Multiple monitor problem

After using "Windows Refresh" due to malware, I can drag is more web pages from one monitor to the other (I used 2 monitors before the update). Anyone know how I can restore this feature? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a p7 1451, a computer Pavillion AMD A10-5700 with an integrated AMD Radeon HD graphics 760D. I use Windows 8.1.

Hello

It's something to do with the configuration of the display. Please try

(a) make a right click on desktop, a space

(b) select Customize,

(c), select view,

(d) change display settings, you should see 2 screens (1 & 2)

(e) now you can extend the display on the screen of the second.

(f) click Change setting/apply

Kind regards.

  • Display problems when you run applications JavaFX 2.0 with multiple monitors

I noticed a number of issues when running JavaFX 2.X applications on a system with multiple monitors. My setup consists of 2 monitors (primary and secondary on a dual graphics card) and my third on a separate graphics card.

The questions I have observed are,

    (1) the application is not too sensitive when running on the second or third monitor.

    (2) when the application runs on 2 monitors and re-tire it will only redraw correctly on one of the monitors. The application will be displayed as a black box on the another moniter

    (3) where the application does not run on the primary monitor and a ChoiceBox is selected choice appears as expected but it blackens the application in the background.

Someone else encountered similar problems? I'm going to raise a JIRA with screenshots and details of my system if other people are able to confirm that they are also suffering from similar problems.

Hi, I had similar problems. My application uses 2 monitors and now everything works just perfect. It turned out that the interface is causing these disorders. I changed mine, then he worked (actually more the new installed I also had to update the driver for the new interface)

  • Problem with the mouse when having double (multiple) monitors follow-up.

I'll start with the configuration of the computer:

The OS is Windows 7 Ultimate, 64-bit 6.1.7601, Service Pack 1

Guest operating system is Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise Service Pack 1

    VMware Workstation Version 8.0.0 build-471780

When I have multiple monitors allowed (the resolution is 1920 x 1080), I can't use the second monitor correctly.  In my setup main monitor is on the right, but the question I have also occurs when the primary monitor is on the left.

In the screen below, I move my mouse to the center of the title bar and click and hold to drag the window.

    1.png

In this screen, you can see the outline of the window I am dragging to the left.  My mouse is now located to the left of the screen to the right about to cross the box to the left of the monitor.

    2.png

You can't see the mouse in the image 3 below, but I'm still it moves horizontally to the left.  The outline of the window, howvever, moves to the right and downwards.

    3.png

In this image of 4th, it is difficult to see the window is now pretty close at the bottom of the screen to the right, but my mouse is completely to the left.

    4.png

The last image shows that when I bring my mouse to the right (primary) screen, the window comes up to proper placement.

    5.png

Another finding is that, so Oh the right browser window and I just move my mouse to the left screen, the mouse will change the pointer and the browser would show the link in the bar which position of the mouse would be poorly determined to be on the right screen on a link in the browser State.

Everything works fine if I keep just to single screen.

Thanks in advance for any help on this matter.

    Ed

OK, I've seen the same behavior with:

    Host OS 64-bit Ubuntu 11.04

The OS Windows XP SP3 32-bit

    VMware Player 4.0.1 528992 build

workaround that fixed it was uninstall VMware Tools on the guest (8.8.1 build-528969), reboot,.

then install again with the host operating system were two connected monitors

the upgrade of Joueur3 Joueur4, HW comments to 8.0 and upgrade update: tools, everything has been done with a single monitor for the host operating system... maybe something went wrong then.

  • After upgrade, Firefox 43.0.0.5820 does not appear under actual multiple monitors V5.11! How can I fix it?

After the V43.0.0.5820, Firefox works but is invisible on the screen. I do not remember what version I have updated since then, but this is done normally under actual multiple monitors as with all other software installed.

Currently it is forcing me to use Internet Explorer, which works flawlessly.

If I stop actual multiple monitors, Firefox won't stay visible well that listed in Windows Task Manager.

When I'm out of multiple monitors, Firefox works normally.

    How can I fix it?

I uninstalled V43 and re-installed V42. This seems to have solved the problem. I didn't answer on the forum of the AMM yet but it's still the early days. I'll post a response that I get to help a resolution.

  • Want to Phoenix h9: HP Envy H9 Phoenix - multiple monitors

No Windows 10 option above, but it's a question that began with Windows 8 and continues with Windows 10.

I have a h9 Phoenix envy that I am very satisfied, but have had trouble with multiple monitors.  I can't find any documentation on the adding more than two monitors.  I have one running on the HDMI connector and another through the DVI.  But the addition of a third monitor became a mystery.  There are two additional DVI connections, but both were covered and when the updated seem to be connected to anything internal.  They are somewhat obscured by the food, and I'd rather not shoot to see the back side, I don't have to.

Then, there are two additional Minies connections on the same card that DVI and HDMI connectors that I use on the first two monitors.  However, I can't find any documentation on the mini type connectors (like maybe mini DVI) I can find no cable to adapt.

Is there something in the BIOS that must be returned to activate more ports?  Three monitors is not an option in the configuration current/components?  Can I add another video card supporting three monitors?  I have the AMD Radeon HD series 7900 graphics card.

It seems a waste to throw away when it works so well otherwise!  He performmed flawlesly with the migration of Windows 10 and could last a little longer.

    @HawkeEye

I suggest that you try an what AMD approved DP to HDMI adapter activewhich also works with AMD EyeFinity.

