Multitenant - deploy/modify applications on PDB

Hello experts,

I am new to 12 c. I mean my management to opt for Oracle 12 c for our cloud offering.

In general, we welcome close to 500 customers on the cloud (sqlserver). We have two options at this point, the individual PDDB host for each client or use a DB with customer Id on each table (for which we need 12 c). We anticipate running our 'custom business software' on every instance, that process and stores the data of customers. The only problem with the individual instance (I think) is upgrade our application running on each instance. For example, if I want to add a column to a table or alter a procedure, I run the ALTER command or compiling procedures 500 times for each PDB. My understanding is correct? Is there a way we could update the purpose of database to only once? What is the advantage, I got in 12 c except DB easy maintenance?

Why? If you are a 'new for 12 c' so what's your reasoning to recommend?

This can take a few months or years of 'everything' know.

DINT understand the question. New does not necessarily mean "nothing".

Don't forget that we have only the info on that someone plans to go. Just because ask us a question does NOT imply that what did something wrong. Volunteers are generally not afraid to tell someone when they use the wrong approach.

Infrastructure change is not taken lightly - there is usually a good reason to do this. You do not mention everything so I ask.

Goes with 12 c itself isn't so much the problem. The REAL problem is to use traditional architecture or the new architecture multi-tenant.

Anyone opting for multi-tenancy SHOULD just, IMHO, RTFM. Even with 35 years of collective experience, you won't be successful using current methods similarly to do the simplest things: creating users, granting privileges, management structures of memory and others.

In this response, I explain that even such basic factors as creating users can give you exceptions that will make no sense if chapters 17 and 18 of the doc of concepts 12 c have not been read. Common user? What is c? CBD? PDB? Local user? container root?

As I alluded to in my last answer the easiest initial test cases would be partitioning by company_id for physical separation of data and using DTV to enforce access him.

Who gives a set of tables and code to manage but allows you to treat the scores of each companies almost as if they were separate tables.

Your use case use COMPANY_ID SALES_REP_ID instead, but the concept is the same.

It is premature to "recommend" approach. I'm just saying it's the test case EASIER to experiment with the first to get an idea of how it might work for you.

That approach is also likely to reflect more closely what done you now rather than introducing a separate DB or a set of tables for each company.

You can also certainly use multi-tenancy, if you want even if initially you only have AN APB for your application. Only an APB will work pretty much like the traditional architecture. But given the architecture shared in place will let your developers to start to get in tune with the differences and how to deal with them.

I am very new to visual studio online. It is part of my learning. I try to deploy the web application in the blue. I could deploy the web application successfully in Azure Blue Web site. Later, I created and Azure VM and try to deploy the application on the virtual computer. But I could not. I read some blogs, but not able to understand how to deploy it on the virtual machine using Visual Studio online. I was able to publish the application to the Azure VM using Visual Studio 2015. But failed to deploy via VSO.

I use Build definitions. Please help me configure the deployment in Azure VM using VSO.

How to deploy an application with free files on BES or others?

I'm curious to know if there is a way to deploy an application with a loose settings file.

My goal is for customers to deploy the app after that that they have made changes to a settings XML file.

After the changes to the XML file, the customer could deploy via BES or another method.

Is this possible?

I wrote several .net applications that use XML settings files in bulk / external and I want to acoomplish the same thing.

I downloaded WebWorks 10 since the developers page and I managed to Pakage my app, but I'm unable to deploy the application that I am unable to find the "BlackBerry deployment.

Can someone advise this is a separate download or is it stored somewhere different.

I have a fair amount of coding "on the go" (in the train, airport, airplane, etc.) where do not always have access to a wifi hotspot. When you connect your PB to your PC via the USB port, the Playbook installs a network driver on the PC with an address like this:

169.254.xxx.xxx

the driver on the PC points to the network address:

169.254.xxx. (xxx + 1)

and chooses the IP USB PB as the gateway address, so they can talk.

You should be able to deploy to your PB via USB. I use FB 4.5 to deploy, and it works with USB and WIFI. A problem is your IP address changes when you unplug the USB key, then you will need to reconfigure.

Deploying ADF applications with integration of EBS

I read a few articles about deploying ADF applications and they found it useful. Most of them are not suitable for ADF 11g developed lettering. I developed a demo application using Jdev Studio ver 12.1.3.0.0 by installing the WebLogic Server. This application must now be deployed on another node on a remote and built-in Server with EBS. References user interface developed stored procedures using IDE connect to Oracle DB. The remote server has the SDK for Java installed and a DATA SOURCE has been defined by the administrator.
I tried to follow the steps explained in the URL that follows, but in vain. I could not find server Navigation Application. How-to: ADF Deployment Guide
Could someone please help me understand the modalities of deployment of this application developed on my laptop on a remote server? Your valuable contribution is appreciated.
