Music library syncing my iPhone to my Mac

I recently bought a Macbook Pro (move from a Windows-based computer) and after syncing my iPhone to my Macbook, I noticed that my entire library of music on my iPhone does not sync to my Macbook. I'm not 100% sure but I think that only the music that I bought through iTunes transferred and all music, I bought the CD and ripped from iTunes on my old computer and then sync my iPhone has not been transferred. I think I have the appropriate settings transfer the entire library of music.  I suspect I need to subscribe to Apple music or iTunes game to get my ripped to a music CD to transfer on my Macbook. I know I can't use correct terminology but basically doesn't transfer any music coming from a CD purchased to my Macbook and I want to correct this.

Thanks in advance for your help.

You cannot synchronize back from your iPhone to the new Macbook because the synchronization works only for Mac to iPhone via iTunes. It is a concession to the music industry to prevent people from easily unload their collections of DRM-free music on multiple computers.

You do not want to transfer your music library from your old computer to the new Macbook and load it into iTunes. You can then establish the sync of the Macbook to iPhone iTunes library if you choose to do so.

Once you have all your music on the Macbook in iTunes, you can then decide if you want to use iTunes game or Apple's music with iCloud music library. These options will make your music library available on any device that you logged in with the same account. Under this configuration you only need to manually sync from Mac to iPhone. You will see all your music on the phone available for streaming or you can choose to allow some of them local offline listening rather than streaming.

How can I sync my iPhone with my mac mail without using iCloud?

I use several 'GMX' and 'Web' of e-mail accounts.

When I send email from my iPhone, they are only saved on it, but neither on the (GMX / Web) server or on my Mac.

For e-mail accounts to synchronize between devices, they must be configured as IMAP accounts. POP protocol doesn't have this capability.

iCloud library not updated iPhone photos of Mac.  This happens frequently and I don't see a way to force him (he always says that he updated all 'on time').  I tried restarting both devices.  Mac is running latest update of el capitan, and iPhone is 9.1 (on hold until that the photos are actually saved to update to 9.2)

Try to go to iCloud.com to see if the elements are there and whether the device or the computer. That should indicate if the device or computer is not synchronizing. If the computer, try going to System Preferences/iCloud and stop synchronization. Wait a few minutes, then recheck the timing. If the device, go to settings/iCloud and do the foregoing.

  • iTunes sync between iPhone 6s and Mac problem

Tried to sync my new iPhone 6s with MacBook on iTunes. Received message: ' the iPhone «...»» ' cannot be used because it requires a newer version of iTunes. Go to www.itunes.com to download the latest version of iTunes. " ITunes checked on MacBook is the current version. BTW, sync to iPhoto worked. Grateful for advice what to do.

You must upgrade the operating system of the computer. Unless you want to stop the upgrade to an intermediate version, back up your data, check your applications for compatibilityand download El Capitan from the Mac App Store.

If your Mac is not compatible with El Capitan, you will not be able to upgrade its operating system or to sync the iPhone with the release of Mac OS X iTunes.

  • Cannot get my Contacts to sync between iPhone 6s and Mac book pro

I tried to synchronize contacts with cloud. I tried to disable the contacts of the cloud on the 6s and the Macbook pro as instructed. Does not. Contacts are created on the phone and some on the Mac, this could be the problem? This is ongoing and I'm frustrated.

Contacts must synchronize any device, they were created on.

On your Mac, open System Preferences > iCloud. Clear the Contacts check box, then select re.

On your iPhone, tap Settings > iCloud. Disable the Contacts then turn it back on.

Give iCloud minutes to re sync your contacts.

  • sync the iPhone with iTunes but even different ical and contacts

I would like to sync an iPhone to my mac, my wife and I share. Is it possible that I can connect on the same iTunes account to share our music, but keep our calendars, photos and contacts separate?  Currently, I have my own user account on the computer and I sync with iTunes, but it is not any music. If I put his music library in a shared folder that I have access on the two user accounts, can I delete everything on my phone to sync with the new iTunes library? I wouldn't delete all my apps and everything. Is there a better way to go about this? If it's important, we do not add music to our iTunes so it could be acceptable only for copying all music files once if it was the best way to ensure the rest of our things remain separated. Thanks for your help!

