a problem when you install the update of security for Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package (KB2467175). Everybody out there to provide a solution for this? Am pretty tired after trying all possible solutions, I can and in vain. Problem is that this particular update is not proceed with the installation even after you try to install it manually also. Impossible to solve this problem. Ask for help from you people.
Please note: Tested on a PC running Windows Vista 64-bit Version.
I found a solution for this problem and fixed it. I don't know how it would work for others. May give it a try because it will not harm you in any way.
I tried to make all possible suggestions found on the net, but none has proved that my way then went on my own way.
First of al the update of security for Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package comes with updates of Windows 5.6 MB file size which means (to my knowledge) to install two Versions of this update of 32 and 64-bit Versions on 64-bit PC running. This particular update the Versions of it needs to be installed and not a particular Version of the update. The size of the file for 32-bit would be 2.6 MB and 64-bit is 3.0 MB, once the combination comes only 5.6 MB. You can find the download on the link below and download Versions. You have 64-bit the second and 32 bits as the 3rd on the download page. I first installed the update then with the 32-bit and the 64-bit Version and finally managed. Please find the link to download the update manually from Microsoft site
If this solves your problem then kindly updated me.

Windows Update tried to install 4 days now. Every time he tries it tells me it failed and trying to install in manually. He said then the laptop restarts, but it does not start. Startup Repair tells me that it cannot solve the problems.
I don't know how to go beyond this problem, can someone help me? I have no disk Vista as it came pre-installed on my laptop. Help, please!If your Vista is preinstalled, ANY support for your laptop is the manufacturer of the computer, not Microsoft.
Try this:
Restore point:
Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.
Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...
Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:
Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.
NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.
Read all the info on the website on how to create and use it.
http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/
ISO Burner: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html
It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.
You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.
It is NOT a disc of resettlement.
And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
How to get Vista recovery Media or the Vista recovery Partition on your computer back to factory settings.
There is no Vista free download legal available.
Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.
Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.
In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...
Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.

Windows 7 updates do not install.
I tried to update my Windows 7 computer so I went to Windows Update. When I click on "Find updates" it gave me an error message. It says "Windows cannot currently check the updates, because the service is not running. You may have to restart your computer. "I rebooted several times, each time failed. I'm doing something wrong!
Check if the following services are running in services.msc: (Open Run dialog box and type services.msc) In the list are those services. :
- Windows Update Service
- Cryptographic services
- Background Intelligent Transfer Service
If none of them does not work, right-click on the service and click Start.
Reply back with the results.
