  • 'Comfort Curve Keyboard 2000' cannot start (code 10)

Hi, my laptop cannot detect my external keyboard. The keyboard is the 'Comfort Curve Keyboard 2000'. Laptop is an ACER ASPIRE 5738 G running Windows 7, 64-bit, the publishing house.

When I plug in the keyboard, Windows says it can't find a driver for the device and if I manually select HID keyboard driver, Windows indicates that the device cannot start (code 10).

I already tried to uninstall all USB devices and restart the system, but it did not work.

    Any suggestion?

    Hi Stefano,

If the device has a FailReasonString value in its hardware key, that string is displayed in the error message. The driver or enumerator places this registry string value there. If there is no FailReasonString in the hardware key, you receive the following error message.

  • «Ms Comfort Curve Keyboard 2000 v1.0: "Down arrow" key release when button "ARROW on the left «»

I've had this keyboard for several years and it works very well, but there was a problem with what I was never able to solve.
My arrow "to" doesn't work when I press the 'left' arrow key  If I am now the 'left' arrow key and then press the 'down' arrow key, it does nothing either.

It is not a problem except when I use the arrow keys to move an avatar in a game (especially shooters).  This does not happen to the direction keys on the numeric keypad, just the main arrows.  For an example of game, I'm able to move in all directions except diagonal-left-down, and I can't share 'left' to 'down' without a full version of 'left '.

I even coded a sample program to print text down button is broadcast with an keyReleased() event.  It goes off when I press the arrow key to the left and also when I actually release the arrow key down.  So if I press key, then the left key, then release button, I get it two times in a row, but if I press the left key only, it does not print the text, and if I press and release the button by holding the left button down while it ALSO does not print.  If the key is completely overridden by the left arrow.

What the heck!  I have the latest drivers, so is this material instead?  This isn't a new problem, so I don't think it's dirt either (especially since its spill resistant), but I don't know what I can do about it at this stage.

    Hello

Have you tried to completely uninstall the drivers and then by downloading and installing drivers from the manufacturer's website?

  • Microsoft Comfort Curve Keyboard keys malfunction after reload of software Windows 7 64 bit.

Microsoft Comfort Curve Keyboard 4000 and 2000 models both have swapped the functions to shift 2, shift of single quotation marks, backslash shift and shift 3.  Each keyboard seems to have the same problem.  Occurred after having to reload the software 64-bit Windows 7.  RELOADED software for keyboards and still does not help. Had to reload windows and keyboard software after that caused windows crash errors.

  • 3000 comfort curve keyboard, how to reassign the button of the calculator to launch a browser?

IntelliType is not supported on this key board.

Thanks for the reply.  I was not able to use this information to resolve what I want to do.

Yes, I recently installed the Comfort Curve Keyboard and it works fine.  I was using a Microsoft Digital Media Pro Keyboard (only part no 809745-004 X) and found the keys to 'Favorites' useful.  So I tried to change the "Calculator" key (not very useful for me) to be a touch one touch "browser."

I guess I can live with the mouse or the Windows key solution for now.
    Thanks again.

  • Combination of weird keys Comfort Curve 2000

    Hello

I have a 2000 keyboard, comfort curve, which I like to use. He has a very odd behavior that I eventually tracked down.
When you type, if I press "n" then "s" then "space", it acts as if I had just pressed the button back to iTunes.
If someone else has reported this? How can I turn this off?
    -Ben

    Hi Ben,

    Thanks for a quick update.

As the problem is specific to this keyboard, it could be because of problems with the driver for the keyboard.

I suggest you to uninstall the current version and install the latest version of the driver for the keyboard. You can check the link to download the latest driver on Microsoft hardware Web site:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/hardware/en-in/d/comfort-curve-keyboard-2000

Check out the link to open the Device Manager:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows7/open-Device-Manager

    Follow these steps:

    (a) in the Device Manager window, locate the icon for the keyboard device and expand the driver icon.

    (b) make a right click on the driver icon and select uninstall.

    (c) follow the instructions on the screen to uninstall the driver.

    (d) find the folder that contains the configuration file for the most recent driver that you have downloaded.

    (e) double-click the installer and follow the on-screen instructions to install the driver.

Check if you find always the same question. If so, it could be a hardware problem on the keyboard.

I suggest you to contact the Microsoft Hardware support for further assistance. Check out the link to contact:

    It will be useful.

  • Don't Comfort Curve 2000 (USB) some keys no longer recognized

Comfort Curve 2000 (USB) has recently ceased to recognize all keys when it is installed on my Toshiba Satellite laptop - Win 7 ~ 64-bit.  You wonder if it is related to a recent Windows Update.  (Only change I can think of) Usually, I prompt to install Win Update but a recent program by default to auto on the issue of the update. Something like 35 updates have been installed and the problem started.  Think that question is related to one, but cannot be isolated.  Similar problems exist with other USB keyboards, so it does not appear that the material. The problem looks like this: the prblem lks like that which presents a prblem 12467890... period and semi colon as it does not work.  No matter what usb that I use AND does not affect the frame to the keyboard on the laptop.

  • Comfort Curve 3000 keyboard and Intellitype

I just bought a Microsoft Comfort Keyboard 3000 and was assuming that it works with the Microsoft Intellitype software. However, Intellitype 8.2 does not have a Microsoft USB keyboard (the CC3000 is a Microsoft USB keyboard).

The Comfort Curve 3000 displays as a Comfort Curve 3000 in devices and printers (my old keyboard doesn't have), however, in the Device Manager it is simply shown as a device HID keyboard (with a former driver of 2006). Make a driver search can't detect no other driver, any more than Windows Update.

Interestingly, the Comfort Curve 3000 on Microsoft Hardware download page does not list Intellitype (made the comfort curve 2000). Can I get my Comfort Curve 3000 to work with Intellitype?

I am slot as Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.

    Hello

Since the Microsoft Comfort Curve 3000 keyboard requires no Intellitype software to make it work, the software does not recognize the keyboard.

We are permanently configured and cannot be changed unless you used some kind of remapping utility which I highly doubt they will hold these buttons.

You can try. Software download: comfort wireless keyboard but I have a suspicion, it won't help. Keyboards just the built in XP drivers.
