  If you create your terms and definitions using the glossary designer then use the glossary Hotspot Assistant to qualify through the topics. And if you work in this way, when you update the definitions they are updated in the sections where they exist.

  Nothing has changed in the interaction glossary in CP8.

  I've seen in other posts (Cp6) that there is a known bug with the maintenance of interaction available in a project glossary.

  Maybe my problem can help further this question - or maybe someone can post tips on how to solve this problem.

  I use a trial version of the Cp7 and followed the advice in this tutorial: http://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=wTEF-56V1Z4

  I found that if I left 'Visible output' box unchecked for the button closure (as in the tutorial), I don't see the glossary at all.

  Similarly for the button I created for the glossary - I couldn't have hidden or I don't see it.

  Another problem: the close button in the glossary (which is grouped in the interaction) in a first time appeared with the glossary, but then decided to appear on following slides without it (but in the same location).

  Everyone has been able to follow the advice on the above tutorial link successfully and is there another tutorial I can watch or read about it? I really want to provide access to the glossary on multiple slides and during quizzes. (And Yes, I'll buy a license - although the number of bugs I encounter creeps upward!)

  Hello

  Unchecking 'visible output' means the Group glossary will be invisible in the output until it is made visible by an action. In this case, the action that make visible is assigned to the Glossary button.

  Make sure that:

  • Glossary button, button Exit and the Widget are defined "Rest of project" accordion Timing.
  • EXIT button is set to Place object on top in the accordion of Timing.

• Multi-word entries in the glossary

  I create a glossary with words like market, market name, device, and the device attributes. When I run the wizard of Hotspot glossary, the whole word (market name) is not related to the definition, instead, it connects a market name. So single market is underlined (linked) in the word "market name. Sometimes, it will link the entire name, but in other cases, it doesn't. Is there something I should do to make sure that the whole word is related to the definition in the glossary?

  Here's a suggestion. Run the wizard several times. The first point several times, in the special conditions. Maybe 'name of the market' to catch everything with the name of market. Run again and pointing only on "attributes of the device. Once you are sure you have treated the successive mandates of Word, generically and then run the wizard. I think that the wizard ignores these hotspots that have already been created and give you the result you are looking for.

• Play with the glossary

  So I have this application. There a few links to my RoboHelp project, which is a "Glossary" link and it is decided that this link should load the glossary with a bit of instructions describing the user page: you are on the glossary page. Choose a term, see definition.
  
  So that 'very well, I created the following link (and I would like to tell you, it took me a while to understand)
  http://www.Server.com/robohelpproject/#glossary.htm > > cmd = 4
  
  While the link will load the RoboHelp project with http://www.AFB.org.uk/docs/glossary.htm, with glossary component projection.
  
  My problem is when I try to load the component/page glossary of RoboHelp. It is logical to me that when the user clicks on the glossary, they should see the page http://www.AFB.org.uk/docs/glossary.htm so because it contains information applicable.
  I see two options, create a custom button that performs all the tricks, or modify the 'Glossary' button to load a page... None of these options has me very well.

  I did open whtbar.js, going on to down to AddButton()) and change the glossary link so that it reads:

  OK so I found a solution to my problem... basically, I combined the two options above.

  So now I have two buttons glossary. One is the RoboHelp Glossary button, the other is a custom button. I go to the whtbar.js and this time, I put style = display: none on the addButton glossary section... it seems to work like a charm, only two drawbacks:
  (1) see is more "selected" image when you press glossary
  (2) the need to modify the js file every time I have to regenerate

  If someone up there in Macromedia headquarters taking notes for a possible patch to RoboHelp, I'd allow users to modify the JS files that are included with each regeneration project. It would be * incredible * useful... I have a list of changes that must be made each regeneration of the main project (including the difficulty of synchronizing proejcts merged TOC), and if ever I leave my job if someone don't find that list and they do a regenreation, there will be hell to pay.

  For example, when trying to download LastPass extension via the link on the LastPass website, the link on the Safari extension store simply links to the page that I was right (site LastPass) who took me in the extension Safari store.   I understand you are trying to add links to your Pages document, but they are default Apple.com. I know it's nice to enrich your documents in this way, so I'm happy to help you.

  Because your links go to Apple.com, by default, looks like you can not be remove the sample text in the box when you prompt for what URL you want the link to train. This page provides more details on the use of this feature:

  Turn text into a link

  You can use a word or an expression as a link without displaying the URL or e-mail address in your document.

  1. Select the text, click on inserer insert in the toolbar, and then choose Add a link.

     The window opens with the selected text in the display area.

  2. Enter the full URL in the link field.

  3. Click open to check the link.

  I'm transforming words in my text on the links, but with Cyrillic characters in their URL (such as https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/ хорошо). The problem is that, depending on how create the link, the page refuses to accept the URL.

  1. Delete my word;

  Pages seems to be denying the creation of links with the URL that contains Cyrillic characters (only?), but exclusively through his little creation of link popup. I think it's a simple problem, but I'm sure it's very annoying.

  Cyrillic characters in the range of table encoding UTF-8 code points u + 0400 - u + 04 FF are represented by two bytes. These people must be encoded as a percentage (read the two paragraphs of the current standard of article), as the Pages v5.6.2 will convert automatically URI to this encoding for you in the link Inspector. It will simply ignore what it considers incorrect URI links, they are Cyrillic, or even English.

  Use what is easier for you, and that Pages v5.6.2 accepts.
