  History:
  I'm evolving with Push Replication 3.0 (on the example of active-passive incubator box) with the ActiveExampleValue class changed to make 3700 bytes in a serialized form.
  While the replication of 10 000 updates between servers close is almost instantaneous, replication from London to Singapore (ping times ~ 200ms between boxes) takes about 4 minutes to complete (it takes 12 seconds to run the updates locally).
  My understanding is that this is due to the fact that CoherencePublishingService is managed as a single thread by memory cache in order to ensure the order: the maximum bitrate, only one thread can reach between London and Singapore in our network is 400KBytes/sec.
  
  There is certainly more available bandwidth: 4 processes in a London nightclub were simultaneously copying files to the Singapore area each reaching the speed of 400KBytes per second in the absense of compression.
  
  In addition, have updated the example to include two active caches (separate sync: Editor each), two passive hiding and two proxies on the passive side, I was able to transfer updates from 10000 same (5000 for each cache) in 2 minutes and 15 seconds.
  
  Question: Is there another way to grow the multithreaded replication? As push Rep does not order through different entries in the cache, there is no need to be limited to a single thread: potentially, there could be a thread of separate replication for a range of id of the partition.

  Db1 replicates all changes on certain tables in DB2. But I don't want DB2 to propagate the changes to DB1. So, I not create a regular link on DB2 to propagate the changes to DB1. But the deferred transaction queue becomes too large on DB2. How can I fix the DB2 for does not changes to deferred transactions?

  Replication of DB1 to DB2 and allowing updates to local update on DB2 without their spread to DB1 is done with a WRITING of VIEWS MATERIALISEES, not the MultiMaster replication.

  Looks like so there is no way to use vSphere replication to TEST the abilty to toggle, unless you can share the secrets with me.

  If you are using vSphere replication without SRM above it, recovery Test is not available. The process, you can follow in case you do not want your main Web site:

  (1) perform a recovery using the second option (retrieve by using the latest available data). In this way you will not have to power off of the VMs source and your main site will be online.

  (2) when the recovery is complete, stop the replications (which will be in a State of recovery)

  (3) power off VMs recovered, unsubscribe them inventory of VC, but keep the files of disk intact.

  (4) manually configure all repetitions using disks that have been left in the form of initial seeds. This will cause the changes to synchronize.

  In step 4 of ease, you can use the multi-vm replication configuration wizard vSphere. Just make sure that the data store target each disk that will be used as initial copy is put in the folder with the name of the virtual computer. Then, you could try to configure all virtual machines at once, performing the search of seeds and confirming to use.

  After I recovered my system, I spent the last month download stuff against MS.  In desperation, I tried the FIXIT.
  It gets the error code: 16977921-2147023836 and help it.

  I can't most install .NET FRAMEWORK 2.0 and its SP 1 thereto.  The last attempt was an error: '..   If you have installed .NET 3.5, then you already have the layers of version 2.0 and 3.0 since 3.5 is based on previous versions. It just adds new features each time.

• vCenter Server 5.0, 5.5, and SSO deployment Modes

  Just after a few reviews I've seen conflicting opinions on this.

  
  I have half a dozen instances of vCenter server. They are all on the same AD domain but quite geographically dispersed and the links are of variable quality. Each site has its own VC based on vSphere 5.0 on 2008 Server with a separate database providing functions and MS SQL Server. Every VC has its own instance (local) Single Sign On hosted on the local SQL DB. All instances are independent, there is no bound mode and or other dependencies between them. Other than the AD, they are completely isolated. They are also quite low (a few hundred VMs, less than 10 guests).

  I plan to spend 5.5 and considered him my options for SINGLE sign-on. According to the Documentation Center 5.5 I have three options of SSO - Standalone/Basic, high availability, and Multisite.

  
  Ignoring the high availability, I don't know if I should go to basic, with a standalone (local to the VC) SSO to each site or multi-site, with a local SSO to each site but a part of the same domain of SSO authentication.   The multisite configuration will you be gives certain advantages, as built-in multi-master replication automatic which will ensure all SSO cases are always in sync and of course the possibility of using the Mode related to the future, but if it is not important in your environment, the will of stand-alone deployment / Basic works very well.

• Storage on iSCSI - mounted directly from the VMware virtual disks

  I am setting up a HUB/CASE/box Server mailbox of all-in-one for fewer than 500 users on a Windows 2008 R2 virtual machine and am about to configure the storage I need. The two words that I can't wait to hear more from Microsoft PSS is "not recommended" or "not supported." I have a Dell Equalogic PS6000 and have the ability to 'direct attached' compared to the VMware virtual disks for storage of mailbox databases. We run vSphere with vMotion, etc..

  Using virtual disks bad practice? Advantages or disadvantages I should know about? Adding a layer of complexity that might come back to bite me?

  I have a very similar setup and am currently using directly attached iSCSI volumes EqualLogic berries for my Exchange 2007 mailbox stores.  I also have the role of running UNIFIED messaging that works in fact remarkably well even if everything is running on a virtual machine.

  It was in large part because the EqualLogic recommendations had to use directly attached volumes so that taking snapshots multi-application/replication tools worked correctly.  If the Exchange mailboxes are held on a VMFS volume, then Tools EqualLogic will not be able to get to them.

  Microsoft have been OK on this configuration, and I actually had them made up our VM, one or two times when we iron out some problems of UNIFIED messaging (although I hide icon "VMWare Tools"!).

  The best thing to do would be to create volumes you think you'll need and attach them directly to the virtual machine using the Microsoft iSCSI initiator, and then run the Exchange tool (I forgot his name) to test the storage for speed and capacity.

  I know I can pass parameters between the reports through a few subjects by using Url go. However, I want to keep the functionality of the menu displayed when you use defyining multi target in the s column Navigate with drop-down feature. So the problem I encountered is the sequel
  
  (1) when I set some goals to navigate - is it possible to transfer parameters to these links point to destinations? (I tried to add them at the end of the link in the field "Target", but without success)
  
  (2) or alternatively - when you use GoUrl, can I define a < would display a href link that might point to places menu and mulitple drop down?

  I intend to use snapshot read in bdb for my application. My db config params and envconfig params is lower. I'm opening with TransactionConfig.setSnapshot (true) for snapshot read transactions;
  
  I am curious about the following points:
  
  (1) what should be my CursorConfig and
  (2) LockMode values using the sliders or dbHandles to read the snapshot data.
  
  This article (http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/berkeley-db/db/gsg_txn/JAVA/isolation.html#snapshot_isolation) tells that the andnot configurations on the way in which the data are replaced.
  
  Can I read the data with flags READ_COMMITTED and READ_UNCOMMITTED or default and expect results accordingly?

  There is a problem in the Java API; the DB_TXN_SNAPSHOT indicator has been neglected and is missing in CursorConfig, in other words, there is no setSnapshot() method.

  As mentioned at the beginning, for now, you need to use the first approach, to what DB_TXN_SNAPSHOT (and implicitly a setSnaphost() method) will be added to CursorConfig.
