MUI (multilingual user interface) - it is possible to load the necessary software to a machine running XP to corespond in other languages (Japanese, specifically)?

I am currently a student on a course of Japanese language. I use a homemade computer and it runs under Windows XP. I would like to be able to correspond with people living in Japan, with Japanese text (Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji). I understand that I need a MUI (multilingual user interface). Is it possible to install the software on my computer? Another possibility, what is the most effective way to achieve this? I live in England and computers do not come with this already installed. -Thanks in advance - Fred.

Windows Vista supports other languages, EU Vista has Pack (Multilingual) user who allows to easily switch between the published language (after download of course). And other editions of Vista have Language Pack (LIP) that is somewhat similar, but I'm not sure what the difference between the two, coz previously I used just MUI.

Hi all
We have a lot of users and clients connecting in EMEA and APAC countries, where English is not the first language.
According to me, one of the priorities for Oracle with Eloqua may make available multilingual user interface. This could be just wishful thinking on my part it would be a PRECIOUS help. I am particularly interested in the Japan because it is where my team.
Someone has information (or even a guess) on Eloqua UI being developed in several languages? Estimated time?

It's actually one of our top priorities at the moment and we have a dedicated team working on it. One of the huge benefits of the Oracle acquisition of are that they have this down to a science, and there is a very large Department and the 'translation' machine dedicated to this purpose. Are some primary steps in making this real.

-First of all, the user interface of the platform should be built in such a way that labels or text can be programmatically extracted and replaced. New Eloqua screens built in the style of HTML5 had this integrated review there are only a few tweaks to do there. Some of the screens that have been longer require more effort to make this possible, but we know what we need to do. The platform must also be able to capture, store and display international characters, Eloqua has been able to do for a long time, we are there.

-Secondly, there is a solid approach to the identification of 'culture' (country + language) of the user wishes to use and carry through their session. We use the term culture because it is not only dependent on the language or dependent countries. A simple example of this would be British for numbers, dates, and currencies style even if the language is English. We have this understood as well

-Finally, we need the real user interface translation to do - and it is where Oracle really helps to join us. They have a team of translators from around the world who will make this part for us, with the participation as required according to the specific terms the business context.

The big question is more clearly when and what languages. That I can not commit at this stage that we're still relatively early in the project, but the general feeling is that one should be able to complete the work required in steps 1 & 2 and get some initial language translations "tier 1" made at the start of next year. Once again, it is what we are organizing a view of road map, but please do not take it as a commitment as a variety of internal or external factors may change the "timing".

User interface changes after an upgrade of the DBMS/Apex

My Organization recently migrated to Oracle 11 g 12 c and Apex 3.1.2 to 4.2.5.00.08 when we moved to a new server. There is an old Apex application of 6 years who now has the following when open to 42.0 Firefox:
1. the page appears with the right pair of blue no white background.
2. the tabs also have a background white, but taken sandwiched between 2 small images at the beginning and the end of the tab.
3. the same white background is in all regions; That is to say, none of the regions have the correct background color that is there on the old server. And the bottom of buttions is also white, so they all appear as text with a small image at the beginning and at the end, just like the tabs.
This application uses the blue and Tan - theme 2, which contains a custom page template that is based on 'a level Tabs '. Header section of this model makes reference to theme_3_1_GNT.css, which is a modification to a built-in css css this body tag contains a reference to the required blue background color: background-color: #003399 and I've confirmed that this css is in the correct path on the new server. The models used for the regions of the page are: region between square brackets, forms area, Navigation area and region reports.
The pages also contain a jpg image at the top containing the name of the application, which displays correctly. This image was imported into the application itself.
The application seems to work OK except for these user interface problems.
So if the model is the same as on the old server and the css is the same, what is causing this problem?
I suspect that the solution is simple and some of the problems may have to do with how the game of the tab has been implemented, but I have not used this tool in so many years that I can not find the cause.
If I missed some piece of information you need to resolve this, let me know.

As the appearance of the page with this lack of resources is exactly as you described initially, I suspect strongly that independently have "confirmed that this css is in the correct path on the new server" that it is not loaded. What browser do you use? Use its tools of web inspector to check on the status of the application of the style sheet.

It is unclear what you are asking, but if the question is (retired), the can transfer songs that are on an iPod nano (and nowhere else) to my current computer?

You cannot use iTunes. By design, iTunes sync is generally in one direction, from your computer to the iPod. The exception is purchased songs on the iTunes Store, iTunes can verify ownership of these songs (command in the menu bar iTunes -> devices-> transfer purchases of [name of the iPod] file). However, there are methods and third party utilities that can transfer from iPod to computer. If you do an Internet search on something like 'the ipod transfer', you should get a few links, including a CNET article.

Once the files of the song on your disc, you can add them to your current iTunes library.

Update Acrobat DC published today (May 10, 2016) introduced a new darker theme. Please open Acrobat DC application and select help > check for updates to apply the latest update (2015.016.20039).

Then go to view > screen theme > dark grey and restart Acrobat.

Step 1. copy the files:
Copy the Utilities\UIExtensions\config\Core\UIExtensionScripts directory and its contents in the \config\Core < PLM4P_Home > directory
Copy the Directory of Utilities\UIExtensions\config\Extensions\UIExtensionScripts and its content in the directory of \config\Extensions < PLM4P_Home >
Copy the following assemblies to the SharedLibs folder of the the Pack of extensibility in the \Web\scrm\bin < PLM4P_Home >, < PLM4P_Home > \Web\gsm\bin or < PLM4P_Home > \Web\npd\bin directories:
- PLM4PExtensionUtils.dll
- ScriptingUtils.dll
- UserInterfaceExtensions.dll

I work with an application based on the model of Shell user interface design.
My use case is
#1: start a tab Dynamics from the Navigation pane.
#2: tab loads in the local area. (this works as expected, pictured below)
#3: launch of the additional tabs in the page loading in the step #2. They are triggered by simple links on the .jsff page. (this does not work - please help. This should work? If so, what missing am me?)
Question : Can I launch a new tab from a link component in the local area (page .jsff)?
As you can see I have links on my dashboard and I want that they engage in new tabs when you click. Please test before responding "in theory".
