  I need to be able to restrict the movement of a "wheel" along the edge of an irregular bitmap or vector shape. In addition, as the "wheel" moves along the way, it should return the length of the path travelled in pixels.

  What it is for is to demonstrate the extent of what is called the "range of vision." The process involves moving two rods share sighting until the lower part of one is no longer visible on the other, then running a wheel odometer along the road alignment irregular to measure the distance of moving real between the two rods.

  How irregular is your form is going to be? If it's just a series of triangles, then it should be simple. If you know in advance what triangles are going to be, then it is even simpler.

  Bubble icons are the widgets corner. You can drag inward to round the corner. They are not part of your problem. If you want to hide them, select view > hide corner Widget. I have a hotkey defined for this menu item.

  If you see multiple bullseyes, you may have your set with the shape selected, that would prevent you from being able to move individual anchor points. Deselect the shape first, and then move the anchor with the direct Selection tool.

  You can create a custom button skin that uses graphics that are not necessarily square using a path and mouseEnabledWhereTransparent = false.  For example, here is a custom button skin that looks like a diamond:

• Problems with Rollover buttons

  I want to make my logo on my interactive Web site by making each piece in the shape of a button for another part of my site. I imported four different photoshop buttons, each with a separate layer for the rollover State (different colors). However, when arranged properly, the largest button goes on two other buttons, making them unusable. Is there a way for the buttons of photoshop layer so that each button changes again when hit? I've attached a video of what I'm trying to explain. This is my first time using Muse, so any help is appreciated. Thank you.

  Well although it seems that you have made the buttons first tried then mount them in Muse who does back the front.

  • I would recommend starting with the complete image of the Muse on figgure what size you want it eventually and then go back to photoshop and set the size as your height and width.
  • The other thing I notice, it is to be MUCH more aggressive with your triming, because the bearings must be small as possible on the side of the images

  The trick is to rotate the image ([ctrl] + [t] first select) first to align better with the border of the canvas

  • Return to muse, make a new layer for each part of the image so that you can hide some of the triggers under the other excesses.

  PS I had a quick game and came with the House but I'm sure you can do better...

  You can try to use the widget of the Composition of the ToolTip. In this way, the trigger area is isolated and a "State of reversal" can be placed anywhere on the screen (compared to the trigger).

  To work around this problem, the simplest method is to add a shine to other States, but use the background color for the glow. This creates the same offset as the rollover State but does not display differently.

  I'm having a hard time understand the above statement.  Are all the paintings that you want to display the part of the same binary form (.fmb)?  If the first three paintings are in a binary form and the two you mention above, are in a separate binary form then you can not display the second shape is if it is part of the first shape because the canvas object window is displayed in does not exist in the first form.  You could try to make your new form as it belongs to the first, but it will be tricky.  You must call the second form by using the built-in Call_Form() so that the first shape is still visible.  Then you can play with the properties of the window in form 2 to make it look less to a new window.  Are the properties of the window you can play with: bevel = none, the Style of window = Document, move allowed = No, resize allowed = No, maximize allowed = No, reduce to the minimum allowed = No, etc..

  I don't know if this will give you what you want, but it could come close...

  DATE is not a function of Oracle; in fact, it's a terrible name for a column or function, because it blends with the DATE data type.

  In Oracle, the function SYSDATE returns the date and time, according to the clock on the database server.  So, SYSDATE can return a value as November 19, 2013 06:33:15.   If you want to midnight the same day (i.e., November 19, 2013 00:00:00) and then use TRUNC (SYSDATE).

  String literals (for example the string which consists 5 characters d, a, t, e, and 1) go inside the single quotes. Numbers and the names of columns only.

  If you want to include all the columns, more some calculated values, in a SELECT clause, then you must use a name table or alias before the *.  (See select_2 below.  To do this, assign the alias j to display online.)

  Maybe you wanted to say something like:

  As mentioned in a previous answer, you should be careful about the use of "SELECT *" in production code.

  In select_3, it would be better if you explicitly listed the columns you need.  It can improve efficiency and maintenance.  In this request, queue and the name will be always the same, so you probably don't want to include both of them in the result set, in any case.

  In select_1 and select_2, it is acceptable to use "SELECT *", assuming that select_3 is fixed.

  Moreover, there is no point in using subqueries here.  You can get the same results simply in a single query, without any subqueries.

  This works as expected. Active state removes change it to any other State on the interaction of the mouse and other States work only on the links that are currently in Normal condition.

  I wonder if it is included in the Document Info somewhere, or if the old debug window is still usable with Cmd-Shift-Option-F12/Ctrl-Alt-Shift-F12. On Mac keyboards later when the volume button is also on the F12 key, you may need to hold down the fn key at the same time.

  I have a problem which is really bugging me - I hope someone here has some advice to offer

  Asked me to produce an interactive demonstration of a Web site with a menu similar to the following structure:

  The user can move the mouse on some of these menu options to bring a submenu - sometimes, this submenu has even a submenu of his own when wriggle on. For reference, take a look at the web page of arsenal, move the mouse on the menu 'first team' option, then the option submenu "actors".

  Here is how the project is planned to do: user starts at the home page and is free to move around the site to learn more about its features, using the top menu. When you click on a menu option, does move to the corresponding slide/project.

  My problem is that I can't get this menu to work properly in the project, which is down by positioning the mouse on and allowing the user to click on the options on the submenu and allowing a second submenu to appear by positioning the mouse on a submenu option.

  I tried to use slidelets overview and images, but the "rollover area" placed on the menu option prevents the user to move down to the submenu without having it disappear.

  Any thoughts on how to solve this problem of menu? I am using Captivate 5.5 on Windows 7.

  If the structure of the menu is as complicated as what I see in the example, really you need another application. IMO, it was created in Dreamweaver, where you have the drop-down menus available immediately. It can also be done in Flash, but this isn't something that Captivate was designed to achieve, really.

  I tried to simulate such behavior by using text captions with boxes to click for hyperlinks and by using slip in the entry/exit effects. But you can set the effects-XML to achieve this. Just try to offer good advice, although I always try to push as far as possible the Captivate: for menus, you need a real webdesign application, not a quick tool as CP.
