MTS reading accident first Pro CC

Hello users,.

I've upgraded to the latest version of first Pro CC. recently, I noticed that playing MTS files blocking my first session. A window appears that informed me that the application has encountered an error and needs to close.

Import MTS files brings no question. First only acts upward when I try to read them.

The MTS files worked in past iterations of first (5.5, 6) so I wonder when this problem appeared.

Thank you!

  • Adding a RAID card to help speed up the export (and another question reader) in first Pro CC

First of all, I read the Page Tweakers export section because that is my main concern is. First my questions, then the background and my current and proposed configurations:

Question 1: Adding a hardware RAID controller, for example an LSI MegaRAID will sufficiently remove the burden of parity management CPU on my RAID 5 software that the CPU will jump of joy and export faster?

Question 2: If true for above, then compare thoughts on adding smaller SSD for either a RAID 0 or less two RAID 0 volume volume complete HDD RAID 5. In other words, I think the purchase of four Samsung 850 Pro 128 GB SSD to put in a four disk volume to handle everything (projects/media, media, previews, export cache), or split it into two volumes of two disks of each and divide the tasks, or keep the idea of volume four disc and previews and exports on my drive HARD RAID 5 array.

The 850 are valued at SEQ write: 550 / 470 MB/s so I could get around 2000 / 1500 MB/s read/write to a disk four RAID 0 or 1/2 who, if I divided in two volumes to minimize the volume of read/write at the same time, if it really matters with these SSD?

The Tweaker page made some comments. A split is carried out the tasks between different drives, rather than a large effective RAID can really slow things down. Because SSDS are much faster than a single HARD disk, I think its more accurate than so I'm leaning towards the configuration of four discs put OS & programs on the C drive, media & projects on media on SSD (2 disks RAID 0) Cache and D (HDD RAID 5), file exchange & Previews & export on 2nd SSD RAID 0 (or combine the two RAID 0 and their functions).

Just trying to get a point of view here, since I have not bought anything yet. Any experience/stories, I would be grateful.

    My current setup of training:

My D drive is a software RAID 5 consisting of four 1 TB Western Digital RE4 (RED) 7200 RPM hard drives with CrystalDiskMark SEQ read/write of 339 / 252 MB/s.

The C drive is 500 GB SSD (Samsung 840 (not Pro) and fact 531 / 330 MB/s.) My OS, Program Files and Page file are on C and media data/files/projects, etc. that are all about the RAID drive.

    Problem:

Current configuration allows for smooth installation, just export seems slow, usually taking between two and two and a half times the video length to export. Thus, a 10 minute video takes 20-30 minutes for export. 15 minute video can take 30-40 minutes to export. The first 10% of the export of re-encoding takes less than a minute (seems fast), but it becomes slower when the final 10 or 20 percent may hang for several minutes as my system is running out of steam. So, where's the waste?

I activated the hardware acceleration (because the GPU hack my GPU is not listed) and it can break through to 25% use a few times and eat up to 600 MB of VRAM (I have 2 GB of VRAM), otherwise it is slowed down export set. The CPU can boost at 50%, but it seems either too busy.

Our calendar is simple with two video and two audio streams (a little music and especially the voices), with simple transitions (jump cuts or cross dissolves). Sometimes, we fast correct color, so that could use the GPU? Also, given that we are filming in 1080 P 60 p and 1080 export 29.97 FPS, I think who is scaling and using the GPU. I know that without the GPU, it takes much longer. I excluded buy a faster GPU because it doesn't seem to be breaking a sweat. I just need to know if my system is a bottleneck at the level of the disk hard because I am using software RAID and my disks are slow and hardware RAID will considerably reduce the processor load so it can export more quickly.

Our files are not huge in nature. Most of our clips are several MBs each. Total files in the project are between 5 GB and 10 GB for each video with Windows Media File export being 500 MB to 1.2 GB on average. Look using Panasonic Camcorders, so the original files are AVCHD, I think (.) MTS files?).

    Considerations:

    1. I think to buy (and future proofing) a LSI Logic MegaRAID 9361-8i is 12 Gb/s SAS and SATA (because some SSD current can exceed the standard 6 Gbps).

    2. I will not replace my current HDD RAID 5 as not in my budget to spend 6 or more large SSD. These discs are more important to me for temporary storage because I delete files saved once. I don't mind a few smaller SSD inexpensive if they can make a significant difference for editing and export.

I can only guess my RAID HDD is slow but the CPU is burdened by parity. I guess running RAID 10 would not really help.

