Moving pictures of iCloud to rename device WD MyCould ' inches *.» * ?

Hello everyone.  I hope someone can explain to me what is happening.

I have a Mac Mini OS 10.11.4 run soft Photos with photos stored/synced on the iCloud.  My iCloud is full, but with an external device to 3 TB WD MyCloud that I could move the photos on.  In reading previous posts, I selected all the photos in the photo library and dropped in a new folder on the device to WD.  Any fine apparently copied, except that they have been renamed "thumb_orignal filename.  Makes me think these copied pictures are not the photos full resolution, I had in the iCloud.  Can someone confirm and I would like to know if there is a better way to unload the pictures of the iCloud for my WD drive?  I have not deleted my iCloud photos but as I wanted to be sure that they are exactly the same pictures.

Thank you

Just so we're on the same page that you want to store just the size original, unpublished, full image files from your library of Photos to your WD external HD, right?

If that's what you want too do the following:

1. go to the photo window and select all the photos in the library, i, e, command + a key shot.

2 - use the file export Original ➙ unmodified for X, XXX points... option:

3. in the window export, choose these settings:

The XMP file is optional and will be useful if you are using a 3rd party application that can use this file when displaying photos.

4 - Select the WD external hard drive as the destination and export.

ATTENTION: This will give you copies of your original, unpublished files.  You will lose any organizing effort that you put in the library, i.e. the albums, projects, etc.  You will lose all the metadata that you have added to the file, for example, title, description, keywords, unless view you files to image-exporter with an application that can use the XMP file.

How iCloud library works is that all the photos are on iCloud and on the device connected to this library to iCloud. If you remove anywhere from anywhere, they are deleted.

  • 9.3.1 iOS cannot add pictures to iCloud shared album

Since the upgrade to iOS 9.3.1 I can't add pictures to iCloud shared albums.

Tried cela two ways. By selecting the option of sharing photos of iCloud film images. If a new album name is defined, the album is created, but it remains empty. The second way is a shared album iCloud and try to insert a picture by tapping the +. Nothing happens.

I also noticed that even recently taken photos are in charge of the iCloud seen (I have iCloud library active). Before this update only the old images were downloaded when read and recently added remained on the phone/ipad.

What is happening on my iPhone 6 and Air 2 64 GB iPad each and there is lots of space available on the two so that he should not download recent photos in the photo library and remove phone immediately.

On your phone, go to settings > iCloud and make sure that you have downloaded all your photos on your phone. Then click on "disable the iCloud photo library." But even once, make sure that you have all the photos uploaded to your Mac computer or your iPhone.

  • Backup (moving) pictures from iPhone to iCloud, stuck!

    Hi all

I let go a long day holiday tomorrow and I have a lot of pictures on my iPhone taking over of valuable storage that I know I'll need inevitable for the pictures and videos on vacation. I went into my iCloud > Photos settings and position "Optimize iPhone storage" and it is just stuck on "download of 1 063 items. The number has moved, but since I started this about four hours ago he did only ~ 200 at most.

I'm doing something wrong? I desperately need to move my 19 GB of Photos from my phone to my iCloud (I have 50 GB of space, 41GB that is available).

If it is downloading, you do not have something wrong. It is an extremely slow process.

  • Moving pictures of Android to iCloud

    Hi all

I'm in trouble! I'm eager to spend the Ms. of an android phone to an iPhone.

She already has an iCloud account because it has an iPad. She has no computer/laptop.

Move contacts and stuff to the iphone is of course quite simple by implementing his e-mail account of Google on the iPhone.

-How can I him 30 + GB of photos moved into iCloud?

The iphone will be a 16 GB Version - I have the same, having 40 + GB of photos in icloud and had no problems with the available memory on the phone.

I have a macbook, but I don't want to pollute my library iphoto with its pictures and vice versa.

Suggestions as to how photos from your android phone can be charged upward to icloud, so that, as soon as she starts to use an iphone, they're all here ready to go?

    Thanks in advance!

You do not need to do through iPhoto, it can be done via a web interface to iCloud.com

  • Can I delete all the pictures of all my Apple devices and keep my albums stored in iCloud

    Hi all

I've been Googling everywhere to try to find the answer to this, but I still have no clear answer.

