Multi-word entries in the glossary
I create a glossary with words like market, market name, device, and the device attributes. When I run the wizard of Hotspot glossary, the whole word (market name) is not related to the definition, instead, it connects a market name. So single market is underlined (linked) in the word "market name. Sometimes, it will link the entire name, but in other cases, it doesn't. Is there something I should do to make sure that the whole word is related to the definition in the glossary?Hi Amy
Here's a suggestion. Run the wizard several times. The first point several times, in the special conditions. Maybe 'name of the market' to catch everything with the name of market. Run again and pointing only on "attributes of the device. Once you are sure you have treated the successive mandates of Word, generically and then run the wizard. I think that the wizard ignores these hotspots that have already been created and give you the result you are looking for.

My suggestion:
Using the Hotspot Assistant in the pod of glossary, connect the words subjects and these words (listed in the glossary) are displayed as hyperlinks in the output. You can click on the words to see their definition developed text. -
I like the idea in the info below, posted November 8, 2006 by the Menting, but does not work. I have 4 entries in my glossary - need to add other approximately 100. However, when I open the file .glo in the project, it is empty. I saved my HR 7 closed project, and the file is always empty. Any ideas?
II has recently converted a WinHelp project to HTML. The only problem I encountered is that the terms are all in "BOLD" and a larger font than normal glossary HTML output. This is very ugly and gives me a headache after watching only two or three entries. Because I subscribe to the philosophy "be nice to the customer", I would like to correct this. Does anyone have the solution? Any help will be much appreciated by me, at least.

* Open your .glo file in Notepad.
* copy and paste your glossary on another notebook - delete text on your current file to .glo.
* Paste the other notepad entry in the .glo file which is currenty in Notepad.
of course, remember to save your original file from .glo before doing so.
Example of .glo entry
NAME = data
Definition of data.
NAME = element
Definition of the element.
NAME must be in uppercase followed by an = sign, then your entry in the glossary. Check that the definition appears on the following paragraph.

The only thing that comes to mind is that maybe you are not looking in the right place. Assuming you have four entries in your glossary, it should be given in the file. This suggests that you are not looking to the right file.
It may be useful to use one of my favorite time all RoboHelp tips here. To quickly open Windows Explorer to the location of the project. Just right click on any topic in your project and choose Properties (it can also say properties). Then click on the file tab. See this button at the bottom right of the dialog box? One marked the folder? Click on this puppy and Windows Explorer should open in your project location. Sweet, huh?
Now try to look at the. GLO file you will find and see if you are able to see your entries.

Add the already existing Word variation entry in the index

I got a clue and want to add a variation of a word already in the index and that InDesign can use these two words in the index listing, not as a list of void.
For simplicity, say that I was the forms of the singular and the plural of the word stand together under the same heading.
How can I do this?

The index entry that you insert in the dialog box is one that gets listed in the final. If you have 'index' and 'clues' and you add the entry to the 'clues', ID displays the dialog box, add an entry to this word. Change to 'index', and ID which will be used instead.
(In fact, the word selected or the expression in the dialog box is simply a practical method. You can also change the text of 'wow' - ee, to have that appear in the index. ('Enter' has nothing to do with the 'real' text in your document - which is kind of pain if make you corrections and wait for the index to follow automatically.)

Remove the entry from the ARP table
I need to create a program to remove an entry in the ARP table in Windows 7 with LabVIEW and TestStand. The test that I develop contacts ESA via Ethernet. Each HAD has the same IP address at the beginning but different MAC addresses. I note that there may be long delays in test is running when you try to connect and remove the previous entry in the ARP table seems to help. But now I have to do it manually through the command line. The command 'arp d' requires elevated privileges. I had a hard time getting LabVIEW to raise the system exec. Does anyone have an ideas? Is there a .NET access to the ARP table?

I'll try to look into ARP sync settings setting in Windows.
We have suffered from various problems of connection-performance TCP a few years ago and our solution was to change the default number of TCP sockets and delays (we knew port exhaustion). The tweeks eliminated most of our problems, no changes to code LV/TS not required.
I tried to find info on ARP parameters for Windows 7, but it seems that there is much less info available that ther is for XP.
Key words of the most common registry for older versions of Windows have been 'ArpCacheLife' and 'ArpCacheMinReferencedLife.
EDIT:
These parameters were apparently kidnapped in Vista. I found this on the site of $ M; they can apply to later versions, as well as M$ is a request for change to the management of the ARP...

I can not get internet explore and Microsoft word to stop the launch at startup.
I looked at through these programs and autorun boot are not listed. I checked the configuration and that they are not and I checked AVG and they do not appear as startup items. They are not in my Start menu. How can I get these programs STOP opening on startup? I don't even use internet Explorer - I simply downloaded it once and now it keeps opening. I used Word once of many weeks ago, and now it opens each time. How can I stop this from happening?

In addition to the information that Amara has provided, please look at the suggestions below.
You can check the boot in a few places by using MSCONFIG.
· Click Start on your desktop
· Type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.
· Go to the Startup tab. There are options to enable all or disable all or you can uncheck a particular program.
Check if WinWord is set to run at startup, if so, then uncheck the box.
Now, restart the computer and see if the word appears at the start of your computer.You can also check the registry to see if it is set to run at startup.
Go to the Start button.
In the start search, type Regedit.Change the settings of the REGISTRY can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the REGISTRY settings configuration can be solved. Changes to these settings are at your own risk. Please make a backup of ther registry before making any changes. Or you can create a system restore point.
Now, you place the following keys.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnceHkey_current_user\\software\\microsoft\\windows\\currentversion\\run
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunonceIf the word is in the list, then delete this registry entry only.

P1006-duplicate entries of the print queue
LaserJet P006 normally works with Windows 7 (64 bit) for several months. Suddenly, ordering print (Word, Excel, Firefox) generates 2 entries in the print queue. There are a number of size and document page; There is no size counts and page "N/A" does not work. Queue indicates that with no print size, but nothing prints.
I went through all suggested HP troubleshooting step, download the diagnosis through the stopping and starting of the spooler, uninstall and reinstall the drivers and the evacuation of the power. Other printers HP connected via the same USB hub works very well.
Any suggestions?

Hi, I tried to locate the .xml file that fills the glossary widget so that I could copy and create my own modifiable .xml file to import.

Hmmm, this example XML file is in the properties of himself? I thought you wanted all of the XML file for all of the words that are in the example? Those that are embedded in the interaction.

How to have an entry in the list 'No. Target' parent not 'clickable '?
I use DHTML tree as my list template and the list is added to the zero page in the Navigation area model. All entries in the child list are working properly and the parent entry list is set to "No Target". However, when I mouse over the parent entry list, the list of entries parent stills show that there is a clickable link, even if it does nothing if I click on it. It is misleading. If it is a 'feature', is anyway do disable it or bypass it?A better way to disable the link of the parent list item is to choose the "target Type" = "URL" and "The target URL =" #" When the user clicks on the parent list element, the browser would simply navigate to the top of the web page itself. Remove the entries in the playlist.
I can't get rid of unwanted entries in the playlist. There is no x in the top right and the items won't slide. I'm on Yosemite 10.10.5

The application Sever on one of my computers has several duplicate entries in the initial screen "choose a Mac" that appears just after the launch of the application server where you choose the particular Mac which you want to connect.
My server is in the local IP 10.0.0.5, but there are two entries for it in the list for a reason any, as you can see here:
I can choose is entered to connect without a problem. They seem to be legitimate duplicates. So I would like to remove one of them.
Does anyone know where these entries are stored in the file system, or how to remove one of them in the list?
You can manually edit the plist, or simply remove to rebuild the entire list:
~/Library/preferences/com. Apple.Server.v4.plist

Change the source of entry with the Caps Lock key does not
It should be possible to change the input source with the Caps Lock key on macOS Sierra.
and I checked "Toggle ABC of input source with caps lock shift" in system preferences > keyboard > input Source.
However, it does not lock shift still only works as long as CapsLock

It is possible to do. Please take a look at the User Guide helps Mac, specifically, this section:
Switch between input sources
To switch between input sources, do one of the following:
Use the menu entry: Click on the menu entry in the menu bar, and then choose the input source. If an input source is dimmed, the current application does not support it.
Use the Caps Lock key: Press the caps lock shift key to switch between a non-Latin input (such as the Chinese or Korean) source and an input source Latin (for example, French or English).
To use this method, you must select the option "use Caps Lock to toggle to and from" in the stream of input methods. Choose the Apple menu > System Preferences, click keyboard, and then click input methods.
Use keyboard shortcuts: Press control-Option-space bar to select the source of the following entry in the menu entry, or control-space to select the previous input source.

So I have a weird problem. I need to retrieve the original date of my entry in navigation history because he moved to "today" and does not appear more where it was originally(3/3) after I clicked on it to verify that it was a correct URL I was looking for. Suggestions of preceding words are in the context menu and fill it instead to introduce myself with only one suggestion at a time. It comes from FF11
If you start Firefox in Safe Mode, precise check work better here? It's probably an add-on of any kind interfere with normal operation.
