MShome suddenly cannot see my computer or other people on the network since downloading the last XP updates

This morning my XP machine could see my Windows7, another XP machine and my own machine on the network.
Mine and the other XP are on MSHOME

After that improvement with the last XP fixed, it cannot see any other machine on the network, including himself.

Tried the wizard network on my machine
Apply the seven 2011 Msoft fixit.

Restored the machine backwards from 5 days.

Still no luck

Any ideas?

I have reset the router and everything is now OK :(

I use RoboHelp 10 HTML to publish WebHelp on a network server.

When I use the Hyperlink dialog box, select the link to: 'File', then navigate to the desired topic. I click on the 'Open' button to return to the Hyperlink dialog box. When I click on the 'OK' button, nothing happens, except a color change indicating I am in contact with the key.

    Hello

If you are allowing others to use the computer, set up a new account for each user.  They would then not be able to display your desktop or Skype messages.

  • Error: "your computer is offline, please enter the last password used on this computer ' while trying to connect to Win8 PC using MS Account.

Original title: necessary emergency assistance, cannot log on to pc, password not recognized

Last week, I bought a brand new model of laptop Asus K55A.  All had been working fine without any problems, but when I tried to connect today (after previously working well earlier today a stop and then restart a few hours later) I could not signed.  The message I get is: "your computer is offline, please enter the last password used on this computer" OR "that password is incorrect.  Make sure that you use the password to your account Microsoft "and then gives the address to visit to reset the password as an option.

I am now on a different pc and (after literally hours of trial and error messages on the site of Microsoft live!) have managed to reset my password - obviously successful because I used it to connect to this form.  However, when I restart and try to connect to my own laptop, I just get the same thing.  It is not to recognize the new password!  As I am the ONLY user on my laptop has no way for me to go at all!  Help, please.  Without him recognize the new password, my new laptop is completely useless!

NB: I'm not too so there are a limited number of questions technical I can answer, however the above should give you the gist of the question, if all goes well computer savvy.  Windows 8 is the operating system in question, btw.

"PROBLEM SOLVED-"your PC is disconnected"Message in Windows 8.
Here's how I fixed my Asus laptop, but works the same on all the others, I'm sure. Easy instructions are here:
    www.nextofwindows.com/How-to-deal-with-your-PC-is-Offline-message-in-Windows-8/
I went to the Business Center at the apt community I live in, pulled the decision-making network of one of their boxes and plugged my laptop, efficiently connect to their internet. I did not stop their computer, I just it out and put it in my laptop. Then I logged on my laptop with my hotmail account. It was all she wanted. I was in!
I disconnected and close my laptop. And reconnect their their pc network cable.
I pulled my laptop to make sure, it was fixed, and it is. Awsome. We had to plug into a network with a network cable, taking care of her.
You have no idea how long it took me to find this simple answer. Their positions are everywhere and people are being told to wipe their readers or buy a piece of a $30 software.

Why I see a large increase in SPAM in the last days? The Apple Mail application had always done a better job by sending these things to the older junk - now, I receive a lot of junk in my Inbox.

Spammers find new ways to pass the time. Mark as not junk and see if the Mail finds new messages. If it appears undesirable filtering does not work, open the preferences of Mail to spam filtering and make sure this option is enabled. Is he is and it seems again that it does not work, you can reset the junk e-mail filter. Downside is that you will lose all that he learned in the past.

  • Why the last OS update cost me gigabytes of data when you are connected directly to my computer and ISP via Itunes February 29, 2016

Why the last OS update cost me gigabytes of data when you are connected directly to my computer and ISP via Itunes.  29 February 2016

While it is connected to ITunes via my Dell system, I was informed of the latest OS update for my IPhone 6.  I decided that the direct connection to the internet would be the fastest way to download and install the software.  During the process I started to have some warning of our AT & T account that I approach the limit of our data plan, then in quick succession, only warnings, said I've reached the limit and then passed in the data, limit charges.  At the time it was done, I had accumulated more than 2 gigabytes of additional data charges.

Until that point, I was very pleased with the device and confident in the ability to use Wifi and data.  Due to this incident, I became very suspicious of the camera and the huge potential for data overcharges. It is extremely disconcerting as it happened while it is directly connected to the internet using my computer at home.

Please note that, in the episode my ISP and the computer is remained connected to the WEB with no sign of connectivity issues.

Someone at - he had a similar experience and understand what went wrong?

    Thanks for your support,

You have chosen the option of direct download, you have received a message of warning from AT & T about it yet.

