  • Warning message that we had been hacked.

We have 10.7.5 we received a message that the system had been hacked and we should call it an 877 number to talk to the Apple support.  I turned the computer off for the night. Today, when restarting the message was gone.  I was able to run Sophos Anti-virus that does no threats.  Does this sound familiar to others?  Is it a scam?  What should I do when I get a warning message?

It is a SCAM, never all pay attention to these messages. In addition, uninstall Sophos following the instructions of developers. OS X has no need of the AV, cleaning or ANY, repeat ANY utility of third maintenance party. OS X is extremely secure and performs better if left totally alone. Sophos at best worthless and at worst will cause problems with your system.

  • How to find the window of warning messages in Firefox 10.0.2?

For some reason any (I disabled something I didn't), I need to find the section settings for the browser Warning Messages; However, when I go to Tools - Options - Security, is there no warning Messages section. Could someone let me know where to look for it?

  • How can I change the settings on Firefox 5 Warning Messages?

I wonder why the options to turn these warning messages whenever you enter or leave an encrypted page, etc., are more included in this version. Is it still possible to rework her these settings with Firefox 5?

The settings for warning messages have been removed from the UI (Bug 513166).

You must change preferences related security.warn_* directly on the topic: config page.

    Filter: security.warn

To open the topic: config page, type Subject: config in the address bar (address) and press the 'Enter' key, as you type the url of a Web site to open a Web site.

  • An apple user received a warning message that his phone has been compromised and that it has to download a program before it can use Safari if his picture files will be in danger of being stolen. What should do?

What to do if you got a warning message of * onlinegmz.com

as your phone is being hacked and you need to download a program to protect the data of the phone and photos to be hacked?

This occurs whenever you try to use safari (this is what happened to a friend)

< link published by host >

    It's a scam.

Go to settings - Safari - clear the history and data from the Web site.

If that doesn't work, reset your device. This will not erase your data stored on the phone.

    • Press and hold the sleep/wake button
    • Press and hold the Home button
    • Press and hold both buttons until the display turns off and on again with the Apple logo on the subject.

Alternatively, you can go to settings - general - reset - Reset all settings

To be on the safe side, you can restore your device to factory settings. Please note that this will delete the data on your device.

Take a look this Apple Support article: use iTunes to restore the iPhone, iPad or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support.

    Colin B

    Hello Colin

Portable described behavior is specific to the overheating of the material. If the laptop is not properly cooled the temperature of the material at the level critical and just turns off without warning.

Solution is cleaning. The device must be cleaned and dust should be removed. After doing this unit can take a new breath and you won't have this problem again. You will see that run cooling fan will also soften than before.

    Good bye

  • How to display a warning message when someone tries to stop .vi?

I have an instrument that generates at the rate of several per second .dat files.  The device stores the files on a PC.  The PC has a LabVIEW .vi which checks the new .dat files.  If a file is found, the .vi reads data, calculates a value, then deletes the file.  If the LV application is stopped by a person until the unit is off, the hard drive fills up within hours.

The .vi is configured to run at the opening, but I need a pop up warning message in case someone tries to stop the vi.

    Any suggestions?

    Hi epster,

No, the button abandon won't get caught by it. But you must hide the toolbar in any case when the vi is running...

  • I get a warning message: for maximum output connect a higher capacity adapter. How can I stop this message?

I want to just disable the warning message if she will keep; arise constantly!

    Moved to windows

    Hello

There are several reasons that you get this message.

    1. you are on a low voltage line or something in the line a/c, such a power strip,
is in fact lower the available voltage. Try plugging the computer directly in
wall socket and try several on different lines of a/c.

    2. There is a BIOS problem. Check with the manufacturer of the BIOS update system.

    3. the a/c adapter is really too low to power the computer. It should be
a replacement adapter. (This assumes that it is quite a problem with adapter and not 1, 2, or)
    4.)

    4. There is a problem of draining power on the computer for which you need technical
supported. Could be the power supply, motherboard, video card, or all high drain
device. (This assumes that 1, 2 and 3 are not at stake).

Check with a real computer store, the other his own Department on this
brand or in support of the real machine system. You could also ask in their forums,
If so, to see if others have had similar problems with this model.

    I hope this helps.

  • HP 600-1350 PC: erronious warning message that is causing me to have to restart without reason

AT & T has had a wide spead failure last week that caused an interruption of 27 hours of my Uverse cable - int. - phone. After this event, which started my Hp 600-3550 PC, he displayed a warning message stating basically that I had a defective Ethernet cable connected to my all-in-one wireless Desk Top. This message is not until I left my CV go quiet for an hour or two. When I go back and press the space bar to continue... There is the warning, causing me to have to restart. I ran my diagnosis/Hp recovery disk and it reports all is well except anything to do with the 3D which I never use. I say the message is erronious is because there is no no. Ethernet cable going into my desk Top. Only a printer - Scanner (usb) and antenna (co - ax) broadcast (for cable outages) and of course the power cord.

Any suggestions on how to get rid of the warning of Billboard?  Oh! Of course, there is the Ethernet cable from the ATT case on the side of my house... in the House and my wireless modem.

    Comments and ideas

You can restart all - everything connected to the AT & T bits and which includes the Modem and your box AT & T U-Verse, too, if you can't stand to do.  The problem with the U-Verse stuff is that he doesn't like outages of electricity and stuff tends to miss a bit catastrophic subsequently.  I realize your computer and your printer are not connected to the U-Verse box is said by the way.  The smile.

When you shut it down, wait a few minutes - say about three minutes.

Things U-Verse, modem - box, then you started home router if you have a separate system... Then the computer.  Finally, assuming that the computer starts and allows you to start the printer.

If you have one of your own cables connecting all to nothing, consider replacing them.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You must make sure that your file system is healthy.  Look for other problems in the system.

Take a look at the following - and really watch the suggestions, take appropriate action:
