MSD cannot change the configuration of SNMP

Guys,

Im trying to change the SNMP community for a conductor string found TMS, like its incorrect.

All my other devices allow me to change the SNMP channel but for the conductor it is grayed out and I can't change it.

They system is moaning the SNMP string does not (which is) but doesn't let me change it.

I don't want to remove and re-add the driver because it has different settings, I want to keep.

Everyone knows this?

It is not possible to update the name of the community of the settings tab for conductor within TMS, but you can change the name of the community on the connection tab.

  • Cannot change the power state of VM: internal error

    Hello

I freshly installed OS elementary which is based on Ubuntu.

VMWare Workstation installation worked fine, but after creating my new virtual machine with a Win 10, the same message comes to me:

Cannot change the power state of VM: internal error

I looked a little in the log file, found this dump was set to zero, they changed in etc/security /, but that's all I've managed to find.

    Here is my log file

Thanks a lot for your help

PS: I'm leaving a beginner in the Linux world, so explanation would be welcome

    Hello

Welcome to the VMware community forums.

I don't think that the problem is related to a beginner linux user, it's a problem triggered by a specific hardware configuration.

If you look at your log file again, there is an error just before the vmware process attempts to core dump. The dump is a reaction to the problem.

    vmx| E105: PANIC: VERIFY bora/vmcore/vmx/main/timeTracker_user.c:238 bugNr=148722

If you then put the bug number into google, you get:

    http://KB.VMware.com/kb/1227

Which indicates in return you can set a configuration file to specify the actual frequency of your processor.

Your processor is an Intel (r) Core i5-3570 CPU @ 3.40 GHz

The linux variant of the config.ini file they speak on windows hosts is/etc/vmware/config

  • Change the configuration of the built-in VNC server

I'm experimenting with a code where I want to spend the VNC server inside the workstation 7.1.2 via the VIX API by writing to the runtime configuration variables. Just now using vmrun to do that, but doesn't seem to work. So the commands are:

    vmrun writeVariable runtimeConfig RemoteDisplay.vnc.port 5900

These back via the command readVariable reading shows that they have been properly defined. However before you use VNC viewer to connect to localhost:5900 port fails. On the other hand if I enable it in the comments running via the settings dialog box, I am able to connect to the host via VNC.

Is this a bug, wrong orders or simply not taken care of?

    Hi DaveP,

I think that would fall under "not supported" for now.

In my view, the component of VNC server of the running virtual machine process reads these configuration values only when the process starts up (so when you turn on or resume the virtual machine) and then is configured correctly. He will not change his report based on these being defined via vmrun (values are basically just put in a database in memory, there is nothing to say the re component - check the values once you make those calls).

Basically, the VNC server cannot be configured (enabled or disabled) when running. You will need to power off the virtual machine, change the configuration file and power then turn it back on.

OK, that last paragraph is not really true, since you can configure the runtime through the user interface. But, it is true, then it's vmrun or VIX. So, the primary response is the same: 'not supported '.

  • The former "cannot change the power state of virtual machine: the process has exited with an error: end of the error message" thing again (Fedora 8/Server 1.08)

OK, this problem beautifully undescriptive I've seen caused by what seems to be dozens of things happening for me.

I made the mistake of horrible update my FC8 kernel to the latest one (2.6.26.8 - 57.fc8).  Mind you, that's all that's changed.  It was with a 1.06 server with happiness and perfectly good computers running virtual in use before the upgrade.

After the new kernel and reboot, I had to rebuild vmmod.  I had to get a fix of any - any later that I used with my previous kernel (116 does not solve the problem of compiling) so I used all-any117d.  Update like a champion.

Try to turn on a VM and Ihanta!, the above error.

    Nothing else was changed.

I tried the upgrade to VMware Server 1.08.  Used all-new any117d - update OK.

    Error again.

I have re-run the compilation, this time to say 'yes' to what the installation script to "adjust the permissions of all virtual machines in xxxlist" or whatnot.

    Error again.

FWIW, I compile as long as root, but have always run VMware server from my UID nonroot.

    What now?

    I'm in the same boat.  Fedora 8 2.6.26.8 - 57.fc8 #1 SMP

I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling v1.0.6 thru 1.0.8 with all 116 updates and 117d.   117D compiles with every version of server but when I try to turn on a virtual computer I get this error.

Cannot change the power state of virtual machine: the process has exited with an error:

vmxvmdb: name of the Index generated by the configuration file

POST (no connection): Version mismatch with vmmon module: expected 138.0, obtained 168.0.