He did what you asked it to do.

    Clarification:
Windows Vista is preinstalled on this system?

If I read (and cited only) correctly - Yes, which is not going to work.  The license for Windows Vista was related to the Compaq system motherboard.  If you had that repaired under warranty, HP? Compaq could have helped you.  As you have created a new machine (motherboard especially) now, you will need to purchase a new license for Windows Vista or any other operating system of your choice.

You could, I suppose, buy the OEM of Windows 8 version.  You will have the same problem later (OEM licenses is related to the first motherboard it is installed and activated with.)

  • My computer seems to have forgotten the last 2 years +. He welcomed me to my new Dell this morning.

I downloaded programs are listed as coming out on my hard drive, but most of them will not work (you can double click on them but nothing happens).

All my favorites are gone, my image of the desktop shortcuts on my desktop, my music library - all gone.

    Why? How?

So should I start over?  I would say that 85% of the stuff that I seem to have lost was not backed up. (I guess I learned my lesson)

    Help, please.

    Thanks again.

I don't know how, but my computer behaves normally.  For the time being.

I will absolutely go on the suggestions you offer because now I'm a little paranoid that it could happen again.  The first thing I did was to create a restore point: If if my computer has forgotten who I am and what we do for 2 years, I have little confidence it will me humor by remembering a restore point.

If you're curious, I rebooted this safe but when mode with the option of fixing my computer immediately the bat, I chose that.  Asked me to log in as an administrator, but it did not recognize my password.  I tried to log in under the other two profiles, but none of the passwords (the correct password, I wasn't guessing) have been recognized.  Finally, the system gave to my never be able to give the password so he wanted the window closed, and I was introduced to the usual start with the usual 3 Profiles screen.  I logged in that I normally use and! Hey presto! everything was back to normal.

I'm not lying or mistaken when I say that the first thing I did when the problem occurred was to log on as a different user because I assumed that I had signed in under a different profile.  I logged in again under the correct profile, but everything was gone.

    I find it incredibly mysterious.

But thank you a thousand times for having given me so many great tips.

    See you soon,.

  • Other people sees the start of the Transflective TFT on Qosmio X 300

    Hello

I would like to know if other people are able to see the start of the Transflective TFT on the Toshiba Qosmio X 300.
A in addition explained; When I press the power button the Transflective TFT is on a few seconds after that.

I see the TFT created a short "liquid" as black / gray filling the screen before the Post / bios is visible.
It looks a bit like a black / gray "wave'that is visible for a very short period and must have something to do with the power of the Panel TFT."

Problably it is normal when using the Transflective TFT, but I'm not familiar with this guy in a notebook.
In addition when windows Vista starts the Transflective TFT will be powered on once more before that round Vista logo is visible in
    the middle of the screen.

If it's a common thing that I'm fine with that.
Hope to hear from other owners of Qosmio.

    with respect,

  • computer does not start after the installation of updates

Just click on the button "installs the update and the computer shuts down."  When the computer turns off automatically, I pushed the power button and now it is frozen the computer in start mode.  What should I do now?  Can I power off and try again (or which will mess up the configuration of the update that he just installed.

Note: There are 21 updates installed last night without problem; then 1 update again (that set up correctly when I restarted this morning).  After a successful this morning launch, I noticed there was an another update to install, which is what made me at this point.

Single computer at home (I use my work computer to submit this application).

Wait awhile and see if, during the initialization of the problem to be solved or not. It is NOT a good idea to unplug the laptop.

If this does not work, then try to press F8 and choose last known good configration, but you may need to reinstall the update again.

Both solutions online, thank you.  The last time he did this, we manually close it and it caused all sorts of things for not being straight including a place to restore and we had re configure internet explore.  How can you re start without shutting it down?

    Hello

You must close it restart if it is frozen

1st thing to try is a restoration of the system in safe mode

    http://www.windowsvistauserguide.com/system_restore.htm

    Windows Vista

    Using the F8 method:

    1. Restart your computer.
    2. When the computer starts, you will see your computer hardware are listed. When you see this information begins to tap theF8 key repeatedly until you are presented with theBoot Options Advanced Windows Vista.
    3. Select the Safe Mode option with the arrow keys.
    4. Then press enter on your keyboard to start mode without failure of Vista.
    5. To start Windows, you'll be a typical logon screen. Connect to your computer and Vista goes into safe mode.
    6. Do whatever tasks you need and when you are done, reboot to return to normal mode.