There may be a ' I gottcha "If the AMD 7900 is an OEM HP card. HP in the past has used decorum for AMD graphics cards drivers so using a retail AMD driver could be a problem, or it might work.

  • Multiple monitors using RDP 7 in Windows Vista x 64

I have two computers using Windows Vista x 64 and RDP 7, both computers have two video cards, however, there is no way to activate the two monitors with remote desktop.

Here are some tips on the configuration of the machine running Office remotely:
-Monitors have a different layout (Vertical and Horizontal)
    -Both computers have installed SP2
-Both computers use the NVIDIA drivers
-L' guest computer have no connected monitor

Up to present all the post in Internet refers is a mandatory condition the same monitor settings; However, that statement is NOT true, because I have a third computer using Windows 7, with no connected monitors, drivers NVIDIA, using the same version of RDP 7 and I am able to connect to this computer using the monitors.

  • Vista and multiple monitors

I'm using Vista Ultimate 32 bit system. When I created multiple monitors on my laptop my screen saver does not work.  I put it in the slideshow personalized with photos of my images. When the time for the screen saver activate the screen turns black with a procession of white dashes strung on black screen and has a long delay in retune to active screen when embarrassing. I've been to monitor manufacturing webite and I have the latest drivers. They say MS problem with Vista which they have many complaints on this subject.

Try using a simple screensaver as the starfield and see if it works better - maybe it has problems with the customized version.

I hope this helps.  If so or if not post back and we'll see if we can find another solution.

  • How to lock the desktop icons in a multiple monitor configuration

Original title: lock the desktop icons - and display

Working with Windows 7 Home Premium has a problem processing 2 pieces: no matter how many times I said I want the display screen appears on the monitor, the screen of the computer, every day he arbitrarily returns to the computer screen only. That creates the 2nd problem: the desktop icons that I have arranged for the largest monitor rearrange themselves to adapt to the computer screen. Is there a way I can lock the icons in this position that I used to be able to do? Or is it possible that I can keep the display to go back to the computer screen? (I'm careful to apply the instructions to display before the specified seconds elapse).

    Hello

I suggest you to go through the steps mentioned in the link and the Coachman.

On a system running Microsoft Windows 7, the desktop icons can be moved to positions at random during another monitor main screen.

Setting up dual monitor: two screens are better than one

  • multiple screen problem

HI there I have a problem with the multiple screen option. I have two screens of my standard graphics card work, but my computer is only noticed 1 screen. This means that I can't continue with the set to the top of the screen of the second.

Please help as its really get my goat :)

    Thank you

    Hello

    Thanks for the reply.

    Perform these steps and check:

    Set up multiple monitors

When you connect an additional monitor to your laptop, Windows automatically detects the monitor and displays your computer's desktop. You can then choose how you want your desktop to appear and customize the display settings, such as the color depth and screen resolution.

    1. Manually connect the laptop monitor to your PC.

If Windows can't identify the monitor, open the new display detected using one of the following methods:

      • Press the keyboard shortcut that turns on an additional display.

The FN + F5 keyboard shortcut is used for this purpose on many laptops. To determine what keyboard shortcut turns on another view, see the documentation that came with your mobile PC or go to the manufacturer's Web site.

      • Open by clicking Windows Mobility Center start , clicking Control Panel, clicking Mobile PC and then click Windows Mobility Center.

Then, on the external display tile, click Connect display.

      Note

      • Windows Mobility Center is available only on laptops.

    2. Detected display, select one of the following display options in the new dialog box and then click OK.

      • In the opposite direction.  Mirrors, or duplicate your desktop on each display that you connect. In the opposite direction is the default display option. This option is useful if you plan to use your mobile PC to give a presentation on a projector or fixed a screen in a conference room, like a wall plasma display or TV-type monitor.

      • Extended. Extend your desktop on all the screens to which you are connecting. This option is useful if you want to increase your screen area.

      • External display only.  Display your desktop on each display that you you connect, but not on your mobile PC display. This option is useful if you are using a portable computer and you want to conserve battery power. You can also use this option when you play a DVD on a laptop that supports video playback in full screen on a single screen.

If Windows can't identify the monitor that you connect, it automatically applies the last display settings that you used for that type of monitor and asks if you want to keep the settings. Click OK to keep these settings.

If you click on cancel or do nothing, the display settings dialog box appears so that you can manually choose the display settings.

      Note

      • To select different display settings at any time, open display settings in Control Panel.

Open display settings by clicking on the button start , by clicking on Control Panel, appearance and personalization, on personalization, and then clicking display settings

    I hope this helps.

  • Dual monitor problems

I have been using two monitors (1 monitor my primary monitor, 2 monitor showing an extension of monitor 1) for several years now. All of a sudden, monitor 2 links is no longer. I swapped the connections from the cables to the back of my Tower. When I started my computer, startup began the 2 monitor, but as soon as Windows is fully booted, 1 monitor again became the primary monitor and 2 the screen went black. I guess this isn't a hardware problem.

After some tinkering on the video card Control Panel, I could get 2 monitor to display, but it is no longer made reference the name of the 2 monitor (Asus) as a monitor. It refers to the second screen as "Digital Display" and considers it a generic Non - PnP monitor. I don't understand how it happened, why it happened or how to get my second screen displays correctly again. Currently, monitor 2 a haywire resolution, and I can't improve it (my own, its because he does not recognize the Asus monitor properly and does not know the capabilities of resolution of it).

I hope someone can understand my problem and is able to help, because I simply can't understand it.

Sorry for the delay in response.