    My configuration:

    my configuration:

    CPU - CPU i7 - 3930K @4.5 GHz

    RAM - G.SKILL Ripjaws Z Series 32 GB (4 x 8 GB) DDR3 2133 @2000

    Motherboard - ASUS P9X79 WS LGA 2011

GPU - Gigabyte GeForce GTX 660 OC 2 GB (performed the hack of compatibility list to activate hardware acceleration).

    Drive C - 500 GB Samsung SSD (programs and Windows 7 Pro 64-bit) 840.

D drive - four 1 TB WD RE4 enterprise hard drives 7200 rpm in RAID 5 software

Box - Cooler Master HAF X

CPU fan - Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO with 120 mm fan

Power - series Pro Corsair AX 850 watts 80 Plus Gold

    Optical drive - Pioneer BDR - 208DBK

    Thanks in advance,

OK, after overload of information on everything I tried (free), which might be my answer here. I went from codecs to export. When you use Windows Media File, Premiere Pro seems chugging along much slower than when you use the h.264 (not h.264 Blu - Ray). I don't know if it's because Microsoft has found a way to break it or what. But I'm the CPU usage of 70-85% on the 2 Pass of 2 as well as the use of the memory of 40% (or 12 GB). It exported in 14 minutes. Woo - hoo. I then did a similar test using Windows Media File. It took 31 minutes to export. The CPU has spent much of his time in the 30%, especially down in the 1930s mid-1940s with spike for memory usage was only 24% to 35% and 50%. Since then, I've read how h.264 codec is 'plu' for online files. It compresses better with less compression artifacts. He seems better, etc. Well, they both seemed on the same thing for me. I play both on my TV 70 "before I could comment further. In the future, I will consider a RAID controller and upgrade the HDDs to SSDS.

  • How to use the mts files in first pro cc?

    Hello

need help to get started with cc. I used the first cs5 for a school project, now, I started a cc membership and downloaded the first yesterday. Now, whenever I start it, it crashes instantly as soon as I put a mts file in the timeline, attempted several times. I have can´t open my projects cs5 in it either.

No idea what to do here? I also used a cs6 trial version, but only once, I might never reopen, a video driver issue according to some advice I found (I have a computer hp envy laptop). Seems difficult, and I need to work with it urgently.

In cs5, you have this popup where to fill the framerate and stuff, like mpeg4, before starting, didn t happen in cc...?

    Thanks, Anna

The Module failed (amdocl64.dll) comes from your AMD/ATI Catalyst video driver.

I would go to the Device Manager, do note the model of your AMD/ATI card, and then click it, go to the driver and take note of the installed video/Catalyst driver version. Next, go to the site Web of AMD and the Driver Downloads. Plug your model of AMD/ATI card and then your operating system and search for a newer driver from catalyst. Download and install cela, restart and test.

    Good luck

  • Operating system. We have first Pro CS6 and Windows 7 32 bit. It will not be installed

    Dell laptop Latitude 6420

    Windows 7 Professional

    8 GB Ram

A user in PR must use Adobe first Pro CS6. However, when we tried to install the program is grayed out and displays a warning icon. If I hover over there is a message that says that he prefers the 64-bit. Rather not say will not work in my opinion. However it will not be installed.

I read that first Pro is 64-bit on another web site. Is this true? There must be a solution.

On the Adobe site, I saw that the installation of CS4 first was the work around, but you must purchase a license key. We have already purchased the Premier Pro and have no money in the budget to buy an old product when it should work.

Help, please. I'm under a lot of pressure to solve this problem

    James

Premiere Pro CS6 is a 64-bit software and will only install on a 64-bit computer. There is no way around that.

64-bit Windows required. After Effects and Premiere Pro CS5.5 and CS6

  • Help, please! Video type MTS have no audio after having imported the first Pro CS6

The MTS files are used by SONY, Canon and Panosonic camcorders to store HD videos encoded with AVCHD.

I can play these videos using Windows Media Player and the sound works fine. They also work in Windows Movie Maker. Why they do not work in first Pro CS6?

As I went through this forum, it seems that I need to downgrade to CS5.5?

After reading the forums, I found a very easy solution! And I don't take any credit for it.

Download the software and convert AVCHD to WMV files without loss! Phew!

  • the adobe reader of adobe purchased but installed standard first pro. now, the 'pro' trial has expired and I can't use the "standard" functions

I bought the adobe reader from adobe but installed standard first pro. now, the 'pro' trial has expired and I can't use the "standard" functions How can I solve this in order to use Adobe Standard - one that I bought?