  • playlist to sync to iPhone

HI - can someone provide a link to an article with instructions for synchronization

a playlist from iTunes to iOS 9.2 12? I can't find any recent data.

iTunes changed hurt so much I even find

Manually manage music videos & - said that the only option I see

    Videos. Thank you, Tom

If you see a checkbox to manually manage videos, your iPhone is probably set to synchronize with your iCloud music library, assuming you have a subscription to Match iTunes or Apple's music.  If you want to synchronize directly with your iTunes library on your Mac, you can disable iCloud music library on the iPhone.  Go to settings (on board) of the iPhone screen, their musicand "turn off" iCloud music library.

BUT if you have iCloud music library running on iPhone, and you have iCloud music library on your Mac running, songs and playlists on your Mac are also in your music to iCloud library; You can access on your iPhone directly, without synchronization.  You can either download songs from iCloud music library to the iPhone, or you can stream them (when you play any song) and not the song files have take a space on your iPhone.

If you DO not want to synchronize directly from Mac to iPhone, you should see the checkbox to manually manage music and videos after turning OFF the iCloud music library on the iPhone.  However, if you want to synchronize a particular playlist which exists in your library of iTunes for the iPhone, the best way to do that is to set up automatic synchronization for the music and set it to synchronize specific playlist.  If you want more info on this, please after return.

Then add the new photos imported into your other albums from the album 'A' recently imported.  You can also activate my photo stream on the Mac and your iPhone to automatically download all the photos again.
    • If you want to sync the iPhone with the Mac and have libraries of identical Photos, sign up for storage iCloud enpugh hold all your Photos and then activate iCloud photo library on your Mac and your iPhone.   See;  iCloud Photo library FAQ
In this way, the libraries of Photos on your Mac and iPhone will be kept in sync. Any photo that you add to a library will appear in the other. Any photo that you remove a unit is removed from the other device as well. You need to activate "Optimize storage" on the iPhone, if storage is not enough to contain all the photos.

  • Copy music and more from iPhone to mac, rather than the reverse?

Using a PC, I finally have my iPhone music and everything set up exactly like I want. My Mac iTunes library is virtually empty, so I was wondering if there was some sort of implement for phone orders is copied on it, and not vice versa.

A mobile device is designed to allow only limited copying of media from the device to a computer (only iTunes Store purchases).  You need to transfer your library to the Mac, or else he will always want to erase from your phone.

My resume in a sentence if you use preferences by default iTunes settings: copy the folder integer iTunes (and to ensure that all of its subfolders and files) intact at the other disk, hold down the option/alt key (shift on Windows) keys to start iTunes and on request to select a library select iTunes Library.itl file in the copied folder (open a different iTunes library file or create a new one - https://support.apple.com/HT201596).

When it comes to a new car/computer put the iTunes folder copied to the default location of Macintosh HD > users > * user name * > music (or home > music) so you don't even have to start with the down option, iTunes will automatically look it there.  (Make sure that it is no anything already in the iTunes folder it that you want to keep because you will replace it with the one you are moving).  Don't forget to authorize computer in iTunes to your Apple ID if you use it to synchronize with Apple devices or play multimedia DRM protected (e.g., movies).

I tried using different wifi, using LTE networks and to connect it to my Mac. I tried to reboot the device when enabling/disabling iCloud music library. I also tried to use file > library > update to iCloud music library iTunes. I've been at this for about 4 hours now and am about to start rider on my hair. Any help is appreciated.

  • Sync my iPhone on Itunes with NAS library

    Hello

I used to sync to my iphone via itunes with iTunes library that I have stored on my NAS.

I have a new computer and want to do it again.

I had iTunes able to access my library iTunes stored on the NAS, I can play the music on my computer but when I want to sync my iphone, the obly on which I am authorized to do so by Itunes is the local library, not the one on the NAS.

How can I make the NAS library one to use for syncing my Iphone?

The phone searches for the exact same library file used the last time that synchronize you the phone with iTunes.

Hold down the option key while starting iTunes. When you are prompted to select a library to select the file iTunes Library.itl the SIN. If it is not there then you have not kept the entire library on the NAS and the left critical parts of your library back on the old computer.  The only recourse is to get these files to this computer or a backup.  It is usually best to use a portable library but with a SIN, you can run into all kinds of trouble with any iTunes library. In this case, I suspect I know what the problem is, but there are several NAS posts here where we have no idea why a library all of a sudden I have messed up. iTunes and NAS do not play well together.
