• Why Lightroom will not save the file when you use the image Capture?

  When you work with video in Lightroom 5, whenever I press "Image Capture", I get an error message that says: "cannot save the file." I tried this on several video files, and I get the same message. Video files are. MOV files. I can't understand why this is happening!

  I had this same error message. I solved it when I moved the video file on the hard disk internal to the computer, and then it worked perfectly. He always gave the error message when I used an external video file from my hard drive. There for a long time until I tried this. No one answered this problem in forums that I could find.

• Illustrator will not save the files to CMYK, RGB only

  For some reason any I can save is no longer the .pdf for Illustrator and Indesign in color modes CMYK files. In other words, the file will save, but it always ends up as a RGB file. I have reset my Illustrator preferences on startup and I deleted the file have prefs as well. I also did the same for the bridge, InDesign and Photoshop.

  Does anyone know why this is happening and what I can do so I can create CMYK PDF files again? It drives me crazy and I need to send art (created in InDesign) to the printer in the CMYK color space.

  I'm working on a Mac. My operating system is OS x 10.6.8 version. Thank you!

  Is not how to check the color space of your pdf. In the main menu, choose Advanced Options > print > overview of the release. If you included all color profiles you can also view by choosing in the main menu advanced options > print > convert colors and then click on the plus sign under the colors of the Document on the right side.

  When you choose print in Acrobat it will convert to the appropriate to the selected printer color space. You case as shown in your screen shot the printer is Photosmart C6100. If this printer is a composite RGB, then Acrobat doing the right thing by choosing a suitable color space.

  Well, after a few hours, I realized what was causing the problem.  It was a product called Rollback RX.  Once I downloaded and installed the latest version, that the problem has been resolved.

  The Web site may use autocomplete = off to prevent Firefox to record the name and the password.

  You can remove autocomplete = off with a bookmarklet to register the name and the password of Firefox.

  I must add that when I try and open a file, it freezes and I have to force photoshop completely.

  Try resetting your Photoshop preferences.

  Please provide the point exact Acrobat & OS version installed on your system. This is the file is saved to the network drive or local. If his backup to disk network suggest you save to local disk.

  If its windows, please disable the preview pane feature.

  If you still get the same message

  Disable the Safe_mode Adobe

  go to Edition-> Preferences-> Security

  Uncheck the box enable improved security.

• Form fields will not save when employee saves the PDF file

  I'm on Acrobat pro (mac osx), my colleague is on Acrobat Reader 9 (XP pc). I did a few form fields in a PDF file and saved. Whenever she changes a part of the text in the fields and tries to save it will not save the things she entered. Whenever it opens, it contains my field data for moose.

  What steps should I take to make it to where she can enter their own text and save it without data loss.

  In Acrobat 9, select: Advanced > extend features in Adobe Reader

• HR HTML 9.02 and Source Control 3.1 will not save files in design mode, only the HTML view.

  We use RoboHelp 9.02 (just 9 and charged the next day so up-to-date, we 9,02) and Robo Source Control 3.1 and when we check a file and change the file, we can not save the file in Design view.  If we click on the HTML mode, we can save the file.  We have reproduced this on multiple files at the same time our computers accessing the server.  Now using RoboHelp HTML on a local project is functioning normally, only when we have access to the files on the server we select the HTML mode in order to save the topic.

  While this is an acceptable work around short term, we need this bug to get fixed unless someone knows of a checkbox somewhere that we must check in design mode to record and studied.

  I will be happy to provide you with any input and or test the additional fixes to help to fix this bug.  It is completely reproducible and constant on all tested subjects.  Source code control works insofar as this case the subject is verified by one the other cannot access the topic.  Once the topic is saved in HTML, then the subject can be archived and changes are visible by the other author.

  After the installation of Robo 9, Adobe Acrobat Professional 8 has been removed from the computer and MS Word 2000 did not work.  I've upgraded to Office/Word 2003 and I can now use Word 2003.  I have not attempted to reload Acrobat yet but that is next on my list.  Acrobat Professional was removed from these two computers during the installation.  Word 2000 exists only on the laptop.  I was in the queue to get updated later in the year, so they gave me a key and Word 03 seems to operate normally.  Did not check the Excel or PowerPoint 2000.

  Other news, you may be interested to know:

  • Both computers use Windows XP.
  • Both have office 2003.  -C' is because Word 2000 stopped working when Robo 9 has been installed.
  • Both have with max memory 32-bit operating systems.
  • Both have multiple monitors.
  • One is a laptop, the other is a desktop computer.
  • Both computers had 8.02 Robo? but RH8 was uninstalled before installing RH9.
  • 3.1 source code control has not been reinstalled on the server since version was the same that came with RH9
  • Source control has been reinstalled as a step of troubleshooting on the laptop without change.
  • RSO3 middle-tier service is running on all 3 computers and RSO3 server runs on the server pc.
  • Two users have administrator rights so all of the checkboxes are checked for access and control.

  Having identified some problems in our global variable file in another project, I had a look at this project and found a few variables were empty, have a mystery character input or information applied to the variable fonts.  Rather than change back the variable only one digit or a character with no set form and text input in variables of the virgins, I deleted the unused variables of the project that just happened to 99% of the variables because we divided this part of the project in a booth along the project.  Remove the variables solved the problem where we had to switch from Design view to HTML view in order to save a topic.  I find this rather strange since none of the topics referenced stray variables.  Now we have only the variable of the version that refers to all subjects in the foot.  Everything seems to work fine now.  If you encounter this problem, have a good look at your file of global variables, line by line, to see if there is something other than text or numbers and delete everything except for the text.

  Unrelated to the question: you have multiple Adobe Shockwave for Director Netscape plug-in is installed - some navigation problems may be experienced with several versions of the same plugin. Uninstall older versions.

  My office print 8600 ProPlus will not print pdf files sent from an iPad with ePrint.  I just get an error message when I go to the HP Eprint centre.  It prints the address email of the coverage, but nothing else.  The attachment is not sure that I can see.  I tried to send an attachment from my Mac and worked well.

  Thank you for your response and I am sorry for the delay to return to you.  I tried save the Pages document in a Word document and send it to the printer using ePrint but it is even.  That is to say the handout printed but not the attachment.  However, when we removed the accompanying document and sent the attachment in its own it has worked well for we have managed to solve the problem.