    Hi Jodie,

There is no standard to pro versions of Adobe Reader.

You have downloaded the Acrobat version which is paid instead of Adobe Reader software.

As the trial has expired, then you won't be able to use it unless you have purchased the product.

However, you can download Adobe Reader for free using this link Adobe Acrobat Reader DC install for all versions.

  • First Pro CC2015 update: no reading and the program hangs at the end

I just updated my first Pro CC2015.  I can't get any video for playback at all within the program, and when I eventually leave the program it just freezes and I have to force to leave.  I use an end of 2013 Mac Pro, 3.7 GHz, 32 GB of Ram.

It seems that he was trying to use my Logitech camera as input device and I couldn't change other parameters.  As soon as I got the Logitech camera - reading has worked well.

  • Impossible to import the MTS with first Pro CC (2014)

I have the problem with first Pro CC (2014) and Media Encoder CC (2014). "Compression of media is not supported" (or something like that, it's in German...)

After effects CC (2014) and Prelude CC (2014) there is no problem to import these files.

MTS to a Panasonic SC-V550, files from a folder structure of AVCHD, 1080 p 50 fps.

I already did a project with the file of the theses in first Pro CC a few months ago!

    Hi Das modular,

Move media to another directory, drive, or simply change the name of the folder where your media. You should be able to import the files after that.

    Thank you

  • First Pro CC and the lack of audio tracks for .mts files

    Hello guys,.

I used to edit my files .mts with first Pro CC with no problems until yesterday.

Now I import my file .mts (made with a Sony VG900), but the first does not recognize the audio tracks (which I hear fine with VLC).

I tried changing the extension in .m2ts, but he did not, I also tried to reinstall the first but, even once, it didn't work and I tried (I was desperate) to install the CS6 first just to check if the problem is maybe about the CC version. Guess what? It did not work...

I tried also to convert the file with the encoder in .mp4, but after the conversion, I can't hear the sound with VLC and, of course, this does not work on the first.

Don't you think it's a first question or a problem of file?

I used these same files for other videos (as a http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H1X5vsZ-5yI) and I had no problem. Then I updated the first, I moved the files in the other folder, and the problem came to life.

    Any idea?

(I'm waiting for my colleague to send me a new mts file just to check if I accidentally damaged the 'old').

  • First Pro CC, Dolby Digital missing license for MTS / audio AVCHD import?

    Hello

I'm in first Pro CC on Mac 10.8.4 importer MTS files captured on a new camcorder Panasonic of with V720 who recorded MTS / AVCHD files.

When I add my project files or drop them on the timeline, the video looks fine but there is no audio data and I get the warning message:

"This facility doesn't have a license to decode the Dolby Digital audio".

I tried to move from 5.1 to 2 channel audio on the camera where it is the question, without change.

The file plays fine on mac with VLC Player or MPlayer - mplayer's audio decoding with FFmpeg AC-3 codec. I imported the MTS files created with other devices (but probably with different audio codecs) first very well with my current setup.

Any suggestions to get this video and audio working properly?

    Thank you!

    Hello world

I had the same issues. MTS files with the caveat of Dolby. The solution is simple, and it would be wise to Adobe to communicate this more clearly:

Apparently, our institution has got two codes license. In one, you, Premiere pro, but not a full working version! The problems that you all adhere to this code. I also had problems do not output MPEG2. So I went to look further on the net and found this on two license codes... Now, with the new code, I output MPEG2, and I can handle it. MTS files...

I hope that I helped you with that!

  • First pro CC (2014) problems with the audio on the .mts files

    Hello

He is a recent problem I had when trying to play some clips in first Pro CC (2014), I import the entire private folder and some game clips as normal and others seem to have ignored audio. This causes the second half of the video for do not have audio in there at all because it's boots upwards initially. I don't know even where to start by trying to solve the problem, the only thing I've done is re import the files and put them into new folders to change the destination, it was imported from.

Any advice would be extremely useful as it is above all preventing me from getting any work.

    Thank you!

    Hi amber1992,

I will suggest you to go ahead and clean the media cache and cache media files folders manually.

MAC OS: Click the go menu > go to files > ~/Library type, and then click ok. This open the user's library folder and then access the Application Support > Adobe > commune > media Cache and the Cache of media files. Delete all the files in these folders.

Windows: C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Common or you can click on the Start button and search for type %appdata%\microsoft\windows\sendto and the Roaming folder > Adobe > commune > media Cache and the Cache of media files.

Once done the project again and check.

    Kind regards

    Vinay
