  • Windows Movie Maker crashes when publishing in any form.

I was using Windows Movie Maker to make a photo slideshow. I tried to post it on my computer, but it will crash. With active DEP, Windows prompted me that DEP has closed the program. When I disabled DEP, it does not work too.

I use Windows Movie Maker (comes with windows) on a Windows Vista Home Premium SP2 (32 bit). It runs on OEM computer laptop with AMD Turion x 64 processor. I disabled all of the codecs listed in the tools > Options > Compatiability, but it still does not work. All solutions?

My OS is Vista.  I use Windows Movie Maker to splice a longer video into parts.  I separated it into 32 parts and I saved every part as his own movie, except one.  I have successfully registered all other parties.  The part that gives me the problem stalls edition to 99%.  I can cancel the edition and try again, but the same thing happens.  I tried to make it there from the largest file again, and it still crashes.  I left it for a much longer time than the other videos to see if he needed more time, but there was no change.  I also tried saving them in different folders, and I tried to save it in different ways.  I tried to restart the program, but that did not help either.  Is there a reason why this is happening?  What can I do to fix it so I can publish it?

  • My Movie Maker freezes when I try to change titles-XP

Originally, I had 2 sets of titles at the end of my film, after I had finished, I realized that one set had not entered, I come back in to edit, but found I couldn't create a newarea to rewrite the missing titles, then I thought that I could change the existing titles, I have made room for the new text below the existing and then copied and pasted and entered the new text at the top in the text box and worked down.  When everything was done, I ran the preview and flew over securities, within the time limit say 20 seconds, Itried to find a way to extend the deadline for the securities given, I would say that I needed at 40 to 50 seconds for titles to go legibly. Then, everything went in form, whenever igo back in it freezes, Ctrl + Alt + Delete to escape through the PEAR Task Manager. End of.

  • Movie Maker crashes my computer when I try to publish it.

I have Vista and have done a lot of movies before with this system without any problems.  I looked everywhere on the internet for answers, but have not seen anything that works is quite simple.  This film is long approximately 60 minutes.  I tried to save it on the D drive and even on a disc... it always crashes.  Help, please!  It's for work.

    Thank you

The size of uncompressed to a high time file
    video quality can be 14FR.

The project may be too big and too complex for your
    system resources. Would it create
several small projects, save each one in the. WMV
film format and then re-import the collection. WMV
files to combine into the final movie?

It is also possible that one or more of your source

Compatibility tab and uncheck that all filters can

  • I imported the pic of a flash drive files in Movie Maker. When I return to my project overnight the pictures do not exist.

I work in Windows Movie Maker.  I imported the pic of a flash drive files.  When I return to my project overnight the pictures do not exist.   They don't last load because the 'not found' files, mysteriously images loaded back up everything.  I have no idea of what I did, but they found themselves back much to my relief however, today, I'm not so lucky.    Tonight, it's the same thing, but the only way I can get the pictures if I find the missing photo 1 by 1 by right click and search for my flash drive.  I have my flash drive in my computer when I started working on my project again. I put a dvd set for my nursery and I have many many photos and I can't click on each of them.  Please give me some useful advice soon so I'm not crazy!  School is out next week! I know that there must be an easy fix.

    Thank you very much :)

It would be preferable that you copied your files to a

  • Windows Live Movie maker crashes at 11%

I edited my video clips, music etc added and everything seems fine, but when I try to publish my movie in Windows LIVE movie on DVD maker or my computer it is about 11% and then closes its doors.  Sometimes it will say that WLMM is unresponsive, but mostly it just closes and goes back to the folder where the project is stored.

Video files have been converted to wmv, and the music is in mp3.    I used Windows Movie maker before without any problem, but it's with LIVE movie maker.

Ok... I guess that the rules on MP3 files as the problem but
as a general rule... WMA is generally more reliable in Movie Maker.

If Vista Movie Maker 6 can handle the project, why not use it?

What is the duration of this project?

Failure to register is usually caused by incompatible or damaged
source files. Or... the project is too big or too complex for the system
resources. Making a lot of changes and add a lot of transitions and
the effects may increase the risk of failure.

Start over and create a smaller project can sometimes be
the answer, or you can start deleting the files and try saving after
each withdrawal until what you determine the file causing problem.

FWIW... you can also try to create the project using Windows DVD creation.
(Of course this is not a solution unless you plan to burn a DVD)