You have a bad version of the module kernel "vmmon.

    Try reinstalling VMware Server.

POST (no connection): failed to initialize the surveillance apparatus.

Failed to initialize the virtual machine.

    End of the error message.

I found several posts other people have this problem but

they are months with no recent activity and nothing that solved the problem.  I found appeared

to get a fix, one updated the all an update that corrects the problem for

2.6.26 performing several nuclei, but the link for the update on TI-psycho appears to be dead.  Here is the link to the discussion

Of course, I would like to know how to solve this problem as well.

  • JDeveloper 11.1.2.1.0 cannot change the config of the subversion client

I would like to change the configuration of subversion client to activate auto-les accessories but cannot find an option to do this in JDeveloper. Tools-> Preferences...-> Versioning-> Subversion-> General does appear to have an option to change the settings of the server. Anyone know how I can change the configuration of subversion by JDev client?

What I'm saying is that SVNKit (the Java library that JDeveloper uses his abilities SVN) does not require a config file, but I don't think (you should test) that it would use an if it existed.

  • Cannot change the location of the directory '< location software library > '.

Grid 11g, I want to modify or remove a software library, via the interface (implementation service-administration), grid control, but it is in use. Any idea where I can find how it is being used and by what?

    error:
Cannot change the location of the directory "< location of library software >. The location of the directory is currently being used by one or more entities.

    Martin

If you want to delete a directory of software library I think there first purged/deleted. Check http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17559_01/em.111/e16599/appdx_sw_lib.htm chapter delete and purge of the entities software library and chapter configuration out of a location of library software.

Images can be stored in the software library and is, my words, checked template that allows you to quickly set up a new environment. This can be a database, the server of the OAS, material etc..

  • Cannot change the password using the question of security in l/min.

We have an identity server. We have a lost password management application. There is a webpass and a webgate configured for the application of the LPM. The mode of communication is simple. The forgotten password feature does not work for the application of the LPM.

    Steps to re-create the issue
    --------------------------------------
-In the form of connection, the user clicks on "I forgot my password"link
-User enter 'User ID' and then click on submit
-It redirects the user to a page of challenge question, the answer to the question the user and click on submit
-The next page confirms the user had correctly answered the secret question. And invite the user to enter the new password, retype the password, and then click Save
-When, click Save shows "cannot change the password. The screen is refreshed. The new password is not saved.

    Identity & Webpass - 10.1.4.2 BP08 Server version

    Thank you.

    Hello

For the LPM error "cannot change the password" check if you set a "minimum age" in the definition of the strategy of password.
"If you set a minimum age of 2 days for example, the user will not be able to change his or her password before 2 days after the initial setting of the password and you will have 'identity/oblilx/logs/oblog.log' shows: ERROR 0 x 00000901 lost_pwd_mgmt.cpp:264 'cannot change password' loginName ^ xxxxx" in oblog.log

--> In our POC password minimum age has been set, and we have forgotten that we have in him... This is why we hade this error on the LPM scenario...
--> After setting the minimum age to 0, the scenario LPM works every time

Sign of your ID, then click on my Apple ID and change the ID (you can not change if it's an address to iCloud)

  • Good for laptop - cannot change the ISP; keep returning to a previous provider

Windows 7 laptop of my grandson, I'm migrating FIREFOX (excellent resource!) of my aging XP desktop. An existing Mozilla installation on the guarded device tries to connect to an ISP in Sydney (1000km) which kept out, I guess because the signal is too weak. Too far - on the Internet?

Reinstalled my new ISP contact, reinstalled a fresh copy of Firefox, copied the old profile XP (just underneath the random string file name), but cannot change the fault. Firefox at startup tries to raise the old ISP (Sydney) and expires, and then allowing me to establish a manual connect with the ISP (my current) new.
Perhaps a clue: in my Firefox troubleshooting info, change preferences, the browser start page is the address of 'old', with 'override mstone' ignore, what look like prints of registry entries, but I can't change all that - and maybe it's wise! An annoying secondary question: on arrival, the laptop listed no administrator user. So I am me came as an administrator, but I wonder if a past or current even Admin hidden could register (or other) entered resistant to change.

Late discovery: the laptop is apparently infected with browser pirate btsearch.name. Search Google throws a series of removal procedures, and I'm now working through them.
    What Miss me?

Sometimes a problem with Firefox can be a result of malware installed on your computer, you may not be aware of.

You can try these free programs to search for malicious software that work with your existing anti-virus software:

Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP, if you do not already have one.

More information can be found in the article troubleshooting Firefox problems caused by malware .