I want to delete all my photos (which are already stored in iCloud), all my Apple devices, it's ok for me to access photos of the iCloud.com as long as I can use this space for other data in my cameras.

If you delete photos from iCloud they are also removed from the devices who consider them, so no.

  • With the help of pictures with iCloud

I have a problem with the use of the photos and iCloud which I can't solve alone...

I love the feature that when I snap a photo on my iPhone, it shows up on my other devices as well. However, it is much, results use all my ability to iPhones. I want to be able to remove the 'local' storage of the photo in my iPhone, but still be able to view in my iPhone. How do I do that? After all, isn't that what iCloud's all about?

ICloud-storage is full, I want to remove too much iCloud and keep only locally on my MacBook for display. How remove the photo from iCloud, but always keep locally on my Mac? And if I don't want to use photos as my photo Manager, how do I take their 'out' photos and store them in the form of directive on my Mac?

I'm afraid that if I simply enter the photos app on any of my devices and try to remove a photo from iCloud, remove them permanently. How to avoid this?

I hope someone can help me with this problem!

With iCloud library enabled, you cannot delete a photo on a device (or iCloud.com) without deleting each device which uses iCloud photo library (iCloud.com). In order to save space on your mobile devices (and indeed your Mac if you want to) turn on the optimization of the pictures on these devices (settings > photos & camera > optimize storage on your mobile device and Photo preferences > optimize storage on your Mac)

Dynamic optimization, it reduces the resolution of your photos, if necessary, so that you don't notice it occurring initially. However, when necessary, it is very effective, and users have reported libraries being optimized for much less than 10% of their original size in some cases. My own library is about 9% of its original on my phone size.

  • What happens if I disable pictures in iCloud?

    Hi all!

I received an Email that my iCloud storage was almost full. I checked it and the only option that has been lit and took most of the storage was "Photos." Now I turned off and a lot of storage to go.

    Now, here's my question:

Do I lose all the images have been save with iCloud, even if I saved them on my Mac in the application "Photos"?

I have 30 days to lit again this option. But what happens if I turn it on after 30 days?

    Thanks for the tips!

    Cheerio!

If you are not more store pictures in the clouds they are your cloud

After 30 days, they are more recoverable Apple on your cloud

If they are on your hard drive you they will stay there unless you use synchronization in both directions.

I would move them to another folder or device and keep a copy if they are worth any for you.

  • How to download pictures from iCloud, but not upload to iMac

    Hi all

I have an iMac, my wife and I have iPhones and our daughter has an iPodTouch.

Currently, we are all transfer our photos of our individual iCloud account.

I want to download pictures of each on my iMac iCloud account, but then not upload to each other iCloud.

Is this possible?  I managed to stop the iMac Photos to upload on iCloud, but I don't see how to set up the iMac to download from each people iCloud account.

    Thank you for reading

Currently, we are all transfer our photos of our individual iCloud account.

What iCloud service do you use for this?  iCloud photo library?  iCloud drive?  My photo stream?

on Photos for Mac synchronization with iCloud goes two ways. If you enable iCloud Photo library or my photo stream on your Mac, download photos from your Mac to iCloud photo library and upload new photos to my stream of photos and other devices that use this service.

If you want to only download to your Mac, use the web interface to access iCloud photo library from the Web browser and do not allow any iCloud photo library on your Mac.

Open the web Page www.icloud.com and sign one of your iCloud Apple ID.  Then launch the Photos.app on this web page.  Now open the album pictures and click "Select". Select all the pictures, and then click Download.

To select all photos click on the first picture of the beach, hold down the shift button, scroll to the last picture and select it.

  • Stop my Mac to upload his new pictures on iCloud

    Hello!

I am a professional photographer and take a lot of pictures high resolution and put them on my computer. I have been using iCloud on my IOS devices and love the way that they synchronize between iCloud, but when I started to use my Mac for my professional activity, he began the synchronization of all the pictures I imported my professional cameras to iCloud and quickly took all the available storage (20 GB).

Can I disable picture downloading from my Mac, but still have my IOS devices continue to download? If so, will I still be able to see my IOS photos in my photo stream when using my Mac?

    Thank you!

Unfortunately, the two stream library and photo photos iCloud are 2 way streets.

You may want to consider operating 2 libraries on your Mac, you would hold one for your photos (and make the system library and select Library iCloud) and one for professional photos.
