MS Word 2003 not opening

Bought a Toshiba A100-147 four days back. Installing Microsoft Office Professional 2003, but Word does not open. Excel, Powerpoint, Access are all working well. I really need MS Word to work on this laptop. Can someone please help?

In addition, the laptop has Microsoft One Note 2003 preinstalled. This was deleted by mistake. Does anyone have an idea how to get it back?

Hello

On this path, it is not easy to say what the problem is here, but please do not forget that the word is correctly preinstalled. You can also use the installations CD and trying to install Word only again.

Info about OneNote, you can find on this subject http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=2098&messageID=5722

Bye and good luck!

  • With the new PC RoboHelp for Word does not open

When I try to open RoboHelp for Word, you receive this error message:
"The version of Microsoft Word you have installed is not supported." Please install an earlier version of Word before you run RoboHelp for Word. »

With this new installation of PC, I always use Word 2003, which is the same version that I used previously. However, the operating system of the PC is now XP, while she was before Windows 2000.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you!

Peter and Brian, thank you VERY much! RoboHelp for Word works now.

Peter, your advice to install RoboHelp after installing Word was key to resolve this issue.

For a quick summary of the result - our Help Desk uninstalled and reinstalled Outlook, Word and RoboHelp. Then they have reinstalled Word and Outlook; to change a setting 'Advanced' in outlook; to get the word to stop giving me the error messages, they need to redo my user profile. Then after that I was convinced that Word and Outlook work properly, this afternoon I installed RoboHelp X 5 through my CD and then downloaded and installed these two tasks on Adobe.com:
-rho_x501.exe (for updating HR Office Word 2003 support)
-rho13_x502.exe (for the Microsoft XP Service Pack 2 updated X5.0.2). help

I am so grateful that RoboHTML and RoboHelp for Word seem to work well! Thanks again!

  • Word won't open word attachments outlook files & just hangs

    Ideas:

I just installed Office Enterprise 2007 on my new laptop HP 550 running 32-bit Vista Home Premium. Word does not open Word files coming in joints to emails via Outlook and when Word opens just opens the word headers and freezes, although I can to the opportunity to preview the file.
Initially, I installed Office Enterprise on a trial version OEM of Office that I had downloaded the updates, then when this happened I uninstalled enterprise and Office Enterprise office and reloaded trial version. I always get the word not opening not Word attachments Outlook and hung even if other computers can open.
I also have a separate error message when you use internet explore that it has encountered a problem with the improvements of the Explorer and needs to close.
How can I fix this please?
    Thank you

    • Error messages
    • Recent changes to your computer
    • What you have already tried to solve the problem

Remember - this is a public forum so never post private information such as numbers of mail or telephone!

Initially I run Office Diagnostics, or the office CD or breast, for example Word
Also, if you have anti-virus integrated with Outlook, you must uninstall the AV, restart, reinstall the AV without the Outlook integration.

  • Illustrator does not open "an unknown error has occurred (-108)".

I installed Yosemite a few weeks and it took several days to finally get things working again. Everything was fine for awhile, but now Safari try to continually reload pages, Mail crashes when I check new messages (it disappears without warning), Illustrator gives me "unknown error (-108)", just InDesign disappears when I try to start it, Word does not open, preview does not work in the finder. This is a major drawback and makes my pretty useless Mac.

I'm a writer to RESUME running OS X El Capitan 10.11.3.  I sent a resume in Word docx format to a customer who has an old Mac that works on 10.5.8.  She cannot open the file.  Then, I sent him back to him like a plain .doc file, but it can not open, either.  Is there a solution?  Or do I have to send the customer to the public library to use their computers?

    Talk to your client:

Using Word 2004 Mac users who receive a document from Word 2008 for Mac (or Word 2007 for Windows), will not be able to read it without going through the Open XML Converter installed, which can be downloaded from Microsoft.

    Go to this page:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/mac/downloads.mspx

Click on right under the most popular «Open XML File Format Converter for Mac 1.0.2»

This opens a window at the bottom of the page. Highlight on the bottom and click on English.dmg and it will download for you as a disk image, which can be installed in the usual way.

After installation you can .xml opened and read in format Word 2008 documents in Word 2004.
